Things are just smoking here at GVO headquarters. EVERYTHING is going better than I even expected. As an example, on Saturday’s call we had 440 people representing at least 40 countries! Talk about an OVER NIGHT global sensation!!

Great blog, guys. Excited about this product. I have been experimenting with it and I am impressed. I’m wondering if there is a way to include animation on the powerpoint presentation mode. It appears that on slides that include animation, it only shows the completed slide.
Also, do you have plans to rewrite the PDF Users Manual. Really hard to follow.

Very fun so far. the second opt in was pretty “adolescdent” eager to see the reality star. how about some videos a little more “mature” to appeal to the older mlmers. lot of good promotion support and glad to get the time line of prelaunch to help me schedule campaigns. also glad to know this blog is the main communication hub for prelaunch. emails on webcasts would be nice also.

The feedback I have received is that free affiliates do not understand how to upgrade to become a paid affiliate.
Should we just have it where the new free affiliates get an email explaining how to upgrade?
Then some are just confused as to what this is all about.
And what do we say to those folks who thought about Hot Conference but went with GTW as they feel since they are backed by Citrix and created for corporate America not marketers, which means more development money and staff. Also almost all major marketers use GTW. So you try to use other technology, but your list is being trained by corporate America and bigger marketers so when you don’t use what they use… you look amateur..

I have many many top internet marketer friends who one, do not even know we exist yet. And two, the ones that do I have asked them please not to do any promotions as of yet. Thirdly, if our product is brand new, it will take time for them to get to know who we are.
Give me a week or so, wait until you see the testimonials we have from top internet marketers on the product. I am deliberately rolling this out very carefully and not all at once. With regards to free members, there is a big upgrade link in the members area and I have sent them many emails to upgrade…

You seems to be a lot of enthusiasm from people who’ve never heard of your products before and you do a great job in keeping us informed about what’s going on.
Must confess mlm/network marketing things don’t normally appeal to me, BUT your products are such great stand alone products, I’m really happy to promote them on that aspect alone.
Compensation plan is probably very easy to understand but it’s beyond me. All I need to know is it works! However, I do wish you’d decide whether it’s a 70% or an 80% payout Joel, because you seem to change your mind in every presentation I listen to.
Guess my best bet is just to say “it’s a lot!”

As far as what can be done in prelaunch, I think that you have all bases covered.
Fantastic new optin page and I’m really looking forward to seeing the one with the TV Star.
This is probably more for once you’ve launched, and whilst I doubt that you’ll need any extra publicity, you could always do something like link a selection of schools around the world together.

Still a challenge but we are working on it, the browser portion is hard because of the aspect of a browser in a browser and in some cases flash on flash… we need some time but we are working on it 😀

Joel, I´ve being HotConference client for a few years at HotConference (about 7) and this past days I had a terrible time with my companies, staff and prospects because in all our conference rooms 5 (flash and downloadable rooms) we had a POP-UP offering GVO.
Could you please just imagine all Members inviting their prospects and Staffs to our personal business and having then a POPUP offering another company (in this case yours, GVO)?
I will say, good luck with GVO, I hope it reaches the best quality and acceptance, … but Joel, I have to ask you too, to let us, other companies do our business and allow us to expose our product to our customers without having third-party advertising company as in this case, with GVO…
I know you are a super intelligent and enterprising man and you can understand that this damages the relationship we have with HotConference.
I leave it to your assessment, waiting for the decision you make is the correct, …for everyone.

Things are good, but what I would like to see is more details on price comparisons comparitive to other companies and what they provide with seats and options compared to us and what it will cost to upgrade to a higher seat limit… Also, on the live calls make for more time for personal questions.

Particularly, I believe in the strength of my country, Brazil. We are thousands of people working with online businesses, so any subsidy, as a practical and efficient support, would be very welcome.
In my view, in Brazil, people who work with network marketing, MLM, love to see numbers, that is, how much they can win. And in that sense, the more pages of explanatory gains, and the manner of how they will account for its members, would come at an important time.
It would be very interesting, if possible, provide some monitors that can do the translation of their presentations.
At most, I am one of those who proudly wear the shirt of the team that has embraced for itself, in which case the team is the GVO Conference.

