A local Hooters charity for Cancer research!

Hey everyone,

We decided to come back and do a “Fun Friday” blog. Last Saturday, the local Hooters restaurant called our office and asked if we could come down and help raise some money for breast cancer research. They were doing a “car wash” fund raiser and thought my Ferrari and Mikes BMW M6 would attract some attention to the event.

Viewer discretion advised, as well, the fundraiser was all in good fun.. but also it was done at Hooters restaurant.

We want to know if you feel this is pushing the limits to much. Let us know on our blog by posting below.

Have a tremendous weekend!!

  • Joel and Mikey,

First of all, Breast Cancer research is a cause very near and dear
to my heart, so anything done to support Breast Cancer is alright
by me! I also spent 30 years in the restaurant industry, so I have
many friends who work at Hooters. Their buffalo shrimp is Kick A$$!
These girls are just making a living.

Speaking of Hooters, I happen to have one or two, so they don’t
offend me at all! LOL Besides the fact that I ride a Harley. 😉

Mikey, your face about 4 minutes into the video is just priceless!
Offensive? Not at all in my opinion. I’m sure there will be those
who disagree, but you’ll have that no matter what you do.

Keep doing what you guys do, and thanks for the Friday laughs!

P.S. Thanks for giving us a new word to add to our vocabulary,
Joel. I’ll try to use “Hootery” in a sentence today. 🙂

  • “Viewer discretion is advised” LOL I had to drop by and have a look. 🙂

  • Great post – not racy at all guys – keep up the good work!

  • Hi Joel!

I was expecting to see hooters, but all I saw was halter bras (sad grin)!

Seriously, for a European this is the kind of video one shows to ones grandma to illustrate how sunny the weather was on vacation.

No worries, I really can’t see how anybody could object.

By the way, matey: since several months I’ve been quite happy with KIOSK/GVO, its service and its support! I’m never reluctant to show my displeasure, but when praise is due I won’t withold that either! Keep up the good work!

    Be well.

    Jaap Verduijn.

    • Thanks for the awesome feed back Jaap…

I’m glad to see the video passed your test.
GVO is a fantastic service as well and very

of you will get a kick out of.

      Thanks again,

  • I Now officially envy you guys.. LOL Just kidding. I am upset that you were all over all of my girls in Texas though.LOL Good thing I just got married or I might be more upset…I wish I was there I would have had them wash the Lincoln. Not to racy because the cameraman wasn’t oogling the girls, and just enough tattoos to keep you watching..LOL

I commend you all on helping out for a great cause also. If you want to do more our company is making great strides for cancer. We have a woman by the name of Sue that was on her death bed and now working on recovery with natural methods… Stay posted and aware..

  • What did you say Joel “Hooters is all about HOOTERS”…*LOL*
and when you said “if you’ve never been to Hooters, it’s a little bit HOOTERY” …i fell off my chair! *ROTFLMAO*

FYI My family and I love the food and sceneries in hooters…my wife,
my 7 y/o daughter and 3 y/o son, we all LOVE their chicken wings!

    • Hey Joel C…nice to see you post. Its funny you where
      just in our office, lol.

Yes the environment is great at Hooters/great energy 🙂

      Thanks bud,
      Mike

  • Great fun guys, sorry I missed it. It’s a bit of a drive from Dallas!

  • I don’t know what a Hooters restaurant is, so this does not quite make sense to me.

What would have made sense to me is if the young women would have been topless.

We all love boobs and to support a breast cancer charity is a definitely a good thing.

  • Just the thing for a Friday afternoon, it makes me want to go down to the beach! Just two days ago Jane and myself were involved in some charity busking here on Crete and it is really great to help people and we all get so much out of it.

Bring back the fun Friday blog, I love it.

    David

    • Awesome David,
Yes we plan on bringing back the Fun Friday blogs for sure.
Actually Joel and I could feed a live stream right from our
office and I’m sure you would have a hoot!

      Thanks for the post!

      Mike

  • Great way to start of the weekend. I think the video was just right!

    Have a Great Weekend!

