I am a newbie in this Internet business and facing some challenges.I am Brazilian and learned English when I lived in London from 2002 to Dec 2005.I want to promote Pure Leverage as my primary business.I have not got a blog.I have not joined Empower because everything is in English and difficult to promote here(especially because the upsells bring you the real income and if you do not speak English ou will not take advantage of the trainings).But Pure Leverage provides the tools that everybody needs.I attend all the webinars and trainings and read everything you provide.But I really need to figure out how to make capture pages in Portuguese and to have your videos and particularly the one when somebody opts in with subtitles in Portuguese.Maybe when the blog comes out and I learn how to work with HTML I will be able to really use all the potencial tools there are here.
I like this business very much and I really want to see Pure Leverage doing very well in Brazil.

What a great insight, Joel. Among other things, I play pool competitively. And 100% dead on … I have always compared my present skill level (my “reality”) to my IDEAL — the Master Level and Pro Level players. So, I always felt like some bug that just learned how to pick up and hold a cue stick.

Thanks Joel! I agree with you. Being positive and be confident in ourselves and PL product is a way to go. A month ago, I did not know about PL product, a month later now, I know it is a great product to promote and I am getting leads. I say it is a great improvement!

Hi joel, this is an amazing concept that I have never seen before. I’ve listened to many motivational tapes and cds, but they all teach you to set a goal, and when you reach that goal, set a higher goal, which actually guarantees the gap you talked about. with your way of looking back, I don’t feel like I am not accomlishing anything. I have gotten a few leads, and after your last blog , I e-mailed each one with a personal e-mail, as you said. Even though no one has joined yet I now know I am on the right track, and all it will take is perseverance and patience, and knowing I am advancing from my past, and the day will come that my business will bloom and thrive. Thank you for being such a caringand accessible leader. May god always bless you.

Awesome! Don’t compare your reality with your ideal, but with your PAST! I needed that today Joel!
I have noticed a few “I’ve always set goals …” posts and I too have always been “goal driven” and “goal directed”.
It has just occurred to me though, setting goals is a good thing … IF … that doesn’t become (or remain after Joel’s insights on comparing reality to…) the IDEAL we already have issues with “never measuring up”.
OR when we do finally hit the goal, set a new one (right?) and again find we never get a sense of accomplishment.
Never losing sight of the past. Keep that in mind to keep balance and see the real progress as it relates to where you’ve come from.
I will personally set up “systems” or measuring sticks to remind myself.