I’d like to see a more comprehensive explanation of the room and it’s capabilities…a real walk-through of the various features and applications. Ultimately this video would be a recorded webinar using the GVO technology.
There remains a number of technical questions:
– How does the recording/replay work?
– Can the room be private labeled so that a corporate user isn’t advertising GVO so prominently?
– Are PowerPoint presentations stored online? Are all animations preserved?
– Etc.
The key here from my perspective is three-fold:
– Pricing
– Market size and demand – a legitimate product
– Product value – this is where we remain weak in the explanation.
Fantastic job on the pre-launch of GVOConference guys. Finally a company got it right and put their affiliates before profit motive.
It’s nice to have built a sizeable organization with GVO and then when the company launches a new product/division, and pre-existing referrals purchase it, it was like BAM! — instant increase in income.
Very nice. I haven’t gotten the chance to use the product much because I’ve been busy with development projects, but I agree with Scot’s idea of having maybe a branded eBook (or video area access) that educates potential users of the most effective techniques for using the conference rooms for educating, informing, and for SALES closing.
It would be pretty simple to make that branded where all the links within the info product are tied to the referring affiliate, right?
Awesome site, excellent price, and more than generous payout to affiliates. I just put a gold star at the top of you report cards Joel and Mike (and Jaime too, because the design and videos rock!).

I have one problem though..
I really wanted to promote this opportunity in two seperate languages beign English & Spanish, but it seems I can only do it in one or the other as when I try it in both, my autoresponders don’t know what language to use, mainy they will use the language that my profile is set at.
Now, I can’t send a message to an english speaking person if I have my messages written out in Spanish and vice versa…. see my problem?
There is only the one folow up system to the prospecting array of diferent languages.
My lead generation system is the same, all leads go on the same list, pointless sending a bulk mailing to people who all speak diferent languages.
Now, I don’t want to give up and miss out on one potential market nor do I want a duplicate account and pay double so to speak for the same opportunity.
I think this needs to be looked at and improved upon.
Other wise it’s all great!

People want to see:
->How does the gvo conf. work?
->How does the appearance look like?
->All the features of the product (WebCam Video, Document Share, Video Preseantion)
-> Like a GVO Conf. Test Video;
This kind of presentation of the product in a video, in the sign up website, I think would make a tremendous difference(in a positive way.)

It would be nice if you could have a short greeting when someone comes to your conference room instead of just the knock knock. That way if you are working on something else on computer you could quickly switch to the meeting room. Also is there a different sound made when another moderator enters your room so if you had a long list of participants in your room you would know when another moderator entered.

using camtasia and now even Firefox browser ables you to record.
Yes they can be saved and pulled and sent at a later date.
Right now we do have the knock knock in place. I will mention
an extra sound for moderators…
Now for leader blog they all run private blogs. We do not have a
leader blog hub great idea though!

Another thought again (I already wrote you about these, but I’m starting to really get excited about the possibilities here) – having a GVO Conference free instant messenger that can be downloaded either to a computer or a mobile phone and use it to say, “Meet me in the conference room in 5 min” – would be awesome. This would really bring in the conversions.
Plus, the idea to have a facility (paid subscription) where you can have a local no. in a certain country (like Skype allows), and where people can call that no (for them it’s a local call) and that is auto-forwarded to your conference room – man – we’re gonna lick Skype in its own den!
GVO Conference is gonna rock India – that is for sure! The feedback I’m getting is absolutely fantastic!!!

I like GVO Conference and have been using Hot Conference since 2004 when it came out. I look forward to the weekly blogs that you guys do to keep us informed. My only suggestion is to clean up you language and not have so many bleeps. I have family memebers who were listening to the Invite link and were offended at the language and punching the guy between the legs. It may be funny but it is not as professional as it could be. I am also sending the Invite link to the national headquarters of missionary sending agencies because GVO Conference will facilitate communication around the world and will save them money. I do not want to loose a sale because of the foul language used.

I’ve not been in MLM/recruiting world for many years, and never hit it “Big” when I tried other opps… The feedback I’ve gotten from my list (when I did the mass invite during sign-up) was that they didn’t understand/know what it was, or why I was contacting them exactly(???)
I’m a bit confused as to how to go about this whole process, and surely don’t want to risk pi**ing off my contact list.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
PS: I’m confused as to log-in name/info, as it seems to have changed, or there’s a gvo- prefix, so I registered using my real name, and I’m not sure who the system is contacting or addressing when I’m trying to log in… Does any of this make sense?

all’s good but with no forced matrix only top marketers will cash in. Small guys who pay for gvoc every month NEED a forced matrix to keep paying. If they don’t get referrals they will stop and everything might crumble. I repeat a forced matrix is vital.

