Great info guys. I try to use some of these systems, but unfortunately I haven’t had much success. I am not much for using telemarketing (Calling prospects by phone)to make sales. That is waaaaaay outside my comfort zone + I hate getting those type of calls myself so I avoid doing it to others. (treat others as you wish to be treated)

It is great that you are jumping into the online space but you need a backup plan. For example when I got started I lived off my wifes salary for a while untill
I really kicked things into high gear.
I am just being honest, I started for about $100 a month which is cheap to start a business. If you are working now perfect, keep the backup plan, but do NOT give up as I am sure glad I didn’t. Most importantly stay focused

All of the people you talk about (the leaderboard) are ‘pros’ online. I never hear about folks like me that don’t have an email list, don’t have years of experience in online marketing, can’t compete with any of these guys you talk about or you ;), so what do ‘we’ little folks do?
It’s one thing to say – look the top 20 internet marketers make 10’s of thousands again and this: 10’s of thousands of us little folks make thousands with taught system from GVO.
If I could be a mouse on Russell’s shoulder (or yours, ;-D ) than I absolutely would. Trust me – us little folks would love phenomenal income like they make too.

By taking away spillover you are going to be exactly like GDI which has more turnover(s) than McDonalds.
You show all the gurus that are using your system in your advertising and human nature being what it is, new recruits will always want to be as close to the top as possible. Therefore joining under the guru looking for crumbs falling from the table.
With your new unlimited width you will keep guys like Russell and all the ones you mentioned who are making all their money from new prospects and as long as they can recruit they don’t care who is paying. Even if it a different person every month.
You said it! 90% of your sales come from new recruits and yes you should appreciate us as we are paying but will NEVER get paid.
To the rest of us it is a service, NOT a business as the first level is all they are worried about and it doesn’t matter if we know EXACTLY as they did, we will never steal a prospect from the guru.
You will find that GDI TEAMS have a greater retention rate than their system that you are now basing on.
I personally think that GDI has a high turnover rate because as you mentioned in your reply here GVO actually provides a service that people really do use. I know this because
if and when we have a small issue on even one server, our phone starts to ring off the hook pretty quickly. GDI provides a blog site and a .ws domain, you can’t even host any other domain there
and you cant use mysql, php, mailing service etc.
Not to take anything away for GDI, they are a great company.
I said 90% of our sales come from the NON guru, clients who make 1 to 3 sales per month etc.
With regards to retention,.. and for the new person, that is EXACTLY what Mike and I have been working on for months now. It is called Pureleverage.com but that is all I can say for now 🙂
This will help the non guru trust me as we will be paying back 100% of product profits to them.

What I would offer is that GVO provides a fantastic product. GDI unfortunately is solely focused on selling the business. With GVO, I am comfortable approaching real estate agents, salon owners, and other small to medium business owners to sell them the HTP suite. If they need more, they can always upgrade. The two biggest things that I know they will value are the 24×7 support and the live training. GDI could have gone in that direction, but they are stuck in the cool aid model.
Hang in there. I don’t place much value in all the “systems”. It’s sales. Focus on the product and the benefits to your customers.

Great blog and good to get some clarifiation on the unlimited width now being permanent.
So we now have a Uni-Level comp plan and GVO is no longer a Matrix, I’m more than happy with that but when will you be updating all of the opportunity pages to reflect this please?
Currently they all show 4 x 10 matrix which is now clearly wrong.

I Love Gvo Hostthenprofit! I hesitated when you first launched gvo, and am kicking myself in the ass, should have jumped on board right away. I am currently hosting two sites with gvo and plan to implement two more blogs. Customer service has been fantastic. You will soon see me on the leader board with the systems I am implementing that focus around teaching people to build websites and blogs. Teaching people how to use all the services you offer is key.
