Frustrated? We all had our humble beginnings!

Untitled Document

Hi Everyone,

I would really appreciate you commenting on your humble beginnings as we were all "frustrated newbies" at one time or another. Offer words of encouragement to those who are new.

If you are new, and feel overwhelmed, please post in detail why. Then Mike, many of our GVO leaders and I will do a conference call to address all your questions and concerns.

As a new individual here are some core commitments that you adhere to:

1. The more you question if you made the "right" decision, the more you know you did. I was "about to quit" at least 1000 times in the first 2 years before I made my first penny online.

When you're ready to quit, you're closer than you think.

There's an old Chinese saying that I just love, and I believe it is so true. It goes like this: "The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed."

2. Join our GVO academy in our members area! Log into your members area at http://www.gogvo.com/affiliates/ and subscribe to the academy schedule, you can see the academy button on the left side navigation. We have AMAZING instructors who all make a great living online willing to help you succeed.

3. Read and educate yourself daily! Take time on a daily basis to educate yourself further. There are three main ingredients to your success. You need:

>> Massive Passion
>> Take immediate action (you just did)
>> Continuous education.

The education component is so critical, as I have seen people take their massive passion and their actions down the wrong path leading them only to certain failure. Do you think Warren Buffet, Bill Gates or Richard Branson know something you or I don't? Of course, because of their vast experience and real world education any of them could turn $10 into a million in a few weeks max.

4. Don't get into a a panic, you have alot of time!

All too often I see our new members come in with the expectations that their new website is going to make them $4000 to $5000 a month right away. Although I have seen this happen it is extremely rare. Remember, you have invested in starting a business online. No where can you start a business for less than $9.97 a month except for right here!

Take your time, join the academy, and I promise you if you follow the simple steps above you WILL make money!

Please post all your comments below both as a newbies OR as someone who is making money offering encouragement to your downline members on not giving up. We were all frustrated and questioned our decisions. And I can guarantee ALL of us are more than glad that we "stuck it out"

  • Great post guys… look what humble beginnings has led you to!!! Incredible.

  • Pretty inspirational stories for both of you. Everyone has to start somewhere and if they are willing to work hard, and be consistent with their business, they can see success.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • The most important thing is to give it your all. If you are just on the fence, giving a half effort so “see if it works out”, it probably won’t. Get serious, get focused and you too can do this!

  • I am tired and have no money I have been Scammed allot.

    • Hi Terry yes there is alot of crap out there. Thing is with GVO they are
solid and true products and services. We have been providing web hosting
and marketing tool systems for over 12 years now. When it comes to the real
deal. We can back it all up 😉

      Thanks for the post!

      Mike

  • Gentlemen, thanks for sharing your story. I won’t belabor you with mine except we are finally getting ready for our launch of an e-book we have on Amazon for Kindle entitled 40 days with Jesus http://www.40dwj.com still a little ways to go with completing our web-site, and will be launching soon… All powered by GVO’s awesome support and technical team. And by the way it does take a lot of hard word and determination. So capture your dream and hold on to it with everything you’ve got and before you know it you will be launching your project as well.. GVO, host then profits, Meet Cheep ect.. all the tools you need to accomplish your dreams.

    Thanks,
    Charles Grooms

  • Great video! You have to stay motivated and keep learning. You are helping me keep at this. I know following you I will be successful. Thank you

  • Hi Joel:
Of course I have made so many intents but my limitations had been the money; I have not quit but until now the overcome of the barrier seems
    an uncertain fact.
Thanks for you words and desire, I will keep it until the wind change.
    Have a good day.

  • Over the past month or two, the 11:00am est gvoacademy link .. rarely has anything going on. Yet, the calender never changes. Has the academy function been dropped or changed?

    • Hi Bill

Granted we took some time off in the summer, but this September we will be going at the classes alot !!

  • I feel your pain! I also quit a good sales job from depression because of living in motels rather than with my family! I struggled with companies and programs that came and went with my money! Long story short, now I mentor others who came to me as much as over 40,000 dollars in credit card debt but are now earning over 100,000 per year online with me, Point & Click!

  • I have been strugling for a long time, actually quit and restarted several times. This was indeed the best blog post the two of you have ever done.

  • My beginnings with computers started in 1982 – doing bookkeeping and accounting. I had my own accounting business, plus I did accounting/payroll/correspondence; mainly for hotels and restaurants. I was introduced to the Internet in 2001, when at work I found I could download a photo of my newborn grandson from the hospital nursery.

I had a computer (a 486) which I sold in 2000. I decided to go on the Internet so I bought another computer and got hooked up with dial-up service.

I had NO clue what I was doing. I didn’t even know how to copy and paste. I fumbled around for about a year falling for every OPP that was out there. The only thing that GREW was my CC balance owing. LOL.

In March of 2003 I joined GVO (formerly known then as Kiosk.ws) and began my education into web design. We had meetings with Joel and the web designer once or twice a week. That was it! We didn’t have the GVO Conference system that we have now.

By May I had made my first website, and that was really a chore. I was working full-time, coming home and working through the day learning to make websites. There were very few resources at that time, so basically I was self-taught through trial and (a lot of) errors.

In June of 2005, I started doing presentations and classes in the old Hot Conference system. My first few presentations were done with the utmost fear and trepidation.

In summary: At the beginning I knew nothing. I had to learn almost everything by myself. Today I do teach a class on the GVO Tools and some HTML in the GVO Academy. My confidence growing, I now have lists and make commissions from the GVO programs as well as selling my own Web Designs. Plus, I have my own membership program where I teach more advanced Internet web design.

It doesn’t matter what age you are. Granted, it would have been a LOT simpler if I was younger, but I did not start on the Internet until I was 59 years of age. I’m so happy that I took this action, even though it was a late start. I have met SO many wonderful people.

DO join the GVO Academy. I wish it had been there when I started.

    • Claire…. a truly inspiring story, than you so much for sharing it with us. I has been a blessing and a pleasure working with you over the past 10 years or so

      Joel

    • Hi Claire its good to hear your story again and to remind everyone that its never to late to learn i had an accident and was bed ridden for a few weeks and met Claire on a web site course in GVO and what a fantastic learning step its been from knowing nothing to enough to build an online business with Claires help and others.Names like Gabby (bob Garbury ),the Blakester Don Johnson,Bob Wiesman Keith Carboury and J.Q. all trainers from the academy and Kik academy all i can say is thanks and i started when i was 71yrs young Thanks again Claire and G.V.O. Joel and Mike

      • Bob,

Thank you for the confidence in us, we are here for you in anyway possible. Claire.. see how you too are changing lives?

        Joel

        • I was involved in a automobile accident and have not worked in 2 months.
i love the system and will continue when i resume work.

    • Claire you are doing an amazing job, providing us with the knowleage in CSS and HTML. It’s so great to learn from a self-tought pro, that actually talks the talk and walks the walk.

      Andrew

    • I enjoyed your story & I’m right where you were. I do have computer experience but I don’t know how to copy & paste & how to actually get my website to start making money for me. Any suggestions would be helpful & I will join the GVO academy. THanks

    • Dear Claire,
Your story sounds so much like mine. I was wondering if you can send me some information to my email about copy & paste & how to start making money. I’m a newbie just needing a helping hand. Thanks

  • you guy’s have done a great job ..keep up the good work ! ROD…

  • My wife and I never gave up since 5 years we have been venturing into entrepreneurship even though there is lots of ups and downs. every failure is a step closer to success!

    • I love the attitude Kejen, I have failed 1000 times and continue to still fail today. But every failure becomes a valuable learning experience of what not to do. A nine figure business which is what my goal was coming online still has not happened. But it will, as I continue to educate and learn on a daily basis.

One of the most valuable lessons I got was from Dr Bob Parsons of Godaddy, a billion dollar company. I will be sharing what he taught me with everyone soon as his advice has allowed us to set new records every month for the past 1.5 years

  • Every climbing requires a first step. To climb the ladder is the first step.
Sometimes the rope breaks in climbing. The ladder is slippery and we do not know what we’ll find in our next step. For some, this can be very exciting, but for others it is a great frustration.
I confess that I am somewhat tired of searching for answers.

  • Hi Joel, I watched and listened to your blog post. I was impressed. I heard so much of me and what I have been through with networking on the internet for a long time. I have no desire to quit, I have realized what holds me back is that I become overwhelm with the process, and I loose my focus in the hype and glitter on the internet.

Today I no longer become overwhelm by keeping focus, and getting things done. I had to learn to say no to the hype and glitter.

Thanks for your encouragement. You make me feel that someone on this internet cares.

    • Hi Rubi

Thank you!! You have no idea how much I and my team truly care about peoples online success. I remember when the success started for me, I had about 400 hosting clients and it was fun being able to personally serve every single one of them. I truly miss those days. Today as we approach 100 000 clients it is impossible for me to interact with all of them except for here on the blog. I really, really miss those days a ton.

I know we have a great staff, and 95% of them care as much as I do, but I will say it again… I really, really miss that “small company” feel where I could reach out personally to all our clients at anytime 🙁

Just know that from when my day starts often at 4:30am to when I go to bed (usually 10pm) that all of you are on my mind, and often in my dreams too. That is how blessed I am and I can only hope that I can bless others in business on how I have been blessed. Thank you for being an amazing client, customer and friend.

      Joel

  • No angels, just simple hard working people.
Not easy not quick. simple people, simple truth.
    Thank you

  • Joel your gvo academy does it have a library where you 24/7 and learn

    • Yes we have archived on our gvoacademy facebook page, you can find the plugin to the right of this blog post. HOWEVER, they will be found in our members area shortly

  • Quitting is a constant threat for me!

As long as I have been toiling at this, my click bank account has been at about $25 for longer than I remember. So I can’t say I’ve never made anything but certainly haven’t ‘received’ anything.

Now I deal with a stroke and the attendant expenses and the lure of giving up is extremely strong.

While I virtually delete every email I get from the ‘gurus’ that talks about how much they have made, I really do know it’s possible.

    But it can be depressing…

    Thanks
    Bob

    • Bob

I went though severe aspartame poisoning and lead poisoning while building my business. Not that it is a stroke, but it was something that left me Brain fogged all the time. Bob please do not give up

PLEASE, you will not regret it my friend, we are here for you!!

      Joel

  • Hi Joel,
I have spent LOTS of money trying to generate income online with no training or coaching.
I have 2 websites and I am hoping that they will eventually start making
some money. I know you can’t give up or you will surely fail but it’s knowledge that everyone needs to succeed!

  • Hi Guys,
I really respect the effort and tenacity you have shown in generating your own business.
    Keep up the good work!

    To your success,
    Sherrill

  • Great post John l love your video and your stuff… I quit before but came back and wisdom that l was given is investing in yourself through education and finding your passion…taking action daily so far so good:-)….KEY believing in yourself too:-)

  • Hey Joel, I joined GVO about 5 months after I was struggling with my internet business. Although, the original marketing platform I started with was very good, I needed more on the front-end AND back-end to help connect my clients to what they need.

