“Have Fun Friday’s” and Hurricane M-Ike

Hi Everyone,

Firstly, Mike and I want to say that we DO UNDERSTAND how serious Hurricane Ike is to the Texas coast line. Our prayers go out to all of you who live there.

Now in spirit of "Fun Fridays" 😀 I think you will be extremely impressed on how prepared our new data center in San Antonio Texas is for this massive hurricane. Frankly, we think this Hurricane was started by our good friends Mike Filsaime and Mike Cheney. Why? Well to be honest I have been bragging to both of them just how reliable and awesome our new data center will be .
😀

So..

I think both Mike’s made some sort of VooDoo potion to start the hurricane! You see, both of them are doing MAJOR internet launches in our Data center right now!

Mike Filsaime is launching his AMAZING program called Traffic Fusion
Michael Cheney is launching his AWESOME program The Golden Thread

So why did they start the hurricane? Because they want to see if under a massive internet launch, our data center will pass the hurricane test!

The first three people to post below, will win a FREE corporate redesign of your business card or logo. We want you to give us two thumbs up or two thumbs down. Do you think we have adequately prepared for Hurricane Ike?

  • I’d like to hope that you’re adequately prepared for the hurricane!

    Two Thumbs Up!

  • Two thumbs UP! Lol, that was entertaining stuff. I’m sure Mike(s) datas will be well protected and the battery backup will do just fine =D

I think with those preparation, you’re definitely going to get owned though by the hurricane though~ Heh~ Thanks for making the fun vid!

  • Absolutely two thumbs up from me!

Should only wish my own local data equipment was as well prepared to tackle the forces of nature.

Will have to leave in a moment to connect my Volvo 245 1988 model to my electrical circuitry. Great idea!

  • A hurricane is a hurricane but I’m betting both Mikes take theirs to a Cat 5!
(and it’s nice to know that Mike Filsaime made it home safely from his trip to McDonalds!) Have a great weekend – and if you have stress, drop our website for a visit and get a FREE 6 page pdf on how to reduce stress!

  • Hi Guys
I’d have to give you two thumbs up on this one. I found the video very informative and comforting (my websites are on your system also).

Could you tell me who your contractor is who did the water protection system for your server? I think I could use it as well (very feting).

    Thanks
    Norm Brooks

  • Hi Joel,
I agree with you the two mike,s must be responsible.
I give you 2 thumbs up.
    Glenna

  • I’m sure you are well prepared…if not, we would ALL be in trouble! As for the voodoo duo, I highly doubt it but it would be rather interesting to find out two Internet marketers were behind such a calamity. Two thumbs up!

  • Glad to hear you are well prepared for the impending weather. I am also keeping and I on the two Mike’s latest offerings.
    Keep up the good work.

PS – How about a hot conference meeting at a time more convenient to us West Coasters? They always seem to be at the same time (7:00AM PT) and I can never make that time due to other obligations.

  • Great video guys, the hurricane misses everyone.

  • Definitely too fumbs up guys..!
So how many horse power does the server centre run on ? Two love, your service.

May we also add our best of luck from the UK to all the folks in the path of hurricane Ike, we rarely experience anything like that here thank God, it just rains and rains and…
    Take care all,

  • Hello Joel and Mike,

From me you only get one thumb up and the other thumb down.

This is because you have forgotten that a hurricane tends to be windy.

I would recommend that you tie down Mike F and Mike C’s servers with something substantial such as both of your wallets attached to a hefty length of fibre optic cable that you might have laid around.

  • I’m speechless! It takes a team of savvy Canadians to move to San Antonio to show how you should be prepared for devastating hurricanes!

Duracell will be proud of you. That has to be a Canadian Tire battery in your car to be able to handle that backup to the backup power 😉

  • Well I have to thank you for sending this mail, because I suppose that Hurricane Ike, I think also that Hurricane could be prepared by both Ike´s.

But I think that your Data Center will become without any hurt. God Bless You Both.

Thanks a lot for all you are making for Internet an trying to teach to the ones that are trying to live a good live using it.

Well Boys thanks an good Luck.

  • Hi here!
    No video?

    See you later, I hope…

  • You guys are a trip! Wow! The data center looks awesome! Congratulations! PS – My son & daughter would go nuts for that SpongeBob umbrella! Where’d you get that? PPS – Woulda been a two thumbs down until I saw the M3 there as a backup to the generator then it changed to a 2 thumbs up! Feel much better now! 😉

  • Thanks for the Fun.