I respectfully disagree and here is why. Our product is better and 10 x cheaper then the competition so wont the bottom of the matrix get filled with customers who just want a great product? Especially when the product only site comes out?
However, I am not one to argue, we may end up force matrix if most of our members are in favor for it. But regardless forced or not the stability is based on a great product not a compensation plan 😀

I’m postured to interface with professional organizations and don’t want to get burned with the MLM image with them. We have a huge market of professional organizations that would benefit from gvo-conference. It is the right time and the right product. As far as Joel’s question – what would help me promote GVOC I have a few ideas – but not the technical skills to impliment without some help.
1. I would like to have a copy of the GVO song so I could play it on a loop in my virtual office.
2. A few pages outlining the features and benefits of GVOC – like powerpoint added to that for 1-2 minutes would be great.
3. Finally somthing that demonstrates the main features for 2 minutes on the video – whiteboard, browsing, chat, polling, video duplex, sharing folder Powerpoint, and desktopsharing would be great. I am trying to do this myself but I am having a really hard time because my internet connection is very slowwwwww and according to my provider that is not going to change for months.
4.. and on a different subject. I would really like to see some promotional material that was a little less macho… I know it is all in fun and I totally get the comedic undertone and toungue in cheek comedy that I see in the blog. On the other hand I know of few women who would want to wear a black round neck t shirt (unflattering to the female form) or be caught dead going into hooters. And the Ferrari – is really for 20 year old males who would like to impress females. I am wondering why you are not trying to attract more women –young and old to the business. With the exception of Janet and Steph and Deb, it is pretty much a male enclave.. and that may be why the promotions are more about what men want… Do they really??? I may be speaking for myself, but I felt that the promotional material really did not go with the online presence I am trying to develop…

(Also, compared with MLMLeadSystemPro and some other places… GVO is miles ahead in involving women)

The Product is great (with some understandable rough edges) and the price makes the market potential huge!
I love the affiliate pass thru on conferences using the gvoexit link BUT that link is implemented as a new window, which is blocked as a PopUp by many browsers and security systems causing many guests to never see the signup/”money” page on exit. The easy fix is to make the exit link open in the same window as the (now exited) conference – why not – it might get 20% or so more conference guests to the optin page. The current implementation just throws away them away 🙁
On top of that, please quit posting the non-affiliate optin links on conferences – just tell them they will be redirected to the optin on exit, assuming we fix the redirect 🙂 We work hard to drag people in and this makes the path of least resistance to bypass and/or miss our links. If you feel that you must post non-affiliate encoded links, then those links should rotate through all paid affiliates. Put us first in your thought and we will continue to return the favor 🙂
I hate to sound like I am complaining – I am not really – there are just a few things I would like to see improved and obviously you don’t need to fix the parts that are already great so… Kudos on the great parts 🙂
From a user experience standpoint it is bit troubling/disturbing to have the text chat keep going on and off and worse be cleared during conferences – it is like you are forcing us to sit in the corner wearing a dunce cap and mittens. This is the social networking, multitasking age – we love networking – please do not forget that transparency is best and in spite of its imperfections, it’s better than the feeling of isolation or worse, censorship, that comes from being turned off. From this side of the tube, the Presenter’s Cam, the Text Chat and the Flags and Name display are our comfort zones. It is disturbing to have them needlessly (from our viewpoint) taken away.
I get it that tons of text can be distracting but it also builds the sense of connectedness and excitement – so when it bugs you, just don’t look 🙂 I also get it that you want to be able to post links and info that will be still for a while – that is what the white board and other display features are for. 🙂
On the user feel issue, when the YouTube video was playing last night, sometimes it would pop to full screen, even though the video itself was a small frame in the middle – the mostly blank screen with no visibility of our comfort zones really increased the feeling of isolation – hence all the incessant knocking trying to restore some feeling of connectedness (I did not knock (much) because there was too much chaos at that point). Also, I don’t know if it was operator error or a real bug but when Joel came back and there was something else in the middle and the YouTube was no longer visible, I could still hear the YouTube playing much louder than Joel – very distracting. Logging out and back in several times did not help until I finally logged out, closed the window, cleared cache and then started a completely new session – could have been coincidence with it being resolved on your end
Finally, the series of short 24 hour (but really much less because we do not learn of them until they are almost over – twice I had less than 2 hrs) bonus periods are potentially great but mostly lost due to the effectively short duration. They would be most valuable in influencing heavier hitters to jump in but not if they don’t have time to take advantage.
Other than these types of minor growing pains, I LOVE GVO Conference and fully expect it to be huge!