I am actually still converting all of my services to GVO.. (It was a pain seeking out and finding the cheapest hosting services, video hosting, autoresponders, and many other services that GVO offers all under one roof, that every internet marketer NEEDS.

I like the point that the gentlemen made in your hostthenprofits webinar: We know exactly how an internet marketer thinks, so we know exactly what they need. This phrase is so true..

Once I started going through everything (and training) with GVO, I was so happy with the products and services that GVO provides.. I was simply amazed. Your business model reflects a real, genuine, down to earth style, which most business lack these days.

The reseller hosting account was exactly what I needed, I was using 3 hosting services at the time, and now I am working on consolidating them all under one roof, for not only an excellent price, but a CHEAPER price.

No longer will I be sending out affiliate links that cost more than all of GVO services LoL..

    Thanks again!
    Scott Warner

P.S. Joel, your story is similar to mine. I graduated from ultrasound college, got my dream job. Made 96K my first year, then 65K my second year due to cuts and such, but I was depressed also.. I knew this could not be my pinnacle in life.. I even wanted to end my life at a few points..

Fast forward, now I am setting up to replace my job and start working full-time online!

    • Scott

AWESOME!!! Keep pushing forward, once you say good bye to your job you will never look back EVER!!! To be honest I work more now than I ever have but the difference is I LOVE IT. Because I do love it, it feels as though I have been retired for 10 years playing with a hobby that just happens to pay really well 🙂

  • do you have a real person that I can talk to?

I am doing elearning and need support.

  • It truly is amazing to see to close friends for many years talk about there first experience with internet marketing. I have been into this now for 4 months and have had my humble beginnings. But!! Hearing the both of you explain has only made me push harder to succeed. I like mike am a contractor who brakes his ass everyday. my body is tired and I want better for myself! I truly believe I will be successful in this business and am in it for the long haul!!
Thank you both for that great video!!!

    Frank Fucci

    • Frank..

I promise you if you keep at it and learn from others you will soon be retiring your hammer / chisel / tools forever. Now, listen don’t do what Mike did, he GAVE all his tools AWAY… OMG what a dummy (sorry Mike), I told him he could have sold them on ebay and made his first money online before he got started lol!!!

      Joel

  • Hi Joel and Mike, nice video and interesting also. Well I don’t mean to cry on your shoulder but I have my own towel in case.

I have tied Gvo a couple of times and I just get more confused every time. I havew set up my blog as you can see, but not much else. Would it be possible to get help right from the start?

There are so many avenues to travel I get lost in where and what to do next.

This is very important to me because I am on a retirement fixed income and every month I lose a percentage of it do to the economy and the cost of living index.Getting harder to pay my living expenses.:>(

Thanks in advance for any help you and Mike can give.

  • Fabulous post brothers, man I don’t know if we have enough space to talk about how many times I was faced with brick walls higher than I could see. ( I could have used a brother like Mike a Long time ago. 😉 )

I was told by my father I would never make it online, and that I should get a real job!

My mother was somewhat supportive but we never talked a lot about it.

I lost several relationships with past girlfriends over this internet passion to succeed online.

See here is how it works … Its real simple, anything and everything that you may be hearing about why you shouldn’t be doing what you are doing I have heard before!

Its only when we decide we need to make that change in our lives and we want it more than we want to breathe, that we can see a small spark of success or a glimmer of hope.

Mentor ship is something to be said now a days in todays online environment, and I really wish I had met you guys years before, so it would not have taken me so long to learn the things needed to see success online.

I tell people almost daily … When I started no one wanted to teach their tricks on internet success.

Now we as leaders know and understand it is partitive for our success to help you succeed!

I personally would like to say to any of you reading this post right now … YES YOU CAN MAKE IT!

    Don’t you ever give up!

Learn all you can from those that are willing to make a difference in other peoples lives.

Joel and Mike are just a small example of the teamwork and family environment that you will be sharing in.

    Together all things are possible,
I am just personally glad for you that you are no longer on your own.

Congratulations and welcome to your new home.

See you in the training room where I look forward to your successes in life with GVO!

You are an awesome person and GVO academy leader. Thank you so much for all you do bud! You are the greatest

  • Hello Guys,
Great heart to heart blog as usual. Newbies and Oldbies
can easily make $10.00 per month like I did within 30 days from
the day they start going to the Academy
    Training meeting.
I listened to you guys in 2009 when GVO was
launched and attended every Academy meeting for just
one month after it was launched, until I was in profit.
    http://www.gogvo.com/affiliates/gvoacademy.php

I have never looked back since then

I have never ever got frustrated with GVO
because I earn a good monthly income,
which goes up a little every month.
I only get frustrated with the Newbies
and Oldbies who do not go to the meetings
at the Academy especially the ones in my downline.

Most of my downline have come from spillover
and I do not have their email address,
so I cannot “poke” these guys daily to go
to send them to the academy only for a short time
    until they are in profit.
Why don’t you send all the members a short
recording weekly of what happens at the Academy
so they can get a taste of the value of this awesome
    product.
Keep on Blogging and get the flip chart out
now and again, to show members how to make their
    first $10.00 per month.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Joel, Mike
and all the Staff for a wonderful 2+ yrs with GVO.

  • Hi, I keep crashing into a brick wall. I get so excited by the sales pitch that I think ” yes! brilliant I can do this” then as you get into it I realize the sales pitch was just to get you in. Then I get told things like “Well I cant help you if your not willing to pay for advertising” when the sales pitch say’s “start up your own online business free with out even having to advertise”. I am doing one now which stated many time there are plenty of ways to advertise for free, now the further and further I get into it the less realistic that accusation seems. Don’t get me wrong I want to pay for advertising but after paying for the program which stated to make money for free I am left with no money to advertise. If that particular program say’s your make money with in 30 days you realize you will only ever make any money if you advertise. So really the whole program has been sold to you with unrealistic claims of being able to make sales with the free advertising options. As for the free advertizing it’s just sending email promotions to people who have set up that email address to receive the promotions and they skip right past it to earn mailing credits for them self’s. It’s a vicious circle where people with money make money and people without just have there money taken off them and get told “you wont ever make it unless you put your all into it” This is my frustration. What do you do if you don’t have money to advertise an probably never will have?

    • Hi Lewis

Paid advertising is the fast track for sure, but like you I had no money and was forced out of my comfort zone and used alot of sweat equity to get started. Like Mike mentioned in this post I too went door to door, the equivalent online would be join alot of group forums and doing sweat equity that way.

Solo ads can be as little as $20 and it a good start that is cheap.

Don’t give up!!! but be willing to work outside what you know as comfort, as very little happens in your comfort zone

  • The internet is my only hope for a positive future. I’ve been at it for longer than I want to remember and I have still to make my breakthrough. I could have given up many times, but I didn’t. I keep learning and I know that so long as I keep taking action and moving forward, then at some point I will make it!!!

    • Michael

Try pushing yourself a little more out of the comfort zone, it is hard but once you do it is life changing

  • Joel, I just finished watching you guys video and I have passion for starting my own online business. Just a lil scared but I really want a change for my life.
My first step is to join the GVO academy..today!!

  • Hi Joel

    • Hi Damian,

I registered with this website already for 5 days now and have, as of today, 1314 visitors but no referrals.

do I need to do anything more to promote this from my back office? Or just leave it and let the system work for me?

Thank you in advance for our help

      Clara

  • Thank you guys for sharing your stories. This is real encouragemnt to develop confidence in embarking on the path to financial independent.

I know there are stumbling blocks to content with but Listening to you guy make me know that endurance will produce great outcome.

    Thanks for your inspiration.

    • Delroy

Just keep the inspiration going, it takes more than a day, a month and in some cases as in myself a few years as i was a slow learner

  • great post guys! my story i’ll put in bullets otherwise it would be a novel to put on kindle..

online since 2005 but serious since 2007..
    no real income to mention…
worked 13 years at grumman aircraft, in various areas on long island.
on a disability pension for tourettes syndrome since 1996 …
    Nov. 29, 2010 ( wife’s birthday ) had a stent placed in a major artery
and almost bled to death in the recovery room.

have not felt good since and have many days of depression, pauin and tears. finding out along the way, via eft and reiki, that my parents really never showed me any love ( especially my alcoholic father )and the way even today that i use to have people, my wife included, show they care, is to get ill. this has been my m.o. since childhood.

unhappy in marriage/life but i am determined to get through it and find the peace, happiness and love i deserve WITHOUT getting myself ill to feel it.

i let my pain in hands, fingers, neck and basically all over my body, hold me back.

having just lost my very nice weekly zeek income, i feel like saying “EFF” it, quitting and just get some regular job in the local supermarket at 10 bux/hour. I guess my success is right in front of me then, huh? i’ve heard that story and i thank you for reminding me.

now i warned you this could wind up an amazon kindle ebook, didn’t i-:)

anyway…i know i need to focus and quit being so frustrated with tyhings especially when my pc freeezes and i’ve got to waste time rebooting and all. i do want to say that when i get good amount of sleep and some movement in my body ( instead of sitting all day/night on pc ) and have some paper in my pockets, i am much more focused and do not get frustrated/angr nearly as easily as when i’m feeling tired and overwhelmed.

my best trait is that i am persistent though sometimes to a fault in that i’ll refuse to give up on something that may not be working out well ( like a marriage-:).

i usually have a great sense of humor though with the pain i find myself in, i see much less of this as each day passes. think i need to check in with Jeff Dunham and Achmed again.
they usually get me laughing again-:) did i really say, “they?”
i’ve shared way too much info here so thanks and enjoy the week everyone..

    • John

Alot of zeek members are coming on with us, do you have the ability to contact them?

      • Joel,
i tried replying to your question a few times but my pc crashed each time…actually i got some sort of compatibility msg. before being redirected to the top of your blog here. these are the little things that i feel frustrated over and are a waste of time. BUT, I can be PERSISTANT so…

        Re: your question about zeek contacts;
i can contact limited amount that i’ve come to connect with although they were not in my team. i do still have many leads from the marketing system itself.
there is a new program launching next month that i have been promoting but with the page supplied by my sponsor, a top leader in zeek, instead of using my own lead capture/splash page out of sheer laziness and unsure of what type of a value incentive i could use.
sadly, i think zeek’s closing is going to have a lot of people giving up, but hopefully not.

oh..and i have been a member of GVO for about 9 months or so but have yet to attempt using the great services…out of fear, of course.

        • John

Even I have learned alot from Zeek, no I was not a member, but what I learned is we need to simplify GVO even more which is what we are doing now. Stay with us you will like the simplicity coming

Simplicity was the success of Zeek

  • I’m still struggling but guess the time will come when it all will come together.

  • Great inspirational video guys, I know the feeling, all this weekend I’ve been on the verge of abandonment, after having spent the last two years and over $10,000 trying to get this to work.