    Scot

  • I have no problem with Hooters! Nice fun vid!

  • Good cause- no problem with the video- good musical background.

  • Joel and Mikey P. you both are a pair of stand up guys donating your time and beautiful autos for this event at Hooters last Saturday.
I love that new catch phrase by Joel “Hooterisms” too. Maybe next time you have your cars washed, get the Chippendales for the hard working ladies of GVO. Great to hear you are starting the Fun Friday’s again and keeping Jaimie busy. Looks like he had a great time behind the camera too.

Those Hooter Girls know to buff their stuff, as you are not supposed to use sponges to wash your car, but they did know to use the microfiber cloths to bring out those great reflections at the end. Plus some of those girls had more muscles in the perfect places than Joel does – lol
Wax on – Wax off! Perfect timing for the Karate Kid movie that opens today.

Thanks for giving us more exciting videos to keep us amused and motivated towards success.

    Ty TygerGoods

  • HOOT!!! HOOT!!
    Loved your video.
All work and no play makes Mikey a dull boy!

A big cheer for all you fellas do.

    • Hi Bev,
You need play at times and with it going to a great cause
was a no brainer for us. After hours of nightly hand offs
to our design team every week, it is sure nice to step
back and help people out. Joel and I had a great time
and look forward to many more events.

      Thanks for the post!

      Mike

  • Sweet! Thanks for the inspiration guys, look like you had a Hoot of a good time!!! Very good taste with the video.

  • I saw nothing wrong with the video, and may it have been a help for a great cause!

  • Mike – Joel,

Great cause to support. I sponsor “Relay for Life” in Michigan. Always nice to see you guys keep things real. Whether business or fun!

    Mike

  • Learned a new word today: “Hootery”
Who was the gal in the yellow top?! 🙂

Great cause guys…Mom passed away from Breast Cancer.
Doing well and having fun at it, way to go!

    • Yes Jeff it looks like Joels new word “hootery” is a hit. lol
The one in the yellow top is going to be new spokes person
      for GVO. lol
      Have an awesome day!

      Mike

  • Nice video, Not to racy or over the top, seen more over the top on primetime TV.

    Have a great weekend,

    Jean

  • I don’t see anything objectionable at all.

It was a good cause and hope it catches on and duplicated.

  • Less racy than expected…actually done in pretty good taste. Buy, hey guys! There’s only one thing that would make it a better video — seeing the two of you in your Speedos — or at least without shirts! Oh well, next time – OK?

Thanks for supporting a great cause.

  • Hi folks,
What a great fun clip, you have the right attitude towards a problem dear to my heart, and ladies, I can’t imagine the feeling when told about this, so be aware a lot of GOOD people are there for you in their own way.
Fun is a blessing and I look forward to many more clips!
    Dave

  • For a 72 year old male I thought your video to be very uplifting.
Not any worse than the bra ads you see on TV. Great cause and looks like everyone had fun. What more do you want?
Talk about capturing traffic..this is the most comments I’ve seen for your blogs. Good content creates good traffic,

    • Yes Don you will see on our past blogs when we ran with the Fun Friday
theme…we had posts coming in non stop! Time to get back to it.

      Thanks again,

      Mike

  • Nice Curves!!! I’m talking about Joel’s car of course!

  • Ah the IM lifestyle, another hard day at the office.

  • This good cause breast cancer your car see nice

  • Great job guys, and for a good cause too.

But, I thought everything’s supposed to be bigger in Texas… lol!

    Have a great weekend!

    Arun

  • Bragging! btw what does GVO stand for never heard of it?

    • Hi Tom,
GVO stands for “Global Virtual Opportunities”

also help brand yourself and help market your website.
We have placed everything all under one powerful hosting
      package.

Please let us know if you have any more questions!

      Thanks for the post,
      Mike

  • Hey guys

Awesome job (looks like that was a tough day LOL)

I personally want to thank you, not that I live near there, but that you are contributing to cancer research. If there were more folks like you back when I was going through the mess of cancer… things could’ve gotten a lot better quicker than they did.