Love to be in HC for some years now. Keep it up Joel

  • Hey Joel:
My advice to you is to build your next facility in Tobago. I just came back from my Tobago vacation. Hurricanes hardly ever hit there because they start there.

On my way back to Canada, I flew past Gustav, then over your Austin Texas facility and landed in Seattle. Now I am home in Vancouver Canada, I have THREE things to look forward to:
    1. Your $300.00 Refund because you gave me three names in your database.
    2. A call from my Kiosk Sponsor Mike Filsame to fix my Consumercredit-solutions website. But he is harder to reach than the President.
    3. Your logo make over but on that website so just maybe I will finally get it to work.

When all this is done. I expect the downpouring of traffic and the pools of cash that will blow into my Paypal account with the strength of hurricane winds. After all, my concept shows every Mortgage Holder, (who will listen), how to legally extract at least $200,000 from their 30 years of mortgage payments.

  • Two thumbs down…
I’m backing up my web site right now as we speak, transferring it over to another web host and redirecting my domain to the backup host. This is going to be a bigger disaster than the downtime from The Planet!!! I can’t believe I actually listened to Mike Filsaime when he said to let you guys host my web site. I’m going to drive over to his office right now and take his kitty cat hostage. The ransom is going to be that he has to do at least 5 mailings for me over the next year!

Great post guys, that was hilarious!

  • Two Thumbs UP! lol you silly goofs! the back up batteries get my 110% vote!! You get another two thumbs up and wigglin’ for making me smile on this rainy day!

  • Hey I hope all of you will be OK. And so too everyone in Texas.

Hurrican Ike sure is nasty – even gas prices in Canada went up 10%.

So Mike Filsaime and Michael Cheney are doing their Voodoo thing huh? Anyone here know about anti-Voodoo?

But I see you’re all ready for it – including the data center.

Chin up guys I’m sure all of you are well prepared. Good luck.

  • yes joel i give two thumb up to kiosk.ws for being prepared for the hurricane ike.

    George D.

  • Hey Guys,

Nice spoof but I’m giving 2 thumbs down

    Mike

  • Great blog as usual, bet both the Mike’s feel really reassured now that they have seen that! Ha.

  • I give you two thumbs up. Just keep your powder dry.

    Walter Williamson
PS: Thank you for the T-Shirt I won for identifying Joel’s parents.

  • Two thumbs up! Plus a few toes for good measure!

    Whoo yah!

  • Interesting blog. However, after watching it I felt I had just wasted 5 minutes of my valuable time. Maybe the reward of a company logo remake will make this worth it?

  • Hey guys!

I think you’ve gone above and beyond in preparing for M IKE. Good job!

    Kathy Pop

  • You guys are definitely cutting edge and also OFF THE WALL.

No idea what you guys had with your coffee this morning. I thought we had the best coffee in the world here in Costa Rica. Obviously you Canadian/Texans have one on us. DANG!

Sure hope the hurricane doesn’t hit Texas as hard as your inanity! LOL
Need extra AA batteries? Let me know.

    Warmly

  • I know you guys are in San Antonio, but I think you’ve got it all well covered even if you where in Houston and right in the path of M-Ike.
The real question is can you handle the real storm that will hit when these products go live,LOL

  • Hey Guys,
Congrats on your hurricane preparedness! Those “AA” batteries should do the trick backing up the APC, riiight? My son and daughter-in-law live in Austin with 4 of our grand kids. Our hearts and prayers are for all who may be in the hurricane’s path.

  • Oh yeah! Two Thumbs Up!

  • Bonjour Joel,

  • Joel’s UPS car, the heavy duty umbrella and the feet flood protection are indeed the best in the industry.

I could not think of anything even by far as good as those rock solid defenses!

Good luck for the people near the hurricane area, hope they are well prepared!

  • I am impressed with Kiosk . I need a hosting company who cares about their customer like what Kiosk did.

  • 2 thumbs up … Esp the battery backup great choice

  • I´m sure you did. 🙂
    Happy weekend.