I am (or should I say was ) at the point of giving up, I’ve been a single parent for the last 13 years and have constantly been promising my two teenage daughters that life will get better.

Well it hasn’t, I had to sell the family home 5 months ago, and we are now living in rented accommodation, which makes me feel like a total failure and that I have let my daughters down. I’m now at the point that if I don’t start getting an income very soon, we will be at the mercy of the social services. Hence feeling ready to give up.

But your video has given me renewed hope. I have a fantastic product that will help a lot of people avoid the hardships that I have had to endure for the last 13 years, so I now know that I owe it not only to my daughters and myself not to give up, but to all those people that are in the same situation I have been in.

So a huge thank you from my daughters and I, and also the tens of thousands of teaching staff in Spain that will benefit from the program I have created for them to help them avoid unemployment and the inevitable downhill slide that being unemployed brings, that had it not been for your video would not have seen the light of day….

    Thanks Guys…

PS: I’m trying to access the Español tab on your fb fan page but am getting an error message (Secure Browsing Not Supported). This is going to be a huge part of my moving forward with my program… any chance of getting it fixed please.

    • Debbie

Put in a help desk ticket and ask to speak to Fernanda, she can you bring you in as a speaker on our spanish calls 🙂

Best of luck,,.. wait never mind luck, you WILL make it happen!!

      Joel

  • Joel and Mike!

I enjoyed the video and your blog. Very inspiring! I had been in the construction workforce traveling the country working from coast-to-coast. It was nice traveling and seeing our great nation but the work took its toll on my knees. I know where Mike is coming from.

Next to our military in a “war zone” construction work (which includes stone masons) is the hardest work in America.

Anyhow, I just got started in the online marketing/affiliate business in January 2012. And yes, I have bought into a lot of garbage that is flying around the internet… buying one piece of software after another with NO success. Not to mention the hundreds of downloads of PDF material I now have saved on my laptop.

I just found out about GVO, and joined, a few days ago. I got connected to GVO through the Plug-In Profit Site. I now have two websites, just this year, but have not made any money. I am looking for ways to monetize my sites. I am hoping to learn the “monetizing” part from GVO and other partners in the Plug-In Profit Site.

I am happy to say that GVO will be creating my “3rd” website within the next couple of weeks. The one consistent piece of information that I have learned in just the 8 months I have worked at this, is to create “multiple streams of income.”

I have been enrolled in a local Technical and Community College which did not help me to concentrate on my first website (which is still up and running). I made the decision to not enroll this fall semester (and maybe the winter semester) just so I can concentrate more on the Internet Marketing/Affiliate business.

I am not ashamed to say, my goal is to become a millionaire Internet Marketer. I know I have set some pretty high goals but there is a process to follow… and if followed correctly there is nothing that will stop me from achieving my goals.

Additionally, I have signed up for the GVO Academy and I am looking forward to the next training session. And, by the way, I have cut ties with over 95% of the previous Internet “Gurus” that I have ran across in the previous 8 months. Thanks Joel.

    Terrence Daniels

A future Internet Marketer Millionaire… this is not hype… this is my goal… my dream!

    • Terrence,

I am not ashamed to say, my goal is to become a millionaire Internet Marketer. I know I have set some pretty high goals but there is a process to follow… and if followed correctly there is nothing that will stop me from achieving my goals.

Rejoice my friend, there is no shame here as If you believe you can you WILL, if you think you can’t you WONT, you are ALWAYS right!

I had a stupid first goal… pay my mortgage, and I did that, why was it stupid, because why did I set my first bar so low?? Shame on me!!!

It was refreshing to hear your goals, we are here to help you make those happen!!!

      Joel

  • I am a newbie, and I admit, I do get frustrated at times. But I have also been around long enough to know success doesn’t come overnight!

I retired last year, only to find out my pensions weren’t going to be what they were supposed to, and had to find something to make ends meet. I have looked over the years at all kinds of different ways to make money on the internet but realized the only ones making money were the gurus promising me that I could. I am a firm believer that there is a reason for everything, and when I decided to join in my current program, I didn’t question it. This is the first time I have actually signed up for an online business, and so far I love the honesty, and the sincerity you guys have given to us all.

I have only been active a few weeks but have gotten a fairly good start. I have a substantial number of leads, and the anticipation of converting them is almost overwhelming. If you take each one as a separate challenge, it brings things more into focus, and it doesn’t feel like you are facing a brick wall. It will take time but well worth the effort involved.

So to all the other “newbies” out there, DON”T GIVE UP!!! If you need an answer, ask the question? Everyone involved here has been at the same point as you!

    Dave

  • Awesome stuff guys. Definitely resonates with so many of us I’m sure. It’s so important to not give up AND to not just keep buying stuff but to get focused and see that money come in while you’re sleeping!

Love your point about trust Mike, and about how it’s important to not let people talk you out of success online.

    Good stuff all around.

  • Great post!

I think people do need to realize that the temptation to quit visits all of us from time to time.

Given how the economy is though, for people who just want to add a layer of financial security to their “day jobs”, online marketing is still the most viable and cost-effective option.

Knowing where to start and how to work smart take time and effort. I’m glad GVO is both a service provider and online marketing academy to help my customers make that transition!

  • The urge to quit will all ways be there when you first start your
online business, but quiting if not a option just a thought. So dont let the hard times

  • never give up just when you’re about to give up is when you’re about to succeed

  • Hi Joel,

Just finished watching the video and am truly impressed but still a little leary. Just like ya’ll, I don’t have a lot of internet experience and do have the desire to make what I start a sucess. You make it sound so easy. I know that knowledge is a key to whatever you want to accomplish so I’m believing if I have plenty of that the frustration part will be history. Speaking of history, I’m currently unemployed and the job search is just as frustrating. I want a change and I really think this is it if the help is there. I’m no stranger to hard work so I believe I will give it a try.

    • Gonzlee

It was NOT easy at first for any of us, I struggled for 2 years before making one red cent. PLEASE join our academy in the members area it will help you alot!

  • oel
Just finished watching you guys video and am passionate about starting my own online business. You mentioned education. Is there a specific place to obtain education information, or just complete the mentor academy program?

    Brenda

  • Hi Guys

I have not been at this long, but have already come across a lot of people who would not know the truth if it bit them in the arse. Since I joined GVO I can only say it has restored my faith – there are genuine people out there who care about others and are willing to share there knowledge and expertise to the betterment of all

    Cheers guys
    Mike

  • Hey guys,

Good, inspirational video – means a lot when one put’s one’s faith into something and then sees that there is something “real” behind it. I have to say that this new venture IS daunting and overwhelming, mainly because you can’t tell who to trust to give your hard earned money to help you succeed – too many shady emails out there.

But guys, I am willing & have to make this work, though… I recently got laid off (5/25/12) after my wife and I had our first-born (5/11/12). Five years of hard work and dedication meant nothing to this corporation, to them, I was just another number. That’s why I will do my BEST not to work for someone else again.

I look forward and am excited,

    Juan Zamora

    • Juan

It is truly sad..because we lose alot of clients who subscribe to the BS out there and cancel literally a day after they joined because they didn’t make any money yet

Can people actually believe it is that easy. I mean it is not super hard, but start a business online and the next day put 1k in your pocket… geeze

  • Hi! Joel and Mike, I just wanted to say this is my first week of being involved in the GVO program. I haven’t touch bases exactly with being to overwhelmed yet. But I know for a fact that I will be a in little more time down road, Due to the lack of real internet marketing knowledge. So thanks for the GVO academy. My first real learning experience. Abd the path to my success, finally as a internet marketer; getting somewhere. I have a question, though, how do you find, the resources for creating your websites. Correction I am overwhelmed by knowledge of creating a website down in open blog. Hope you can shed some light how to get started.

  • Elvis Jackson Etuah.

Great inspirational video guys, I am happy for today’s message of encouragement; it has proven to me that I’m not alone on this business. Also, I’m passionately convinced that joining the G V O training Academy is the best solution to all my wondering about here and there. You are my Masters, the master brain from which all my future internet business successes ought to come from. Please, hold me fast, close to your heart and teach me all that you can to make me a superman on the internet.

  • Seems like you have a great group of people here. I’m a newbie.

  • Hi Joel,

I’m new and the training in step 2 I will check it out. I signed up with gogvo on 7-19-2012. What type of program is gvo? Is it a tracking tool or referr tool. I don’t really know right now. I’m willing to learn and train. I donot give up because I know the end of the road is bigger than what I think.

Thanks for contacing me thru email.

    Have A Great Week!!!

    • Hi Adrian,

GVO is a powerhouse for building a business. Not only do we give
you web hosting but we also give you the best tools in the industry
to make an impact with your site. Now all of our sites/products and
services are backed with an awesome affiliate program.

People that do not have a business model to follow…its ok! We still
have everything in place for people to market our services and collect
      crazy residual commissions from.

Hostthenprofit is one of our biggest referral programs and is doing
      amazing online.

  • Hi guys. Appreciate your video. Sounds like you care & understand. YES I’m frustrated because I really believe there is a way to make money online but it continues to elude me. I am depressed right now because of our poor financial situation, both my wife & mom are very ill, I don’t concentrate well right now due to the depression & I don’t know from day to day whether I’m working the next since work is very slow on my day job now.
I DO want to learn to make money online but I need simple & clear directions as my computer skills are limited.
I was introduced to you thru MYPCBACKUP, but I’ve allowed my account with you to be suspended due to all of the confusion. I never quite got a handle on the EZMM, E.N.,etc. I never even knew if I had obtained any e-mail campaigns.
I’ll gladly re-join if you would simplify everything for me.
I’ll stop here. Thanks fro listening.

    • Hi Greg

I am not foo familiar with the programs that introduced us but we are a one stop shop for what you need, all the tools and education are RIGHT here 🙂 And at $9.97 per month trust me you do not need to spend money elsewhere .

HOWEVER, once you make an income with us, it is a really good idea to take some of that income and re invest it back into advertising your business etc

Give us a call at the office as we would love to have you back 1-210-651-4487

  • My “humble beginnings” came after 18 months of failures, back in 1999 – and that was AFTER dropping out of college, much to my parents disappointment. But once I turned that first dollar in profit, there was no turning back. (That first dollar in affiliate marketing is always the hardest; it gets easier after that, I promise!)

In looking back, my biggest mistake while starting out was trying to make money. As I know now, the surest path to success (both financial and spiritual) is in helping others achieve their goals. Paradoxical but true. And believe me, EVERYONE has something of value to share – even if you’re a “newbie”.

So never be afraid to fail forward, and always remember to pay it forward – success WILL follow. (And don’t forget to build your list! Learn how at GVO Academy.)

Here’s to humble beginnings and repeated failures: The surest path to success!