To be clear, we either need to make the setup fee permanent or remove it completely, I have hundreds awaiting a decision. I have no issues with it if it remains, but to explain that it will be removed just makes people say, “OK, I’ll just wait”.

This whole conference thing to me is pretty new. However, I will say that I was considering hosting a webinar with gotomeeting and saw that after the first month, the month to month price is $99…wow! what a price difference and if the quality is as good or better it should be hands down a killer deal. I do have one question–it lists only a conference room for 50 people–are there options if you from time to time needed a larger conference? Also, you can record your webinar, but is there any way to edit it? or is it in a format that it could be edited with other software? Finally, I know you guys are leading with the product, but just what is possible financially with this–the comp plan is a little vague or maybe I just can’t figure the math! Want to know what I think! The product is great the support has not been so. I posted a blog last week and got no responce and could not find my post later either, I went to live chat and they are not that familar with the GVOC stuff. I was told to submit a ticket thru support which I did and folled up with a second and still no help? I am tring to get this thing rolling but have problems with the demo link on my prospecting website url. It tells me that room suspended?? I sent an email to my contact list in Yahoo as I was instructed to and do not know if it worked properly or not. Can i get some advise here or a call maybe?

Hi, congratulations for all the development and changes. In my case i am a hotconference user from Spain, and for several years. My suggestion is related to utilities and features, i use the flash rooms, because i work on Mac and many people around me also do… i use the rooms for business and teaching and i was waiting for the new features (the same as for the pc room) like a treasure. But still i am needing a simple way for recording the sessions, and also, i would like to say we have some kind of problems with the show options, mp4 are uploaded but we can hear but not see the images, i tried several times and never got it in the end.
i do not know which can be the problem. Another thing is that we cannot safe the text in the chat. Perhaps some one has the same problem…

You asked for input? So here are mine. There is limited information on how to use the Marketing Tools. For one, Prospecting System. Are we able to send these out in emails or post them in Twitter/Facebook? Do they even work? Where are we to post them? Same thing with the RSVP.
What are the FFC rules if we were to use GVOC as a “LIVE” broadcasting tool for lets say, radio stations & playing music over the system. TV stations using GVOC for “LIVE” broadcasting remotely.
I see in out back office when we have a sign up, we don’t know what city or country they came from. That would help too.

I believe that it is an excellent concept and I have been playing around with it to check out its benefits. Just a question: Must those who take up a seat be members or can others be invited as guests as well? And if so…what url is appropriate for such a demo?

with an internet connection.They do not have to be a member.
Its your room and you can invite who you like with no cost to them.
In your room admin area simply copy the room link and send out to
the people you want to try it out or who you want to invite.

I’ve been promoting GVO Conference on traffic exchanges and have had 1,000’s of page views, but I don’t see any leads. I’ve used the main affiliate URL. What else can I do to generate leads besides using search engines.

One danger – which I am sure that you are aware of – is the overexposure of the ” The Hype ”
Facts, Documentation, Proof are much more valuable than too much talk.
Also a factor that you may not have considered. If you are in fact reaching 40 or more Countries then you must appreciate that there will be some Language Difficulties.
Your Verbal presentations need to be : Much Clearer, Presented more Slowly, Using simple. illustrative wording and be more Structured in Presentation. SLOW DOWN be CLEAR Not everyone one understands your Amercian English
Otherwise those people in Other Countries will not be able to Comprehend what you are saying.