  • Two thumbs up, however you may have rain, electrical and fire covered but do you have the unforgettable human error covered. You need to have a unapproachable creature like you had in a previous Friday blog.
    Dallas

  • look pretty prepared to me…

your websites still up and running!

  • I gonna give you two thumbs up, simply because you thought the entire redundant process out…

  • The new Kiosk Data Center is a golden jewel of Canadian ingenuity in America. Herein lies the ultimate marvels of modern man – simplicity and unparalleled security all for less than $100 at your favorite department store! An immaculate building, fully integrated CPU suspension systems with rubberized cushion shock absorption, a water protection system that an 8 year old could believe in, familiar name-brand battery backup, state of the art automotive-style alternative power supply, and two Canadian comedians – what more could could anyone want!

  • Hey guys!

Well, it looks like your trusty umbrellas can withstand the triple threat hurricanes, “Mike”, “Ike” and “Mike”. Great Job!

    Best of luck

PS. You get 3 thumbs up for EFFORT!

    Andre’

  • I, too, hope that everyone will be safe from the approaching storm.

I give you two thumbs up for you preparations. I really like your backup systems. They are quite creative.

Seriously, I use to be in charge of a data center. Your preparations are impressive.

Here’s hoping your servers survive the data storm.

  • Love the duracel and the car as backup! Great job guys! Keep up the awesome work as usual!

  • Yes, Joel & team had done 2thumps up
for Hurricane Ike. Keep up the good work.

  • Absolutely two thumbs up … one for each of the holes in the ceiling!

    Great job as always.

    Dan Lindsey

  • Hi Guys,
Nice, playful approach, but I suspect you’re dead serious, too, about protecting both your resources and your clients’ resources. Glad to see you’re thinking about the situation.

While you’re at it, consider what you’d do if power were out for 3-6 weeks, and not just a few hours. That could realistically happen in a hurricane / tornado situation.

  • Hi Joel ,Mike the two thumbs up is Michael and Mike program .The two thumbs down is for you and Mike because it seems that you are too trusting .But I hope Ike start to weaken and make not too much damage.
Here we have some time also big cyclone .Take care!
    Joseph

  • Oh Ya, Great demo guys. I think you got it all covered. 🙂 TWo Thumbs up. It is not every company that goes to such lengths to garantee uptime. hehe

    John Wiseman

  • Hey Guys

Love your redundancy… And the car engine one is the best and the most reliable… seriously…

    Two thumbs up baby.

On a side not I must tell ya I am switching to Kiosk on Michael Cheney’s recommendation… I am his personal coaching and mentoring student…

1 ms of downtime? … I can live with it though…

  • We are fortunate here in the Uk not to have hurricanes and my heart goes out to you all in having to take such precautions for Hurricane Ike. You can only do what is posiible to do, two thumbs up for being prepared. Better to be safe than sorry.

  • Amazing! You certainly look prepared.

  • Ok you guys, do you really think anyone who has been keeping up with you is going to believe that you wasted all that blood, sweat, tears, yes and hard work, money and time just to let some hurricane come along and tear it down?
NO WAY!!!!! And sorry Mike and Mike, but you are NOT that strong—to start a hurricane :). I give you a BIG TWO THUMBS UP for being prepared.
ps I’m also praying for all of you down there, from up here in Dallas!

    all the very best. Sean
P.S Got the Tshirt thanks its great!!

  • I’d be very surprised if you don’t pass the hurricane test, considering all the preperation and effort you have put into the data center.

    2 Thumbs up

  • 2 thumbs up if your car stays on the ground :):)
    Cheers, Freda. Take care.

  • We wish you the same luck with Ike we had with our vulcane in Esquel, Chubut, Argentina. Take care and ask for God’s care. Greetings from Olga and me.

  • Your car UPS back up works! I live in Houston and when we lost power I hooked up my laptop via a heavy duty extension cord to the inverter in my car. Kept me on the air all day. I am in the 12% of Houstonians that has power at 8:30 PM on Saturday.

  • I loved your double redundancy preparations for m….Ike. I know that I am too late for the contest, but 2 thumbs up.

  • Type your comment here. I like your sense of fun and the pun is well taken ! I wish all the very best to both of these internet gentlemen. May their programs evolve as Tropical Revolving Storms(TRS)(Hurricanes and the like)gathering associates in the paths with strength, momentum and be successful.

Kind Regards To One and All = Roy