    • Tissa

Very well said and great advice, fail forward fast!! I myself continue to fail on a daily basis, but those failures bring me closer to many new successes. Your a great friend Tissa, thanks for sharing, I have learned alot from you 🙂

      Joel

    • Well i am right there at the quitting line seriously speaking. I’m a newbie and i am having problems setting up my gvo account and all that goes along with it ,still trying though. i used to in mlm and was totally against doing anything like it again but here i am . I am giving it my all and you know what hopefully one day i will know what it feels like to make money doing what you really like ,because i really like doing my affiliate marketing. i am totally broke but i am not giving up.

      • Hi Ann

Can you help us and be more speciific at to what part you are having trouble with? Is it setting up your site or?

  • Hi guys:

I liked listening to your struggles to become successful. And you did!! Your struggles are quite different from mine. At the beginning, and I mean a year or two back to when gvo launched, I found interest and was really excited about starting an internet business. The 7 minute workout began and I was in the beta test and was really excited about that. I started doing the exercises and planning my menu. I even told a few people back then with negative results. I even went to the training sessions on line in the conference room. However, it didn’t take long for me to start losing interest. I was tired all the time and in so much pain due to my physical problems. Being in front of the computer for even a half hour was too much for me. Due to that I became quite depressed and just gave up altogether. I’m not a young person such as yourselves who have the ambition and drive to succeed. Maybe fear of failing was a real cause but also a fear of success was on my mind. It seems that once you become successful, then more effort has to be put in for growth. That in turn overwhelmed me. So, in essence fear of failure started when I was in my childhood because that is always what I experienced in my childhood. Not knowing where to turn is overwhelming in itself. Over time, I developed fear of success because I couldn’t see me being successful. Look at all the responsibility I would have to endure? I am still a member and have been because deep down in my heart, I feel that the time will come where I will just go for it! I usually hang on because quitting would be a defeat for me. Yes, I pay my membership but it is money just spent not doing anything but I just keep on paying. I can’t explain why but it’s something I hold on to. For me to quit would be defeat and since I trust Joel and believe me he is an honest person, I still hang on. All this might seem personal but those out there who struggle such as I have, the right to know how I feel. I’m not giving up. I sorta in limbo if you know what I mean. Hopefully soon, before I am 6 feet under I will find that success will be working for me. Thanks for allowing me to put in my input.

All the success in the world to you.

    Mel

    • Mel

We feel your frustrations, especially when physically you are not up to par. I know when I had my lead poisoning it was hard to push forward when you have massive migrains all the time.

Can you do me a favor and analyze what has and has not worked for you? Post it here on the blog

  • HI,
These words of encouragement couldn’t have come at a better time. Time is my issue, working 2 jobs 12 hours a day,but knowing this is where I need to focus my attention so I can get of that spinning wheel. Going to
    check out the academy. Thanks

    • Hi Kathleen awesome post! Yes please check out the academy as well. It is for sure
a great hub in paving the way. If you work it…it will happen!

      Have an awesome day,

      Mike

    • Kathleen

You are in a great place, having a job and backup plan is key to your success. TOo many people have no job or backup plan and expect to make 5k in month one. You are doing it the right way, keep at it.

Only quit your job when your income online is greater than what youa re making now UNLESS you have very little overhead. When I got started I lived on my wifes salary and our mortgage payment was only $400 a month

  • Thank you Joel!
You were the first, who led me to the internet business.
You invited to some seminars where I was scared by new terminology.
Now I have my site. It is very young yet.I am filling it with my articles. I desided to become a copywriter. I didn’t sell anything yet and I DO need somebodies help. I am thankful to you that you suggest me your help. Hope, with your help I will get out of that frustration of newbie.

  • Well I must say that maybe I am the only one here using GVO for a whole other purpose but I have to say I so far I am loving it. I do not use it for a money making purpose but as a teaching atmosphere and it has everything I have been looking for. There are several features I would love to see added in the future that my past webinar room had but by far GVO is great and I know many people who will probably be interested in it when I tell them how I am using it. Its a great conference room for teaching and having the youtube video player was the selling point for me as we use it 98% of the time. I have several frustrations but hoping to get them worked out. So happy I stumbled upon GVO just in time.

    • Hi Amira thank you so much for the great feed back. I am glad you feel this way…
however with any frustrations please let us know what we can do to help 🙂

      Have an awesome day!

      Mike

  • I’m really enjoying the design and layout of your website. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your theme? Great work!

  • Thanks, Joel and Mike for the inspirational story. I’m close to that point right now. Working 9-10hr a day, getting home learning methods, trying to build and promote my sites. I already have some site up and running, but always keep going back to the sites that are still in the back of my mind.

How did you focus on the main thing meaning your bussiness?

Sometimes i feel like i have let you down, but i wont give up. I will continue to learn and taking action.

Thanks for everything you do, Joel and Mike. You ROCK!

    • Hey Andrew…you nailed one of the most common things. Focusing on one thing can be much
almost impossible. It is for me anyways LOL I constantly have to break projects down and
always go with what is the most effective/quickest and most profitable things I can be focused
on. See with GVO it is not only a business but many sub products and services that could actually
stand by themself. We are always jumping from one to another but always make sure we finish what
      we started. 😉

Thanks for the awesome post man!

      Mike

  • Always love it when you two talk from the heart 🙂 I started out with internet marketing on my own in 1998 where I had the great fortune of meeting my best bud and business partner Stephanie Remers soon after that. We have sure had our highs and lows, and when we got into GVO, we had a LOT of relearning to do.

We became students of the Academy and soaked up everything we could and because we took action, we have not only built our business, but had the desire to give back and became instructors for the Academy. If we can help one person have a light bulb moment in our classes each week, we know we’re doing our job.

For all you newbies out there reading this.. we were ALL newbies at one time. Give yourself permission and the time to learn what you need to. There are lots of great folks at GVO who are here to help you!

  • Hi
We have started a small company that deals in IT and we are looking to go online. We have decided to have our own website but we have not come around to it as we do not know how.
When I saw this site, I was impressed and thought wow!how can we make use of this opportunity.
Can we be assisted or maybe info etc etc please
    Regards
    Mikaele

    • Mikaele

We do do web design on a per case basis, pls put in a ticket in the members area and we can find you a good designer. Claire Poulton one of the academy instructors is quite good
so mention her name in the ticket please 🙂

  • Joel & Mike;
I am currently disabled from my job. I have time, but no money or time (I am 56yrs) to go back to school to learn a new career. I have created my domain on GVO, but I don’t know what to do now. My finances are ‘nil’ and I am so afraid GVO will cost me a lot of money to get started. What do I do from here?

    Thank you.

    • Hi Rose

Pls see the academy schedule in the members area and join those classes ASAP they will help you a ton!

  • Hi Joel and Mike, thanks for the inspiring video. I just started Internet Marketing early August 2012, I keep saying “I have ZERO/NO knowledge about Internet Marketing”, and it is delaying the process. After watching your video, I must STOP saying it, move on and never give up!

    Thanks again!

  • Hello Guys!
In Spanish please!

Felicidades !

  • Hi Joel,

I’ve been a customer of GVO for almost 7 years now. I got my dedicated server when you were still in Canada. People need to understand that even when you are successful the road is not always smooth.

I remember the trying times you went through when you moved from Canada to Texas or when the huricane went through and you lost electricity for days.

I’m not a real promoter of businesses with the MLM business model but I was successful in promoting one of your promotions a couple of years ago and I’m still receiving commissions today. I do promote GVO for hosting on my blog.

It is important for newbies to establish their goal and then brake that main goal down into many smaller goals that will be easier to acheive.

The main thing is to not get distracted from the goal you are working on by the next shiny object unless it can be applied to helping the acheiving of the current goal being worked on.

No matter how tempting the new shiny object is do not buy it because it will take you in a different direction away from the goal you are working on. This is the cause of information overload and not knowing what to do next.

Another recommendation is to choose one mentor and stick with that mentor. Joel has acheived success and can help you success using his business model.

I’m know I was not a success overnight and I’m sure Joel was not either. but he has gone through the school of hard knocks and can save you a lot of regrets and speed up your success.

The information at GVO is very helpful and I’m always willing to say good things about GVO as they have have been instrumental in my success.

    Wishing you much online success,
    Steve Yakim

  • I have 3 domain names with you guys already. I am trying to put all of them together. I need help setting up my webpages with videos and links to my other products. If you have someone I could work with please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it. You can email or call me at 214 235 6652. Thanks Craig Tatum

  • I’m afraid it’s already to late for me I already quit. I had no idea what I was doing and was lead into creating a website with no product to offer so I’m nit sure how I’m having downline when I don’t have anything. But whatever the case may be this just isn’t for me at this time, because I don’t have money to put into it.

    • Hi Jewell…Mike here and thanks for your post. Many come on board with us
and have no idea that they become an instant affiliate. For many that have
no product or service to market. We supply you with a complete affiliate
sysytem for those that wish to market our services and collect monthly
      residual commissions.

Hope we can invite you back soon.
      Have a wonderful day!

      Mike

  • Hey Guys I have been finding more no sales days then actual sale days. I have been unemployed for 2 years now and jumped on board in 2011. i literally have no money. I use all the free aves except for the hostthen profit. I have a small downline which started recently.I was a titanium member when i first started but i am broke . I have been fighting through all the diappointments . I will not give up. Please contact me so I can follow and duplicate at least a descent income. my blog with your hosting is http://www.cracormarketing.com. i am spread out and overinformed. i need to be pointed in to a plan that can work.

  • Hello Joel. Great Post! I am right now at this moment passing thru that frustration myself. I have made 3 Blogs monetized them by adsense and affiliate banners, done article marketing, website directory submissions joinned 32 social media accounts to start generating some traffic by baclinks, i have seen some results in terms of traffic i have gone from 0 to 30 visitors a day but still I haven’t seen a penny after a whole year. I’m constantly looking for new things to learn to apply to my sites, so there are days that i feel very frustrated but i enjoy learning and I tell you that i have learned a lot in the past year in terms of the internet. So I wiil keep on going and learning more and more untill I achive my goal.
    Thanks for the post!

  • It’s information like this that makes me realize how awesome you guys are and why I love GVO.

I really needed the encouragement to move forward and am glad you shared your personal stories. Much needed!

  • Joel & Mike:
I’m definitely a frustrated newbie, first I don’t know how am I going to built my website, but besides that, I think I screw up big time when I settled-up my WHM. I think I was suppose to see and let the unlimited options for all the fields-that appeared that way, and I really don’t remember if it did appear that way- unlimited- or not, but I end up with a package of 1MB?
As I told you I really screw up this one, and probably I’ll do it again, right… I’m a newbie!
Thanks for all your patience; you do know how overwhelmed I am. You were there too!
    The best for you guys!
    Alina

    • Hi Alina…Mike here from GVO. You are in the right place for sure.
Maybe the resources are not in a great place for you. Do not worry
about your WHM. You can not break anything in here. Sure you can reset
and give your account more space. However if you do not have a site
live yet…it is not a big issue for you at the moment.

You for sure have a domain name registered…so if you are looking for help
with a web site. Please contact me directly at mike.kiosk@gmail.com

  • Hi Joel & Mike,

Just read your email this morning (28/8) and was about to skip it as I usually do with emails containing videos – they take sooo long to watch, I get drowsy and become uninterested afterwards).