No animations are not supported becasue it converts it to a small flash file. If you use animations the PPT becomes a bit large for everyone to see in a timely manner but we are working on supporting animations soon

I think is very good what you are doing with the new members regarding the price but how about giving the old members that still pay the high price somehting to motivate still paying the high price.
Because many of our members do not need a 300 room but were paying gladly the 44 dollar account now if they do not see any diference in the service they receive – and any incentive to keep the 44 dollar account we will have lost a costumer that has the value of 4 costumers monthly.
Why not pampering them and give some treat like the prospecting system and for example the branding.
Is just an idea that i think could keep the 44 and 59 dollars clientes.

When you guys do the 8pm call I have been at work for 3 hrs and away from my computer, I have interested parties in Australia and many of them have the same issues. And the last question as I am a South African we have 11 official languages in our Country, and I am bilingual in two of them, is there room for improvement in the other languages in our Country later on? As there would be people joining from South Africa that can speak more of our Country’s official languages than me!

It’s the webinar-point. Guys, it is absolutely impossible for me to participate the webinar at that 8pm point in time. In Europe we are 6 hours ahead in comparison to ET. That means 8pm ET = 2am in Munich.
The easiest way would be to RECORD the webinars, let’s say for a couple of days lately. So you give me the possibility to watch it next day in the morning… wouldn’t that be great service & help?

I must say the software looks very cool and probably very easy to operate from the demo the other night, despite a few glitches. I didnt find out from that demo nor from the website how “I” can make $$ off this by being a distributor for you? Is that the case?

Today I was talking with someone about GVO C and this is a suggestion which I believe will make the product even better. Is there a way to create a plugin which can integrate into MS Outlook, and/or generate reminders about upcoming conferences or send email reminders about conferences? This would be something like what happens with Gotowebinar meetings. This would be a really good feature to add – in addition to my earlier suggestion about an instant messenger (free) which can be installed on computers/mobile phones, etc.

I think that lowering the price is good but lets also think in the long therm of your and our clients
Why a client with 50 seat room -that it is maybe the total capacity that he or she will need for the rest of their lives in terms of usage of her or his room – would buy more from you taking a 44 or 59 dollars account
My idea for people wanting to upgrade would be to give the existing clients of 44 and 59 dollars accounts an incentive
Here is my input:
Why don´t you give 100% commission on each new sale for the first month if you have a 5 room account
And 80% commission on each new sale for the first month to every one that has a 44.99 dollar account
That would be permanent for the people that is paying the high price accounts
We will doing many things like that … great ideas for sure

I am albe to watch all types of videos on my computer. Including your blog, Youtube, the conference room, etc. However, the videos in both of the new opt in pages is extremely glitchy. I have an average pc and almost the highest speed there is available so my concern is for our prospective partners. My request is for a simple slide show we can click, recite, and close. Example: Our research Org. seeks funds for none-drug comparison studies. We have about 30 web & Blog sites needing upgrading with plugs-ins and SEO and of course GVO configured.
We want to tap into the/social network/video/distribution section.
A major need is to use the MOBILE-gold rush of traffic.
So we need people of the skills to do this.
The budget of $1,000 is available.added to this we would share a % percentage of income.
Now GVO is really going global perhaps they could put a plan together to gather teams to work together. To help people like us-Therapists with not the time to devote to the IT marketing needed.
ROLL ON GVO
Need GNU Linux support. Not just MAC, which is a hybrid/proprietary OS.
Many millions of people around the world can not afford either Microsoft or Apple OS prices. Without free OS’s they would not be on Internet.
I have not been able to get camera working in the conference rooms using anything but windows.
I have camera working in several programs, on 9 different distributions of GNU Linux. But can only use the microphone in the conference rooms with any of these Linux’s So there is something in they video portion of your “Flash” routine that should or should not be there. I am not much of a programmer so I do not which. Have been to Adobe site and downloaded latest versions of “Flash” for all of these distributions.
One other thing we need. Swipe files for several follow up emails. To put into automated Que to send every few days.

The GVO Conference software is awesome and nearly perfect! Myself, I have only three items on my “wishlist” for a further development:
1. The possibility to have displayed a previously defined webpage / video / graphic – when the window with the room opens for a visitor – even when no moderator / nobody is present in the room.