    Good for you.

By the way… next time you go to an event like that, I’d be more than happy to hold the hose LOL

    Bob Yeager

  • WOW!

You went to a car wash!

What ahppened to ‘restaurant’ and ‘racey’?

  • The tension mounted as you guys just kept talking and the anticipated video seemed like it would never start. Fingers twitching I wanted to advance the video to the forewarned content. Hooters? Car wash! Texas style! Will it ever start? LOL, well done guys. Had to replay to see if there was a Ferrari in the video 🙂 Tasteful, good cause, kudos to all!

    Jim

  • Joel/Mike,

Hooterier????….sounds like butterier…but different. As for the potential controversial nature of this video, I dont think its anything more than any other day at the beach or high school car wash.

As for the business model of hooters as a whole, we have had some good debates on that in our house and hooters has also as showcased in a recent episode of “undercover boss” where they took to the street to understand perceptions and why their sales are in a slump.

Personally, I think the CEO of hooters on this episode who was undercover was WAY too soft with the way one of his store managers after he degraded his staff in ways I didnt think existed anymore. No woman should ever be treated like that! Unfortunately, when your business model objectifies women the way Hooters does as part of the very DNA of their business, I can understand how a work culture could exist to have this happen. Its unfortunate

Apart from all my opinions, I do think its great you supported this charity and helped raise some funds. Very cool! What do you think about doing some kind of all GVO type fund raiser in the future that we could all contribute too?

    Regards,
    Robb Novak
    http://www.spiderfishlabs.com

PS. Loving my new migration over to GVO. WHM is awesome!

    • Hey Robb its great that you are loving our services as
things are always being added and improving across
the board. Thanks for your support and yes we plan
on doing events on a bigger international level with
      all our GVO mebers!

      Thanks again,
      Mike

  • It was a little strange to watch guys watch girls bend over. I don’t know what you call racy, but I don’t think it was racy… and, I’m pretty PG myself. I hope everybody had more fun than just standing around.
    Nan

  • Joel and Mikey P!

I must admit I was somewhat reluctant to view your Hooter’s episode … having never been to one myself … but let me say I have seen a lot worse at my community pool or beach.

I think it is awesome that you contributed your time for such a great cause. This as with many other things just shows that GVO has a heart … for the community, for good causes and we already know it has a heart for its members!

    Thanks for all you do.

    • Great idea Rallie… like I have mentioned we
hope to do many more. Compititions are always
great to create hype and funds. Great charity events

I, too, was a bit skeptical when I read the email invite, but knowing you guys have fun, all in good taste, I was not surprised at the video. Not in the least offended, and proud to have a fellow Canadian “sacrificing” his time for a worthy cause.

  • I guess the only thing that matters is what Llona (spelling) thinks.

  • Racy? I think not – like a day at the beach!

My question would be: were the wives their to keep an eye on you guys?!

Thanks for your charity ‘help up’.

    • Hi Bob glad to see you liked the video. The wives were at home…hehe!
When Joel and I are together the trust is always there. We keep each
other on the right track and our wives know it too…I think!lol

      Have an awesome day!

  • It is great that you let us in a part of your life. It makes people want to go out and do some charity work of thir own.
You guys, what a price you have to pay to be pillars of the community! I weigh about 250-but I would show a little skin for breast cancer! lol!

  • Hey Guys,
Great to hear you were making a contribution to a great cause. About the video, I thought it was suitable for GP rating. Your lead in, makes it sound like you guys think that women with good figures, need to be ashamed of them.
Maybe, it’s where your thoughts go when you see a healthy young woman is what your apoligizing for???
The video might have been better if the you did a voice over about the charity. The guys would still get the eye candy, and the women watching would get to find out more about how much money the event raised, etc.
Just some things to think about.
Glad you guys had some fun with a good cause.

  • Great cause, great fun and who doesn’t like hooters. (the resturant) lol

  • Great video guys. Cars look great too!

    Thanks for all you do.