This time though I decided to give it a go. Yes, I am one of those frustrated newbies, having joined GVO in November, 2011, through PlugInProfit. Stone Evans has recommended GVO as one of the 5 online businesses to join in order to earn multiple streams of income (the other 4 are SFI, which I am now actively & happily involved in as an Executive Affiliate, MyWorldPlus, which I am thinking of cancelling, Traffic Swarm, & 7Minute Workout). When it came to joining GVO, I hit my first obstacle – that of building a website. I told Stone Evans I already have a website (www.writingeditingproofing.com) hosted by Brain Host and now I am trying to work out how to customise/personalise/monetise it. It’s very daunting and overwhelming for someone not so tech-savvy like me (I’m actually an ID-10-T!) when it comes to computer.

Up till now I haven’t heard from Stone Evans when I asked why he is replacing MyWorldPlus with Dot.com. So I’m thinking of cancelling my membership from the rest of the ones he recommended. The discount card issued by MWP which is slugging me for $19.00 a month is not being accepted in Australia, so what’s the use of having it. And I don’t understand and know how to work the business anyway.

However, after reading others’ comments I’m having second thoughts about GVO. Can you really help me understand this business, why I need to have another website, and how many websites do I need to build?
I don’t know why I joined but I trusted Stone Evans so I did.

Please enlighten my muddled thoughts. I have too many on my plate at the moment, and my inbox is overflowing with emails from internet marketers offering unbelievable riches while rubbishing ‘Gurus’ who teach building an online business the hard way. By the way, didn’t they learn from the same ‘Gurus’ the tricks they’re now using to trick us?

I’d appreciate your thoughts, Joel and Mike.

    Thank you.

    • Gliceria

Stone is an amazing person I know him personally. However like myself, when you have thousands of people to work with you can not, it is physically impossible to answer alle mails personally or help every single person

I would really reccomend as well please come to the academy in the gvo members area, we can for sure help you get into profit there.

    • Gliceria…Mike here from GVO…I can go into alot of infor here.
I would much rather you contact me directly at mike.kiosk@gmail.com
as I will go through many thing that I think might help you personally.

Hope to hear from you soon!

      Mike

  • Hi Joel and Mike –
Thanks for sharing your stories of how you began internet business.

I have been using GVO Titanium for a number of years .

I use it to host all my websites and have only made a few bucks building and hosting websites for others as I have diverted my attention to many “noises” out there …

Well I guess I should get back to focusing on Local Business which is a better bet …

    Thanks

  • I am clueless. Sent a mail to my sponsor; no reply received. spent so much money and know nothing ….. about web site building or internet marketing…. your email read that it would be very easy; all it needed was investment of our time… What am to do? how am i to do? I thought my sponsor would tell me …..
I need some one to teach me…. else I would be left with no choice but to quite.

    • Hardy

There is not need to rely on your sponsor as we do have the academy in the members area. Your sponsor is busy running their business and it is time to get busy running yours 🙂 Pls join us on the academy, it is free and you will learn what you need to know 🙂

  • You may not have heard from me for awhile but I’m still with you!

Your down-to-earth stories are so important because the Internet can be overwhelming and distracting from the most important activity…caring!

    Thanks, it feels like family.
    Mel

    • Mel

We will always keep it real and stay down to earth, that is a promise

    • Hey Mel…nice to see you here. I hope all is well with you and you know for sure
that we keep it real 😉 Thats who we are! Being real is very easy to do when there
is so much BS out there.

Nice to see you Mel have an awesome day!

  • Hi Joel and Mike,

Your stories are really inspiring. You guys have shown us your determination to make the change and have the guts to face the unknown.

In Singapore, where I am and which is thousands of miles from where you are, people here are no different. We fear the unknown and would not take the risk. Internet businesses have been picking up in Singapore, and many wants to get on this bandwagon as a quick way to riches. This is because many internet marketing websites have been promising buyers to a ” push button” wealth solution to financial problem. Hence many came and many have left too. I guessed it is all about expectation and a need to do a reality check.

I have a full time job and like many others giving Internet business a go. I bought my first domain name and hosting from WSKiosk many years ago. Did not make a single cent till about 5 years later. I am still making a little money now, just a little bit more than the beginning. I don’t blame anyone for this as I am a just not putting enough effort to grow it. But this proves that making money online is a reality and a great possibility.

Thank you guys for a great blog.

    Cheers

    • Hi WIlliam

Youa re doing it the smart way. And that is you have realistic expectations and a backup plan, which is do not quit your job until you are financially free. My backup plan, although not a great one was to keep my expenses very low and live in an 800 sq foot town house and live off my wifes income. It was very tough but we were still able to get most of our bills paid.

Too many have no income and except miracles online. FOlks have your backup plan, as making a ton of money online is doable, very doable, but it wont happen overnight!!

William thanks for being an amazing client

  • Hello Joel

I have been on the internet for over 10 years now, and have not made a penny. What I would like is something that is low cost, and will show a return. I have listened to you and Mike on the blog and know were you are comming from, but I don’t seem to be able to get over the first hurdle.
Any advice and help would be appreciated.

    Best regards
    Edward

  • I can remember my first few months as an internet marketer and how frustrating they were. It seemed as if I was doing everything right but I was making no money from it at all. The one thing I did not do though was give up, I just kept plugging away at it and in my 5th month I made my first sale, a whopping $16.49 but boy did it feel good.
I know run my own SEO company which is beginning to go from strength to strength, but even today we have good weeks and bad weeks. That is the way it goes in life, but if you just keep plugging away at what your doing you will see the rewards.

  • As the parent of a child with autism (before anyone even knew what the word even meant), I spent many years of my life living on a daily basis, just for him and my other son.

I was a mother and a carer but felt trapped and as though I’d lost my identity and had no way to get it back.

I couldn’t go out to work because I couldn’t leave my son with anyone, and whilst I love him dearly, it’s certainly true my life has never been the same since he was born.

It wasn’t until I joined the internet revolution on my 50th birthday, I realised you could do more with a computer than just send e-mails, and I guess you could say I’ve been hooked ever since.

Coming from a small village in UK, it’s opened up a whole new world for me.

However, it can be a lonely existence, especially as none of my peers, (whose main topics of conversation are the price of food in the supermarkets, the weather and local “news”, have no clue what I do, or, how it’s possible to make money without ever leaving home, or actually having something physical to sell.

Each day though, I’m introduced to either someone or something new, and the possibilities of creating wealth and relationships are endless, which in itself is a problem.

After all, there are only so many hours in the day, and the internet can be very addictive, especially when you’re having fun!

One constant in my life though is GVO and its related companies, who provide amazing hosting, tools, services and support.

Whilst the online journey can seem overwhelming at times, everyone has to start at the beginning and the first step is always the hardest.
Sometimes, when I think about it, I’m amazed how much I’ve learned over the years and the things I’m able to do.

I’ve created static and mobile websites, installed blogs, made graphics, created videos, held interviews and been interviewed, written articles and blog posts, published books, ghost written copy, mastered software, spoken on webinars and at a live event once, as well as met some wonderful people from many different countries.

So you can see why I said the internet has opened up a whole new world for me, can’t you?

Someone once said, “Quitters never win, and Winners never quit”, which is something you might want to think about if ever you feel despondent and frustrated with your progress.

Also, you might want to read this poem, which I not only have on my blog, but include in one of my books, and refer to on many occasions.

I think you might appreciate the message.

    It’s called… “Don’t Quit”

When things go wrong as they sometimes will
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest, if you must, but Don’t You Quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
It’s when things seem worst that You Must NOT Quit!

Stick in there, best wishes and Good Luck!

    Jean

    • Folks

Jean can be a little too humble at times. I have been using Jean for copy writing and she wrote a script for a video for us that has been the best converting video of all time here at GVO…

I think Jeans prices just went up 🙂

      Joel

  • Hi Joel,

First of all I really like GVO and the products and services you have to offer. As for anyone feeling overwhelmed, ask yourself this question. Do you really like working for someone else and not having
job security? Don´t give up before the miracle happens! .
Persistence is the difference between success and failure.

  • I first started marketing using Kiosk hosting back in 2003. At that time I was getting leads thru an FFA site that provided fresh leads on a daily basis. I was having good luck marketing several Clickbank Affiliate products, sometimes making as much as $500/week. I am still interested in marketing but the competition is so much more intense today that it is frustrating. I know that everyone is talking about marketing to social websites but this is very limited and who wants their friends constantly trying to sell them something, to me that is not what social websites are designed for. My question is, other than pay per click advertising and social sites, what other methods are available and are effective in marketing products such as the one that Mike Filsaime is selling now. I would be interested in purchasing his product but I really have no effective way of marketing his products. Do you have any suggestions or methods that would allow me to get fresh leads and a non-spam way of sending out sales emails??

    thanks,
    Steve

  • I’m a mother of five and a pastor’s wife. I started online marketing in hopes to make a difference in our lives, plus it was something I have always wanted to learn after I had gotten done homeschooling my kids. Circumstances had forced me into my idea a little sooner. In 2003, we moved to a new city to go into full time ministry. My husband left his 24 year management career to work in the ministry. Left our benefits behind and prayed for the best. Shortly after that the housing market fell drastically. Sadly, our home area was one of the worst areas in the country because it wasn’t only the housing market, but the two previous years before the Florida panhandle has rode through hurricane Ivan and Dennis. So there were other reasons why my hometown market was going flat. Needless to say, after trying for 21/2 years; we lost our home. Which didn’t help our situation of getting settled in a new area. All while this was going on, the economy was not getting any better. So the little salary we had was dropping because everyone is struggling. After 14 months of cut in pay from 30% to 50% each month, that’s when I started looking toward the internet. This was in the fall of 2009. I have been steady at it tying to learn how to make an income online. I have made couple of paychecks but nothing steady by any stretch of imagination. It is now coming into the fall of 2012, (couple of years later) and now we are looking at Tropical Storm/baby hurricane Issac in the Gulf of Mexico. This past Saturday, I was talking with my sister from the west side of the panhandle, (I’m on the east side now), checking up news, and wishing her trip to see me for the Labor Day weekend was not going to be postponed. She did notify me that after 6 years, somebody is just now living in my old house. Times are hard for a lot of folks, my heart goes out. I appreciate the encouragement. I have made a few mistakes while trying to learn how to market online. Some that have set me back to the point I feel like I am literally starting all over again. But your right, GVO Guys! Each time I wanted to quit, (and I didn’t), I would learn that next step to help me get closer to the place where one day I will be. I know this is biblical, but it does apply to just about anything: “Where there is no vision, the people perish”. I hope my struggles can encourage someone not to quit. The storm ended up moving more westward than what they originally thought, but my heart has been in prayer for the folks who have to hang tough in the wind and rain. Thank you for the mentor classes, they have helped me immensely. God Bless.