GVO Absolutely rocks! The only thing I would ask to be changed is the desktop sharing upgrade. I think its a little over the top. I can understand from a company side why its there. From a customer side I just feel like its too much. Our room should have full capabilities to perform a show with 50 people. Again I understand why, but don’t agree with that upgrade and will lose out if it isn’t changed due to my refusal to pay for something we should have as part of the program. Makes no sense to a customer to have a 50 seat conference room with the capability of only 25 seeing your screen. What do the other 25 people see if the room is full? I fell that is “THE ONLY” necessary change at this time. Other then that things are more then peachy. GVO your home forever!

Hey Joel- I think the pre-launch has been fantastic so far. People who are business builders see the great opportunity at hand and are more interested in tools to market and position it better. More email swipes would help, and keep the videos coming!
As far as network/internet marketers, coaches, trainers, consultants, they are more concerned with functionality, ease of use, and the look and “feel” of the site. It still appears (to me) to be less visually appealing than GoToWebinar and the DimDim interface.

of seats. Next going international with multi languages. The big one is as an affiliate
program they do not offer residual commissions.

It is in the memebrs area too so that you cant ever see the list… some people want that.. nto sure why.. maybe they want to over exagerate how many are on their calls LOL Ive seen many claim hundreds on a call on telephone lines, but you can tell there were less than 10… just odd 😀
Is there another payment methode foreseen in the near future than only by credt card / debit card. In countries outside the US and Canada many people don’t use credit cards. They make use of the payment methods offered by their national banks – and I guess, specially in countries with lower incomes.

Could we get a dropdown menu for about 5 to 10 URLs added to the address field of the room browser? That would help a lot and save time when presenting different websites / web pages. The room owner could add the links of the mostly needed websites / web pages to this dropdown menu.

With regard to your mail about lower cost hosting, I would like to see conference removed from the current $44.95 hosting and services bundle and the price dropped to $39.95 (Maybe could even spin off the Video Production and get it down to $29.95 with hosting and auto-responder) – People could just add a GVO Conference membership at $8.97 if they needed it for a slightly higher total package cost 🙂
As to a $10ish hosting package, that is a really crowded market heading towards $2 – $3 a month (or even free according to MikeG) so it might be a lot harder to present a profitable competitive value presentation there whereas we do have competitive value in the larger services bundle although of course there is price pressure there too with auto-responders coming out with low or even free/ad supported prices.
Maybe the compromise is to sell an everything bundle at a really low price for the first 6 mo like $19.95 – $29.95 / mo (knowing as we do that most people will never use most of the services and will be light users of what they do use) and after the trial period, auto-renew (possibly at a slightly higher price) dropping an option or two like Conference and Video which they could add back at about $10 / month each. This would allow us to continue to present a higher perceived value without cutting prices as fast as the market as a whole but to keep the value in Hosting/AutoResponder/LeadCapture we need to work for higher developer awareness – there is a lot of marketing software out there that supports awebber and get response but not much that is GVO friendly.
It still seems like a good idea to keep Conference out of the big package in order to keep the bundle price as low as possible as even though we still do have a good total value proposition, I am seeing lots of resistance from those opting for less robust $15 – $20 Reseller packages.
My vote would be to intro an “Everything” bundle at $19.95 / month to blow away the lessor competition and then auto-renew at $24.95 to $29.95 without a couple of the options like Conference and Video which could be $( – $10 / month add-ons each which would bump the total package back up to where it is now or a little higher.
There could still be a market for a free to $20 / yr Starter Hosting/Blog/email package, although I think we should offload the email to google apps which I think they will still pay us to do. This could also be augmented with ad revenue which GVO should split with its affiliates and and probably even with the end users to add a viral component to its growth. This could be a mass market product that we marketing affiliates could sell as a list builder and market base for future a-la-carte upgrades like personal/family or business conferencing or video production/hosting or reseller hosting/marketing.
I would like to see the Poll expanded or to have some other option to capture Optin Name and eMail info and it would be great if it had the option to save the opt-in info both as a text file and directly into a selected GVO auto-responder. This could be popped up anytime like a Poll is now and could optionally be made the price of entry to any given conference.
I would also like to see WordPress plugins (and/or HTML/Javascripts) that could display selected active conference components like presenter 1, 2, 3 or 4 window or the chat window or the show/share window (not necessarily all at once) in a blog or on a web page.
Like, Tweet and Tell-a-friend buttons would be good too.