  • Hi Joel and Mike

You guys are terrific. Imagine giving up your time to get your beautiful cars washed by these beautiful girls and all for Cancer research.

Actually, it might just be a terrific idea to do something in all GVO associates areas – supporting charity and at the same time raising awareness of the GVO opportunity and services. Hmmmm – Just a thought.

    Great content for Friday.

    Many thanks

    Cecil

  • Hi Joel and Mike,

Great video! And a GREAT PR opportunity for GVO.

You might want to provide a FREE 14-day GVO Titanium subscription to all of the people who had their cars washed for Breast Cancer Awareness.

I’m sure there are a few GVO members who would love to follow-up with these people.

    Prosperous regards,

  • Very tastefully done.
    Great and worthy cause.
    Excellent fun Friday blog.
    You both get clean cars
    good deal!

  • Hey Guys! I didn’t have a problem with it. As a matter of fact, I think that is the only kind of video you should post from now on!! All Hooter car washes, all the time!

I recommend you don’t put that up for a vote!

Great job as always! Stay Hootery!

  • Super Fun. Keep Up the Great Work!

  • Hey Guys….I almost thought you would never get there! Glad to see you had some lovely ladies taking care of your rides!

I am sure you had a nice donation for the great job they did!

    Dave

  • Hey Joel and Mike,

I would like to commend you two for such an honorable intention BUT what most people do not know is that “they” don’t want to find a cure for Cancer. If you do the right research you will find that it’s all about the money….keeping people sick, on pharmaceutical drugs, surgeries keeping the pharmaceutical medical machine going. For example, several scientists have found that mammograms cause breast cancer. How about let’s do a fundraiser to raise awareness about Natural Health Care. Check out some of the articles I posted at http://www.hangingoutforthehealthofit.com

  • Hi Guys,

More, more, more…!!! Well, both of you had a great day that’s for sure.

It was all for fun and a great cause, so what’s wrong with it?

Answer: You hould have made an even bigger splash for even more publicity (and even more funds raised?).

Imagine going to the management of that Hooter’s and doing a bigger “Thing” in town (whatever that may be).

Hey, do more of these Friday videos OK? Love the fun.

  • Wonderful video for a wonderful cause. Nothing racy about it -good “clean” fun!

    Good job guys
    Ernie

  • Hey Joel and Mike,

Never been to a Hooters..must be a guy thing lol…Guys you are terrific, thanks for contributing your time for a great cause. I have a family member that’s battling with cancer, and this is from the heart…THANKS. I am honored to be apart of the GVO Family.

    Have a Blessed Day!

  • AWESOME!!!! I LOVE HOOTERS! This video was tastefully done, and for an Awesome cause!!! Maybe we can have a GVO and PenduraLife cruise to raise more funds for cancer!!!!

  • Hey you chubby guys should have been helping them…the excercise would do you all good! LOL

How much was raised? Hopefully the amount of the cost of your cars!

Not sure you will be taken seriously but your thought are in the right place. Cancer research great how about getting on the bandwagon to help victims of flash floods in Arkansas?

Lots of worthy causes…you all are doing well a lot of folks are struggling in this economy…keep trying and you will be taken seriously.

  • Hey Guys I think it was an awesome video. Keep them coming.

  • Thanks Joel $ Mike That Video Was Grate my wife would like it even,

Did Joel pump those bicepts before driving down there?

  • Man, you guys really got it made.

Keep up the awesome work at GVO!

    -Michael

  • NEXT TIME TELL US TO MAKE SURE AND CLICK “FULL SCREEN” PLEASE!

    You boys are awesome!

Our women need all our support when a cause like this comes up.
I lost my x-wife to a 2 1/2 year battle to cancer last year at age 57.
She fought it tooth and nail, but after it went into her pancreas
the second time she said she had enough and stopped all treatments.
She was a 98 pound trooper all the way through.

The gal in the yellow top & jean shorts, with pockets hanging out
    looked just like Karen.

So away guy’s, thanks and next time let us know when another
charity comes up, so we can donate to the cause as well.

