Great ideas on doing video. I can’t wait to start implementing some of those ideas!
Hi Joel and Mike:
Thank you guys for your inspiring message that just confirmed what I believe is so important to build a relationship with clients/people, then followed by the products/services and thirdly the opportunity.
Thanks for keeping us cheerful with your easy going conversation and fun in between.
Thank you Joel and Mike and Gino,
I do enjoy your blog videos
and the ongoing updates
of the data centre’s progress,
so really kool 🙂
Have a good week yourselves,
Cheers, Freda
People first – what a good mantra!
About making videos…
1) Can you show us how to use the Titanium back office to upload and embed videos?
2) How do you use the green screen to splice in a logo or another picture for special effect?
3) How do we splice in that picture of the smiling pig or our own faces onto our blog videos before they start?
4) Doing outdoor videos – what would be your advice on how to make really great ones?
5) Oh yes, uploading the videos to a website – is there a special software for that?
Guys.. your videos are great! Thanks so much for sharing the info to make professional looking videos. Also completely agree with your ‘people, product, opportunity’ order of business!
Some great questions have been posted and I won’t duplicate them. I would like to ask a related question: if we represent a brand that produces quality videos for us, and we also have outside videos to share.. are posting those on our blogs as effective as making our own videos?
I understand the purpose for creating one’s own content, but also see a need for using other content (at least for my business). Example is on my new kiosk hosted word press blog!
p.s. I tried to take advantage of the help you offered a couple of weeks ago for a new blog I am building but the links wouldn’t take me to the source?
Thanks again, and I am very excited to be associated with your company, and the expansion you are bringing to us.
Vicki
awesome guys!
congrats!
I send you my resume…
it is very distinct and unique compared to others I’m sure!
have an awesome night!
Great info today! Rekindled my interest in green screen videos. Went to search for the green paint blend on Google, as you suggested, but couldn’t find it. Spent a few hours looking at sites and videos on green screen and chroma key though, and downloaded a different video editing software to try out … will write that off to “education time” 😉
Do you have a specific site that gives the colour blend mix? Would really be appreciated. Gonna have a green wall in my home office! Tried the green cloth backdrop but it didn’t work very well. Have to boost my lighting a bit too.
Thanks also for the Bluetooth mic link.
Looks like you guys are in for a super rinse cycle as IKE heads your way. “Houston, we have a problem!”
Thanks again for being so ‘real’. You are right, the personal connection is extremely important.
Questions: 1) What about a ‘live’ video experience? By that I mean, looking over my shoulder and seeing what I am doing on screen. Or, just talking to someone via the ‘net’/hotconference. 2) What program to capture the computer screen?, 3) Is there a preferred microphone when working live?, 4) Is there a preferred camera for live vs. recording?. 5) Does VOIP make a difference as to what is needed? 6)Is a lavalier (sp?) mic appropriate for moving around?
Thanks,
Dan Lindsey
Thank you very informative, is there going to be an alternative for the budgetly challenged ie: videos like in the membership area?

Thankyou Mike & Joel
Just want to say the Data Center is looking good. I have been around DC’s and Communications Rooms and yours is looking great. I bet you will be glad when it is ready and completed. I am looking forward to your Grand Opening.
I always enjoy your videos.
I just made a great post, in my opinion, that I think was lost.
I got a blank page with the Please Answer the Question.
Fine, I now see the question, but upon backing up, I have lost my post…and so have you.
Thanks for you blogs. They are great and unprofessional or not I love the Fun Filled Fridays.
My question is I just received Hercules Classic Silver 1.3 MP,30fps webcam with microphone. I also have a Bluetooth adaptor and Skype head phones. What do you think of these items for making videos?
Leanne ….
There are many avi to Flash converters but I use a couple of different ones.
Moyea Flash Video MX Pro
http://www.video-to-flash.com
(see my website http://www.DoctorStaples.com for examples of end result)
and/or
Video Web Wizard at
http://www.videowebwizard.com
Both are excellent for video conversions to online Flash.
Jim
You guys are great!
And you’re right..it’s ALL good!
I never really know what day (or time) it is either – Isn’t that what automatic scheduler’s are for if you actually have to keep track of anything?
The Video tips Joel and Mike linked to are good choices. LISTEN TO THEM! I did the same thing when first experimenting with Video and Green Screens like they said and believe me, you’ll save money in the long run.
What they’ve suggested is great quality gear and still very reasonably priced all things considered. Not to make an intentional endorsement but, most Sony equipment is also stock with “Carl Zeiss” lenses which are some of the best optics in the industry too. The “Green” IS as easy as they suggested and lighting is everything!
Cheers again!
🙂