    • Susan

Thank you so much for sharing your story. Keep at it and you will see success. But re evaluate what you are doing on a weekly basis. Remember, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, yet expecting different results.

Analyze what got those few paychecks and duplicate it. If per chance they were sort of out of “luck” then learn to come way out of your comfort zone… WAAAAAAAY out and you will again grow into a new level of income

  • Just been to my favourite site. Suckers wanted dot con. (pun intended) So I sign up and am sent a one time offer. Which is well above what the Missus will notice has gone missing. Then I am sent an unrepeatable offer on the Too Good to be True but You Don’t Know It site and am bombarded with fifteen emails a day from who knows whom, but I am persuaded to go to the Bejazzel me with Jargon site. Then deciding it is a little too complicated get attracted by another How Easy It Is For Me to Make Money but Can’t Say the Same For You site.

Now my email is full of 133 letters a day and as for actually doing anything constructive not a single stroke.

    I am a perpetual newbie

    Perpetual Newbies
We do not identify our needs mainly because we have no plan nor strategy

So we waste money on things we don’t need, and time on things of little value

Unfortunately it is probably not curable because perpetual newbies are lazy and greedy just the fodder needed for Suckers Wanted Dot Con.

However, as this post is about people who intend to succeed. Half of it is about pacing. The Guru should have the plan and the strategy which he is introducing stage by stage to the newbie. Most Gurus love preaching, but so few have a report I have completed this stage – please may I have instructions for the next. Or if they do each stage cost an exponential rate of dollars to begin. Or the general assumption is that because they were emailed the first set of instructions on Wednesday morning they should be ready for the second set on Wednesday afternoon, but not everyone moves at the same pace and from what I hear most people have to find out the hard way that their pet theories don’t work.

You wouldn’t go into a supermarket and start filling up your trolley cart with anything that took your fancy, but that is the sort of thing we tend to do online – Why?

As for buying something or downloading it and never using it – well that happens online and off line. Or worse finding what you have downloaded is unusable because there a so few specifics to get a grip with or what there are are just a series of broken links.

I said that half of it is pacing, the other half is identifying your place in the market. Or to put it another way: Do you know what it is that you are being taught to do? It is not always the Newbies fault. Sometimes it is not made that clear. If you do not identify your place in the market, then how are you going to identify your costs and what return to expect on your investment. No you are going to fall for anything Bejazzel me with Jargon site is going to throw at you.

    • Alex, You must have been watching me over the years — year by year! I started out with Hot Conference and Kiosk.ws before it became GVO. Problems began when I did not focus and began to surf through the universe of my email enticements as you mention and subscribed to everything that came along! Soon I had to “separate” the madness by letting that crazy Hotmail account go and opening Gmail. Then, I opened separate Gmail accounts — now I have so many Gmail accounts that I’ve forgotten that I even opened some of them! Haven’t seen them in years!

I enjoyed my GVO wordpress blog sites – (too many of them) and tried my hand at setting up autoresponders and found that I was getting no where except broke. I left GVO “temporarily” nearly a year ago.

Well, let me tell all of you. I’m not back yet, but I’m planning a comeback soon. I’ve been all over the net seeking a basic support system which gives me a foundation for my businesses. It ain’t there!

Joel and some of his staff members that I formed a close relationship with are the only support system that delivers what’s needed for me personally and for my business.

I have a list of over 6,000 LinkedIn connections but they cut me off months ago because people complained that they “did not know” me. I can download lists of names but their policy restricts that they can only be used on LinkedIn. I felt like it would be criminal to take those great lists of people willing to be your connection but the owner of the company saying “No” you can’t mail to anyone you don’t know! Joel would NEVER do such a thing.

There was a lot to learn and a lot of getting burned. The most joy however, was building my newest website using a Wix.com website template. I haven’t been at GVO for a while but I hope we have something comparable or even better than Wix.com or Weebly.com.

I highly respect and recommend that you stick with GVO and GVO Conference Rooms as well. I am much more focused now and am graduating from the School of very Hard Knocks! Go GVO!

  • Спасибо, Joel! Как говорит другая китайская пословица:”Путь в тысячу ли начинается с одного шага”. Спасибо, ребята!

  • I’m African and my story was pretty peculiar. I did all door to door marketing, spent 14-16 a day online learning and learning and not making a dime. My girlfriend(now wife) also gave me an ultimatum lol. We fought alot but I couldn’t stop. Nobody in Ireland or online wanted to listen to an African, Nigerian to be precise. Rejections after rejections until a stranger told me he wasn’t interested in my scam even before hearing what I had to say. I cunningly befriended him and found out why I wasn’t making any sales. Then I changed my strategy and started seeing results gradually. Then I started posting payment proofs, then I started making reasonable sales haha. Thanks guys.

  • Hi Joel,

Your video was very compelling and truly I saw you both were speaking from the heart, and I really love that because no one ever sees the “real” emotion of the “gurus” and “big income earners” on the internet.

My story is similar to yours were just 3 weeks ago i knew in my mind I had to do something different in my life if I wanted to save my mind, heart and body.

You see I am a nurse working in the field for almost 10 years now. I am almost 50 and cannot do that heavy work load anymore. It became too much for me.

So I turned to the internet (like millions of other people) to see if I could make a living on line. But being a newbie (and I mean a true newbie – not knowing how to cut and paste etc.) I am like many out there, falling into the opt-ins and now I am an affiliate with 5 different companies! I have borrowed and maxed out my CC’s in the hopes to start generating some money so I can learn the ropes about network marketing.

I am committed to work through this because I believe it will happen eventually. Like any business it takes hard work and persistence to make the business work. That much I understand.

I am still very confused with the terminology and technical stuff. And the training videos with all my affiliate companies are still quite mind boggling and frankly I have information overload. I have a difficult time focusing on one task because that task always takes me somewhere else that apparently I need to know.

I have a ton of opt-ins, follow ups, and visitors in all my affiliate companies but not one referral! This is very discouraging to me. And I don’t know where to turn to get the help I need.

I hoping your training will help me with all of this.

    Thank you
    Clara

So I end up sending so much time reading and listening to videos that I don’t get my task accomplished. It’s so frustrating!!

    • Clara

Stay in constant contact with those leads please, don’t sell them but offer help, much like we did on this blog. Get focused for sure. I oftern stop reading emails for days at a time to stay focused on my tasks at hand

  • I know about the negative people around you I have that every day so thank you for the heads up on your story there is still hope for me

  • Hi Joel
I visited your blog today and I want to thank you for the impressive job done. It has been a great inspiration to me.

I’m a 52 year old newbie with no knowledge of website design but with a passion for internet marketing as a way of life. It’s my dream to make internet marketing an absolute source of income.
My contact with GVO was through Stone Evans, the Home Biz Guy, whose email articles I subscribed to.
I have immense admiration for him. I’ve been receiving mails from both of you for sometime now. Somehow I considered all the messages as auto responses. My visit to your blog today has completely erased that perception. The blog posts I read are all real time conversations.

My question is, as a resident of Ghana, am I welcome to join GVO Academy? I’ve signed up with GVO but haven’t paid up because I’m not certain of how I’ll get paid for commissions earned if any.

I’m eager to hear your response.

    • We can pay you commissions through alertpay, or our own payoneer card. Once a member you will have access to all of the academy in the members area. We would love to have you Evans, welcome from Ghana 🙂

  • I know the feeling of not being able to give my family all that tey deserve. I was a truckdrive for 35 years and I never really got to know my kids. Now I have great grandkids and I want to be able to go see them. I wasn’t as bad as you when it came to computers. All I can do is being able to turn them on and off and send e-mail. When it comes to setting up websites I don’t have the foggies idea what I’m doing. I can’t even copy and paste. This video makes me want to be able to give my family the better things in life. Thanks for shareing I felt that I was the only one that didn’t know anything.

    • Hey Rick

Worry not we have the most amazing site builder coming out shortly 🙂 You will enjoy those grandkids more … stick with us

  • Thank you for the encouraging message. I have more hope now for success with my internet business, thanks to your sharing your personal beginnings and struggles.

    God bless you.

  • I too just started last week and I am very frustrated. I am going through the training but I am so lost. Everything I keep reading keeps asking for money. When I signed up for this I was expecting it to be hard but this is way over the top for me. The part I do understand is everytime I turn around I am being asked for more money. I am a single mom that thought supplementing my income was a good idea until I could understand how to grow my business. With everything being hard to understand and wanting more money I just don’t know what to do. I am just frustrated even though I think about it all day at current job, thinking how if I could do this I might be successful. Money money money, I just don’t have it to keep giving.

  • Hi, Joel and Mike I have joined GVO three times and never could make any money.I am even ranked on the first page of Google for MeetCheapreview.org and still nothing. I think I need a mentor but it just cost to much money for a mentor. I wish I could get all my money back from what I spent trying to make this IM thing work.

    • Billy

What key words did you get first page ranking? Congrats on that, how many unique visitors a day were you getting and what was your lead capture strategy?

      • Hi, Joel

I’m getting 200-300 visitor a day according to AWstat in my Hostgator control panel. I made a mistake by not having a lead capture page on my website. The last time that I joined my user was boogie40 but I canceled, although the website was still on the first page of Google. • Now we offer the hosting included.. so I have to ask, you could get your conf room and hosting and autoresponder from us for the price of your hosting at gator. So why not cancel gator and come with us and get EVERYTHING for the same price as gator?

  • I been receiving many emails from GVO,sometimes,I read, sometimes I dont.I have a reason why,I just feel,I been wasting my time, money, effort…same as you,I been buying a lots of stuffs before and encountered many promises of such “Internet GURU” that I just dont know who are the real persons & telling the thruth, because at the end,If I’m already inside of them,I found out it hooked up to me and my money and time without having such success.I actually, like your story and Mike,it was me the first time,I learn on the internet & still learning,I earned and lost money on the net,I should say,I am not yet satisfied,I am still looking something,a right company, people to work with or maybe on the right time.I have a longer patient on the net,I knew there is really something “HUGE waiting for me.I hope I found it thru you.Let me see,how I can start.Goodluck to both of you and your entire businesses!

    • Celccan

I hope we are for you, we are an honest company with great products. Only you will know if you will be successful and I believe in you. Just believe in yourself and commit and it will happen.. stay on the education and don’t chase shiny objects 🙂

  • Great stuff guys!

Inspirational message to new folks on the rise. Just remember that no matter what it is you will start in life learning is the mechanism to which proficiency will thrive, but persistence is the engine that will push it forward. Guidance comes in the strangest little corners whether two friends from Canada or some old surf bum in Florida. Be wise enough to recognize opportunity when it knocks, because it does indeed come disguised as hard work and persistent activity. Quick and easy shiny objects will generally leave you broke and frustrated, whereas nose to the grindstone, focused attention and persistent activity will eventually generate you generous rewards.

I am closing in on the launch date for my membership site at (last minute maintenance – link survival – etc)

    http://members.IMWordpress.com
    “Learn, Teach, Share”

I will be using my conference room for the newbie training sessions.