  • Hey Guys! I’ve already had two strokes and this video shot my blood pressure through the roof again, I may not see 66 in a couple of weeks! Where were your cars? I didn’t see any tops down.(; Bring it on anyway!
Seriously, great video and Thanks for giving of your valuable time to help benefit cancer research. It was done in very good taste.

  • Fantastic video guys and great cause. Thanks I enjoyed it. Love the cars LOL

  • awsume video thanks for all you do,,,great fun!!

  • Very nice video…fun stuff.

  • Hi Joel and Mikey P,

    Thanks for Hooters video.

It was great to wake up on a Saturday morning,
have a cup of tea, check my emails, and
watch a charity video of such quality content.!

I think it is a very good idea to make compilation
videos of the best of “Have Fun Friday’s” etc.

I know you are both busy men, so if Jaime, could
create a few videos from “The Past” they could
be put up on the blog for when you are too busy
to create a new video post.

My personal favourite is “Addicted To Love”.

Do you have any “Outake” material?

Keep up the incredible things you are doing.

    Take care

    David Smales

  • Really cool marketing strategy. Exploiting the sexy GVO’s. Thanks, Joel for the inspiration.

  • It was a staggering marketing tool. Exploiting the sexy GVO’s. Keep them cleaning on every Friday.

  • I thought the video was fine. It was not to “Racy”. Nice to do for charity.

  • Hi Joel and Mikey P,

I wanted to send kudos to Josh Andrus and his show I call Friday Night HiLights aka New Member Orientation. His passion and excitement is evident as he was taking us to a new level last night. There were not many tyro’s in the conference room and he hit the accelerator pedal and took us through his GVO capsule in 2.5 minutes. Turned on our lights with his F A B ulous process of Feature, Advantate, Benefit. When he presented us with a sequence to obtain leads on the phone, he really overdelivered on building rapport. With his military background, he became a 4 star General in our eyes and with his final poll of the evening he pitched a perfect game.

We are honored to spend our Friday nights with Josh Andrus…it is better than being stuck in beach traffic – LOL

Thanks again Joel, Mikey P. Gerry Meyer, and Josh Andrus, with you guys learning the game within the game of GVO is F U N damental.

  • You guys did it again. It was for a great cause, just let us know next time so some of us could come and contribute.

How did you guys made this movie and posted on the blog?

  • Damn captcha… grrrr lost my in depth graditude post to you guys. I’m not going to try and post it all again in case I mis spell it again.

I never leave posted comments ANYWHERE. But I have got to PRAISE you on this one.

In short I want to say your company and it’s valued principles are Untouchable and God Bless to everybody involved there.

Your company offers such an EXCELLENT, UNBELIEVABLE, and UNTOUCHABLE offers of value on EVERYTHING you guys have. You are providing such a positive impact in the world. You offer ALL the tools needed to start an online business today, within the same company, and wrapped up into one package.

At the same time your making it possible for the everyday average Joe to be able to afford everything needed to start an online business today.

AS IF THAT ISN’T ENOUGH!! — To see you guys using your success to give back to your local community in such a positive manner. Well that’s just beyond EXTREMELY AWESOME PERIOD.

God Bless your entire staff and to everyone involved in and/or using your company! I wish and pray that everybody in your company and everybody using your company has success’s that go beyond their dreams.

The world needs more companies like yours. I just wish that my sites where compatible with your hosting. I Absolutely Loved You Guys and hated moving.

On another note how can you go wrong with beautiful cars, women, and supporting such a great cause? You Guys Rock. I believe that by continuing to provide your great services and then topping it off by turning around and giving back to your community supporting GREAT causes (such as this one) will only lead everybody to receiving even more success in return.

    Mikey Out…

P.S. The music for this video just helped rock it out even more.

  • Awesome!! Next time you have a cause for the cancer patients would like to participate by donating Vemma drink which has been found to be offering good support.

  • The cause is great – hooters did not help me.

  • Helping others is one of my main goals in life. Good video and you deserve the nice vehicles from your efforts and service you provide.

We all know someone who has either suffered or died from cancer.