As a GVO member and student I highly recommend these services and the Academy that offers so many great people offering their time and knowledge to help YOU succeed! … As I end each caption in the membership site … it does you no good to sit here, download stuff and not implement it … now get busy changing the lives of other people, and maybe even your own!

I leave you with this thought, a verse I have framed above my computer and desk for nearly three decades now:

    PERSISTENCE …

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence!
TALENT WILL NOT: Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
GENIUS WILL NOT: Unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
EDUCATION WILL NOT: The world is full of educated derelicts.

PERSISTENCE and determination alone are omnipotent.

  • I am overwhlemed right now trying to learn and analyze all the avenue, which can be taken to build success. I have derived at many causes of frustration and drawback to other people dilemma’s including mine to make profits on the internet. This is not the first internet business I tried; however, the first one did fail. I am glad to announce “I will build it and they will come” to the new Website, Ecourse, and Mentoring Academy and other marketing tools I find that work . I have just finish one mentoring Academy although it was not yours I learned much and looking forward to learning more. Thanks for the opportunity to post this insert.

  • Hey guys. I just started this venture 2 days ago and I really want to make it work! I’m so confused though as to how I can make money with it. There’s so much information. I’m feeling overwhelmed and I just got an email saying my site as been installed, but I don’t know how to make changes to it! I know what I want my website to be about, but where does the money come from?? I’m so confused and I keep telling myself to stick with it, but I’m sooooo lost. Please HELP!!

  • Hi Joel and Mike,

Even though I have been around since Kiosk days, this is the first time I have heard that total story. It is so uplifting to hear how people you admire got started. Mike’s story is closer to mine except I had major heart surgery and became disabled from the work I did. Things have been slow with no money to invest but in the last year things are getting better and better. Thanks for GVO and the academy. I can testify that everyone should keep trying and trying. I wish you and all GVO members the best. Thanks again.

    • Hi Terry

Sounds like you are physically on the mend. That is nice to hear, and don’t give up thanks for being an amazing client over the years

  • When I registered of course I expect this is the only cost, but when ever another page is click showed you another charge is being ask, that’s the time I become pissed off. Why don’t you tell the really story, if we can afford it we will enroll. Because most of the time our finances are being thrown away out of balance. Should first explained completely what we will expect by registering. Like the different charges we will incur in the program completion.

    • Hi Piorell

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about, do we have upgrades sure, do you need them.. well that is for you to decide. However a good bulk of our members pay $9.97 per month and that is it

  • this is hands down the most real and truthful video I’ve ever seen in IM Bravo!

  • Hey Guys.
Talk about timely, I was so close to giving up (and still wonder if I can do this) when I looked at my stats in my GVO back office the other day and saw that I had made $4.98. That is the first money ever that I have made online in almost two years of trying. So I think I will plug along. Thanks for sharing.

  • Amazing video and heart felt stories. I’ve been doing what I call dabbling in Internet marketing since 2006. The reason I said dabbling is because, the fear of failure and the fear of the unknown keep me from fully commuting myself to my online business. I am a person that tried program after program, but didn’t really give any program or system the opportunity to work for me before moving on to the next big thing.

To make a long story short, what I can say is that I didn’t quit. I thought about quitting 1000’s of times, but I am still online realizing my dream. In recent months I finally committed myself to a marketing system and program that’s working for me. I am finally seeing money coming in, not a lot of money at this point, but I now know that this online marketing thing does work. It is working for me and now I have the courage to let others know about it.

I encourage everyone out there with a dream to start their own business to follow that dream with all their might and never give up. Education and commitment is all it takes to make this business work for you. If I can do it, I know that you can do it to.

    Sandy

  • Awesome stories. I first got into this in 2006 and spent a lot of money on MLM programs. I had a pretty good list that just sort of happened as a result of one of the programs I was in. I didn’t know what to do with that list though. I didn’t even realize it was “my list”. Anyway I never made any money so I quit within the year. About a year and a half ago I decided to try again and have made a few dollars here and there but I’m still a newbie in my eyes. I have no direction and all the different options are just too much to deal with. I think mentorship is the only way to go because even with all the “helpful programs” it seems harder now than in 2006. I am making a commitment to start the Academy today. Thanks guys.

There’s a lot of myself in Mike’s story. I don’t like confrontation and his reason for not telling his boss or his wife is me exactly.

    • Mike

I hate confrontation too, I do not do the firing in our office lol… I have always stayed away from negativity, I guess Mike and I are similar that way… we are both wimpy 🙂

  • Hi Joe & Mike:

Thanks for your story to inspire “newbie”!

I am Financial Adviser but I am “foreigner” newbie in IM !

I was very busy with those courses to learn something I don’t know as you mentioned, but it makes me headache & nervous! It is very hard for me to learn those things! I thought it is an adventure for me !

Thanks for your Blog & concerns !!

    Best regards
    Elain Lin

  • OK! thank you!

  • Hi guys,

I left a post on the 27th trying to encourage newbies like myself not to give up. I feel even stronger about that now!

Yesterday was my birthday, and I got the best present I could have imagined! 19 days after my first ad, I got my FIRST CONFIRMED SALE, and 3 more pending! I was overjoyed.

So newbies, it does happen, and it is well worth the effort and time that you put into it. Like I said the other day, DON’T GIVE UP!!!

    Have a great day guys,

    Dave

  • Joel: I’m really a newbie and have no understanding of what I’m doing, I have no mailing list but I made the commitment to myself to start the Academy today, and pray for and work toward success. I have quit many times but quitting this time is not an option. Money is low and time is short, I will succeed with you help and my drive.

    Thank you all

    Hassen

  • Is there any way to get around social media and still make it on line?
Putting it another way,is there an effective way to build a list without it?

  • Hi Joel, I have been getting emails from you for awhile, I think it was from PCbackup? I didn’t quite get the connection of GVO and PCbackup; Anyway, but read one of your emails today and listened to the video above; (liked the video by the way) I have the “same ole story”, that you have heard many times probably Have learned a lot about the internet over the last four years but still seemingly not enough to make any real money so far. Background is 12 years in real-state; lost EVERYTHING by 2008. Have spent the last four years attempting but not succeeding online. And at this point not even sure where to go or how to learn what I need to learn to make it happen. I have spent so much, over the last four years/most of my 401K, on this thing and that thing, this marketing tool, and that marketing tool, next greatest programs, … etc., and no returns. I am missing something or somethings about the process?? I am going to take a look at GVO and see what it’s about.
Maybe there is something there for me?
    Danny

  • Hey Joel and Mike,

You guys really made my day, i am at a stage where i am spending on solo, CPA and stuff and not seeing my ROI and it really makes me feel whether i am doing right by not focusing on traditional thing called JOB. But after ur video i do feel its definitely a learning curve and success is inevitable, today or tomorrow i will make it to the top.

Cheers and thanks for such an awesome video.
    Deep

  • Great post. I’m not sure if I am doing this right or not so here is what I have to say. I have done two 30 days training videos and get stuck at day 13 to 15 because I don’t understand what I’m to do with the lack of funds. I have been trying to get something going since January and have two websites but don’t know how to get started. I don’t want to send emails to my friends and family till I have some success. I’m trying to get on facebook but am a little uncomfortable with that but will continue to move forward with it.

  • Hi,

This is a really refreshing video. My name is Sheila, and I m a 21 year old who tends to jump onto an idea if I see potential. I quit my job, of only 2 years, at Super Target Bakery on July 31, because I want to move to Texas. I could transfer jobs easily, as I have a spotless reputation, but I am mentally exhausted and would rather work for myself. I have been trying, since then, to be successful enough to provide my family with enough encouragement to work for themselves. I have yet to let anyone in my family know that I am doing this. I actually purchased my laptop from a loan, in hopes that I could possibly meet an opportunity like never before.
I am a natural born laborer, and I am willing to work hard for success. The thing about this is, I have yet to find my niche.
I am vegetarian who loves to share random facts, enjoys exercising, natural ways of healing/holistic methods, nutrition, natural products, and I love to share uncommon success stories. You know the kinds where college dropouts achieve success by being proactive and planning?
I digress. What can I do with my passions?
What niches/sub-niches do you see potential in when it comes to my interests?
Just a quick note, I love public speaking so videos would be an option for my site.
The name of my site is She-reviews.com; I just purchased this domain. Now let’s see what I do with it.

    • Hi Sheila

I went to your site but it is not coming up. Ok first be sure to have a backup plan, you need a source of income while you build your business up as 4k a month in your first month is not likely, IO have seen it happen but those are
      extra ordinary results.

If you love public speaking and you love video then you are ahead of 99.99% of everyone. As example when I started selling web hosting, I did it the hard way door to door, I would go see 40 people a day, get like 35 no but 5 saying yes.

I was charging the year up front at $20 a month so $240 a year and 5 people saying yes was a very profitable day for me…

      BUT..

Again no one likes to hear the truth of what I did because most will NOT do what I did. There are better ways, but embrace the fact that you like talking to people and YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL. I started when I was 26 so you have a head start on me 🙂

With regards to your passions go to google adnt type in google keyword research, that tool will let you know how much you can make in your niche and how to advertise for those key words

  • I have spent so much money on different systems, of which many may or may not have worked, but once I got frustrated and had no real support to talk to, I would just give up and try something else. I am at the end of the line so I will say that you guys are my last hope for some kind of success. Good news is starting Monday, I should be able to devote a minimum of at least six hours a day on this project so you will be hearing from me alot I am sure. YOu seem like genuine, honest individuals so lets get this show on the road.

  • I’ve been working hard on my website for a few months now but the website doesn’t not stay staple. I go there and my categories are gone and this has happened twice now. I haven’t even gotten to the point to market it yet and I know that’s the hard part. Ev

  • Hello everyone! I have been reading the testimonials and words of encouragement from the past few days and I have to say….This is amazing that with even the few complaints GVO is getting currently most of the same complaintants also have 2 good things to say about your company!

This is un-heard of, well…”never read” lol. I’m 30 years old and had a thriving general contracting company with 2 full-time emloyees and constantly looking for new opportunities to expand my business. Well, back in July of 2010 me and my fiance were house sitting for friends that own and operate an organic vegetable, egg and meat farm and it was sunday morning at 7 am. I was feeding the organic meat chickens when I had a grand-maul seizure lasting over 15 minutes. Needless to say it was very traumatic for my girl at the time. But the laws up here in the great white north goes as follows: if u have an un explainable seizure but only one you cant drive untill 6months has passed seizure free. Well that put me into november by the time i could drive or go on my own work sites. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that cripple everything i worked so hard to build but the straw that broke the camel’s back was during the seizure i separated 3 ribs tore the tendon right off the muscle in my right shoulder and herniated the L3 vertabre in my lower back!

My company was finished, over, dead in the water and i had to give the bad news to my 2 employees and their families and my fiance the day the neurosurgeon said surgery was too risky given the location of the calcium build up in relation to the nerve which ever since the seizure was giving me sciatic burning tingeling itching fltoating pain 24/7 down my left leg.

I had some savings saved up but my girl burned through that like no tomorrow, and well maybe thats what she was thinking because shortly after the money ran out, so did she.
So i started to look for work and after about 6 months day in and day out grinding i landed a descent job fabricating main power breakers, power supplies, motor starters ie forward reversers for a local company. I started at the bottum in a feild that was not my expertise at all. Within 6 months i was making just enough when,

BAM i get a call from a one night stand i had 6-7 years ago saying i have a 6 year old daughter!! I go onto spend every extra dime traveling 350km about 200miles one way every 2 weeks to get to know my daughter. Wouldn’t you know it just as things are looking up, BAM another seizure and i lose my job cause i live 15 miles away and can’t drive again, or operate the forklift and or any other fabricating equipment we had. This time it will be 6 months seizure free but controlled on some freaking medication i cant afford before i can drive or work again.

Well the mother of my 6 year old daughter didn’t believe i had a seizure and has banned me from all contact with her and un-friended me on FB so i cant even look at updated pictures.

SO here I am 30 years old living in my mother’s basement 4 weeks of E.I. left and another 6 more months to go on this medication i just started today 2 1/2 months after the second seizure.

I have no more options left, i live in a town of 1500 at best and if i cant start making some income online i certainly can’t do it outside of the net around this area.

I’m no expert but im not stupid or gullable and out of all the quick money making “scams” out there these guys seem to be part of a few select companies out there that seem genuine. All the forums and blogs ive read in the past few weeks this is seriousl;y the first one with hundreds of posts from a 3 day time line with one, count it …! complaint! HOLY *&%%(*&*(&(&*%&^%&^$$&^&^(*&)(*&*(^&%*&)(**(&^*(*&( I still can’t belive it and if this is a scam i swear to god i will find u 2 and hunt u down and destroy all u have built on the blood, sweat and tears of these hard working people.

So sorry for the damn auto-bigraphy there but just show me how i can make enough to survive and i will pass on the knowledge u pass to me…..for a small fee of course…. DON”T MAKE ME COME FIND YOU GUYS!

PS i just had cancerouse growth removed from my colon, found that last week. If i can staY POSITIVE, JUST READ MY TALES OF WOE BEFORE YOU START THE POOR ME DIALOGUE TO YOUR WIFE, HUSBAND, SIGNIFICANT OTHER OR EVEN UR FRIENDS, UNLESS U HAVE LIVED EVEN A DAY IN MY SHOES! LIFE AIN’T THAT BAD NO MATEER HOW BAD YOU THINK YOU GOT IT!

  • Great stuff guys, keep up the good work

  • Hi everyone

I am very inspired by your post today, I do have the fear of the unknown, because I hardly every see light at the end of the tunnel, I don’t know what to do, I think I have signed up with Mike, but just got off track and couldn’t get back in to the site, I want to do this because my future is lacking the freedom for me to be me and not worry about anything, I am 65yrs old and single, but that has nothing to do with it, I just want to do what I have always wanted to do is work from home, I worked for 25yrs at one place and finally retired and being tired of being stressed out, cry everyday when I get home, I had it, so here I am pouring out my short story, so what every I learn, I want to say that those of you that are just starting don’t quit or even think about, because you and I both know that our success is just around the corner. Good Luck to all of the newbies out there.

  • hey m totally fine wit it evrything ..i live in india so if there anything which i can provide and do for u and which can help in making money hope this network walks in alot and v make our best

  • Hello I am a newbie, it is awesome to be in an atmosphere, that is so positive and encouraging. I really appreciate your video and I am looking to be very successful I just need the tools so that I may get started with everything!! I am super excited to be 23 years old and just married and starting something that I KNOW will change our lives. I am very spiritual and I will always believe in this saying….Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!!” Thank you

  • Joel I like so many other people have tried and tried different things I have come across on line to make money, ALL have failed, (well maybe I failed) but I certainly didn’t make any money at them and was so confused as to how to navigate everythiing I just gave up. I received another email yesterday with the heading “If you can type you can make money on the internet” with the testimonial being a young single mother that made money by posting links for companies. It was listed as follows:
Amanda Burns’ ‘eOnline Marketing System’ course.
Soooo I thought well maybe I’ll give it one more try. That is somehow what lead me to you, after following all the steps, (or at least I think I have) from paying for the course to being sent information about creating a website and domain name and spending a couple of hundred dollars doing so and other things I am totally confused about, my question is this, are you affiliated with Amanda Burns and is your website the course she spoke of, secondly I have not seen anything about how to do postings of links in anything I have seen or read so far. Only how to start an online business with a website that I have no idea of what to put on it. HELP!!!!!

  • Wow! I just got excited again and rehired myself!
Listen, I live in such an impoverished area of the U.S.
that it seems to me that people are scared to death to try anything
    online.

Even the $10 a month to start up with HTP
seems to be a small fortune for the fearful!

It hasn’t been easy. But, nothing is!
So, I just keep going outside this area
Caretta, WV via the web and establish the
know, like and trust with people.

I came into GVO with all cards on the table
and I believe that ANY DAY NOW streams of people
will be jumping on board too!

Thanks Joel and Mike for all the help
and for giving ME the opportunity to help
other people see that anyone can make money
    if they stick and stay!

    Sincerely,
    The Rob Dawson

  • hey guys, i’m a bit confused, am i supposed to be selling something? cause like i have nothing to sell, i dont own a store and i dont have products of any kind to sell. and i just spent the last of my money on this program and the dns registration and webhosting so now i’m broke. so i’m a bit confused on how i’m supposed to be making money.

  • Hi Joel and Mike,
You guys are awesome. I so appreciate what you are doing for our team members. I can’t seem to get pass the autoresponder stuff. I’m not a techy at all. I am totally lost and don’t know what I’m doing. I feel like I need you to hold my hand. The training is great, however, I don’t even know if I can understand the training enough to move forward. I’m not even sure if I know what my website is. Can you please help a technical dummy. I am so desperate to get going with this so I can go all in. First though I need to generate some start up cash.

I can’t seem to keep things organized and I feel overwhelmed. I like your stories by the way. You both are very inspiring and I will not give up on this process.

    Thank you in advance.

    Carlton.

    • Carlton

If you can hold on for a few weeks we are making our autorespodner even more simple to use 🙂 After our last blog it was very obvious to me GVO needs to be way more simple and it will be!!

  • I think it’s high time that the internet community should be credible and honest in helping newbies with no technical skills in computer software nor hardware as what the internet marketers or software programmers showcase in their videos for their launched products/softwares or else the internet newbies will no longer trust the internet marketers/community. I think the values of credibility and honesty should be incorporated in internet marketing or else the internet community will no longer be a reliable and trustworthy community especially if it wants to be global.

  • I am new in internet business,as of now im frustrated enough to enter into it coz i dont have enough knowledge of how will i do it..Until now im still researching how i become a successful blogger but through your message I was enlightened to pursue my dreams.I hope you can help me more about Blogging..Thanks and God Bless both of you!

    • Glad to have you aboard Emilio. Yes blogging is powerful. Inregards to blogging and wordpress I would for sure have you check out the GVOacademy found in your members area. Here you will see Terry Anglin puts on a fantastic live blogging training classes. this might help you make an impact with your blog 😉

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

      Mike

  • Joel & Mike,

Thanks for your honesty, encouragement, support and leadership. Keep up the good work, my success is within grasp now with GVO. Have a Blessed Day!

  • Hi Guys I have been at this almost a year and had to find another job to support my Family (by the way one I love as I am helping people everyday) but I know that my real passion is an online business. I am going to make 53 yrs old The good Lord willing this mo. and I know I need a residual income for my future.I have looked high and low fell into the same trap as all newbies chasing all the shiney objects and the next great thing but being around awhile I have finally figured out the TRUTH and that is there is no magic button or software to make you rich overnight. This is why I am with GVO.Imagine during the gold rush years ago who do you think really made the most money the miners or the ones that sold ALL the miners their picks and shovels? That is what I love about GVO you are providing the tools we need to dig for our GOAL (EG)picks and shovels. So with a good mentor as you are and with the tools we need it is now up to us to do a gut check and forget about excuses figure out your why and put blinders on and go for it. Thanks a lot You have put that drive I thought I lost back in me. TO the MOON. Johnny B

  • Never give up–I have been at this for over a year and have felt every emotion you have described. I have learned a lot in the past year, however I needed a new doorway to walk through to get the mentoring and inspiration that I need to continue. I may have just found that door. I have never given up on anything I have ever wanted to do. I wanted to be an electrician. I started as an apprentice, then electricians helper, journeyman, foreman and finally master electrician all in 25 yrs. My point is always have the desire to learn new things, never ever give up. I know this business can work if you find the right doorway to walk through. This is more than I have shared in a long time.
    Thanks for that inspiration

  • Recién ingrese y ahora si estoy en rumbado, muchas gracias por sus consejos, espero seguir sus huellas.

    Necesito aprender.

Nos veremos en la cumbre con la ayuda del Senor.

  • I just wanted to say that I was one of the original members of GVO and I too made the MISTAKE of listening to the Nay Sayers and ended up quitting GVO. I then took the time to train myself and fully understand how to work with the internet/people and balance my time and I am PROUD to be part of GVO again. Joel and Mike are down to earth mentors who truly care and are committed to seeing everyone succeed.

Thanks for the Support and Integrity!!

    Jose

  • Thanks You two That was a well needed video post,…
Its scary out here in the woods alone,..
But You brought it home sharing your experiences, reassuring and confirming that we made a good business decision, heart felt, although Im broke, going to go upgrade
    Denis

    • Hi Denis never feel alone here man! I just added a new section
for scheduled training calls. Please make sure to check it out
in your PL members area and hope to see you on these calls!

      Thanks for the post!

      Mike

  • When the time came and I realized how frustrated I was with not getting anywhere with all the different online businesses out there pushing their own product I had to unsubscribe to many and get “laser focus”.

Now I have one Pure Leveraged opportunity to create unlimited income!

    Thanks guys

  • This was extremely helpful to me. I was beginning to think I wasn’t internet experienced to run with the BIG DOG’S. I will regroup and
do well. Bye the way do I have an upline sponsor/mentor?

  • Great video!  I’ve been struggling with the fear of failure too.  I’ve reached a point in my life that I can’t tolerate feeling like I’m never going to have the freedom to do what I want, when I want.  I’m excited to be a part of this opportunity (a ilttle green on getting it going)  I’m trying to stay focused and  believe that I have what it takes.  This video helped inspire me to see the vision and feel what it’s like to have the money to buy my kids a new car, or pay off my mortgage, or rescue a thoroughbred from the racetrack after it’s racing career is over.  So many things I want to do, but the 40 hour, horrible grind keeps me from enjoying life.  I know you were there too.  It can be done, and I’m going to make it happen!
