“Have Fun Friday’s” learn to relax in your business!

Hi Everyone,

Plain and simple, you HAVE to take time for yourself 😀 Once you do you come back to your business more rejuvenated and more productive. So Mike, Gino and I went for the ultimate.. 😀

Why a pedicure? Because according to Foot Care Direct (http://www.footcaredirect.com) during a typical day, feet endure a cumulative force of several hundred tons and because healthy feet are vital to overall health. The average person walks approximately four miles every day or 115,000 miles in a lifetime. When someone is engaged in strenuous activities, the miles increase.

A healthy body equates to a health mind and business!

The VERY first person to post on the blog below telling us about their most favorite relaxation technique will receive a completely FREE customized lead capture page designed by our in house team 😀

Have an AWESOME weekend!

  • If my day gets too hectical, I take a break and go out with the dog. That way he gets a walk out of schedule and I get my head free. 🙂

  • This may sound like a WEIRD way to relax and get a mind-refresh but I do some hard work. Because I basically do NOT get off my butt from the computer most of the day, I get brain-freeze! – Big Time!
Sooooooooooo I go out and whack weeds, chop firewood, move the furniture around, or go for a long walk – like an hour and a half.(Helps with the on-going weight-loss program as well).
So, if I’m not online you know where I am……. spending CALORIES, not CASH!

  • Reading business books on the toilet.

  • It takes a big man to get a pedicure…It takes an even bigger man to laugh at that man.
For me relaxation comes in the form of a get away to nature. I am far from a tree hugger, but I think that getting away from the daily distractions (computer, cell phones, television) is the best way to clear the mind and rewire priorities. A simple hike or just a good stay out in the great outdoors is the cure for the everyday stress.
I usually return with a mind full of ideas and a refreshed spirit ready to conquer that next challenge.
Thanks for the blog guys! Happy Friday!

  • I think the best way to relax is laying in your bed listen to some music u really like and thinking of nothing !

  • To relax I go to the comedy club (Bonkerz in Altamonte Springs, Fl.) I do videos of the comediens and have put them online using kiosk hosting and amazon S3 http://www.thewhynotlounge.com

  • There’s nothing quite as relaxing as a massage. Unfortunately, I’m on the giving end of the massage way more often.

A nice hot tub visit is also great!

  • I like to play piano or go fishing to relax!

  • woohoo, mani-pedi is my second favorite. FIRST!! a weekend at Hotel Del in Coronado, California with brunch at the Sheerwater! that is the BEST!

  • Oh wow, I am so excited to be FIRST!! wooohooo.. I had to add that when one of our sons went to prom he and his date went for a mani-pedi together. He ‘s no sissy either–played offensive line in high school and was a member of the 1,000 pound club. woot!

So your reputation isn’t ruined here, Joe!

    Live joyfully!

  • Hi Joel,

My favorite ralaxation technique is go to my garden, under a big tree seet there and breath in an out for 7 times and start thinking every part of my body gets relaxed from the toe up

  • My favorite relaxation technique is reading to my 8 yr old daughter at night at bedtime. It’s a great way to lose yourself in the mind viewpoint of child.

  • Hi Joel, and staff,
You know that “drinking a coffee with my self” it`s absolutely important to me, relaxation every day means health and productivity.
This is my tip, meditation and pray every morning, at the begging of the journey, and…
It’s very well-known the history about the lamberjack (woodsman) that every hour spend 10 minutes sharpening his axe to increase his productivity.
so making some mental and physical breaks every hour just to be grateful for life it’s fantastic!

  • I relax by having a glass of champagne in the bath 😉

  • After a long a full life, one of the greatest lessons I ever learned was that “in 100 years – nobody will remember”.
Stress is for engineers to use to create mechanical wonders.
In people, ‘stress’ is natures way of telling you that you are doing it wrong, with the wrong tools, the wrong amount of application and with insufficient opportunity to enjoy what you are doing.
A pedicure might aid the feet but, when you think about it, that’s like looking after a very small portion of a much larger problem. If your feet need attention, what about the rest of your legs? They were what acted on your feet to make them uncomfortable in the first place.
Maybe a pedicure is not the answer. Maybe the answer is in making your legs and feet work in concert with each other?

  • Sitting outside at front porch table sipping fresh cup of coffee at 6 am listening to the birds chirping. 🙂

  • Oh, and by the way, LOVE you guys. Always get great information from you!

  • Hello Mike and Joel,

Great seeing you both having a good time and being able to relax. I’m glad to be back with Kiosk and Hot Conference and to answer your question I feel the best way to relax is to take some time with your favorite hobby, mine being playing guitar. Take Care guys!

  • You look real FAB,guys!
Gotta tell ya,I myself am gonna have a pedicure session just next week.
    Here’s a small funny trick I use for relaxing/entertaining myself.It takes two PCs/laptops.
Put a DVD with you fav movie on the first one and turn the volume all off. Then put another DVD with a different movie on the second PC and crank the volume up.And now, watch the movie on PC1 with the sound from the movie on PC2.I personally tool an immense delight from mixing Terminator with Bridget Jones’s Diary.
    Bye for now,

  • The best way to relax is to take an epson salt bath…
it’s refreshing and it’s really good for your skin…
    Make’s it smooth as a baby’s bottom!

  • Hi Joel!

The best form of removing stress and getting the best relaxtion is “TAI CHI”.
“Tai Chi” for centuries has been used for the best techniques for relaxtion and overall health and well being.

  • My favorite relaxation technique is to pour a glass of red wine, take my shoes off, sit down in a comfortable chair in our screened in porch, and read a David Baldacci book. This takes my mind off of everything else.

  • my favorite relaxation technique is to lay down on my sofa with my ipod and listen to Miles Davis

  • Hey,

My relaxation comes when I can turn the closed sign at my Auto Biz, forward the phone to my wrecker crew, sit down in front of the screen, crack open a cold brew, and start working on my Internet Biz.

    Dirk

P.S. My feet are already worn out

  • Best down time is when you place your self on the seat in your commode room and turn on the ceiling fan, so no one would ever come close. Good time to take a good cup of coffee and the note pad for notes or just dudaling.
    Best room in the house.

  • Smoke a doobie 🙂

    Kidding!!

  • my favorite relaxation technique is massage with appropriate music that is top !

  • If I had to type in my relaxation technique Id definitely be the first and I have to admit I do have an unfair advantage being in a much earlier time zone so….Im skipping this one and letting the next person get this, but thanks for the offer and hope you guys had a real rejuvenating session.

    Enjoy

  • My favorite way to relax is to find a good book (preferably Christian fiction)and a cup of coffee and read. Also have to let the cat on my lap for companionship.

  • For relaxation I do 20 minutes of meditation first thing in the morning and 20 minutes in the early evening. That does the trick! For details on which mediation technique I use go to ta.org.
    Have a great weekend!!!!

  • Hey Guys.
Nothing to worry about as far as your manly reps go. As you both know, the world is becoming much more health conscious and healthy skin and a healthy mind go a long way. To relax and clear my mind I prefer to soak in a hot tub with a good book and my favorite C/W love songs playing in the back ground. I know, I am a bit of a softy. Oh, and I am always looking forward to your next post. Great content as always.

    Richard Schieck.

PS: I do not have a site up and running as of yet but I hope that won’t be a problem.

  • My most favorite relaxation technique is simply getting out and being active (mountain biking)

  • My favorite technique used to be to take a warm shower. But after watching your video, I feel that it would be better to have a nice hot bath, with oils and salts, and some bubbles… and also, a good gossip magazine… 😉

  • Hi you guys good to see your getting spoilt now n then … lets hope every reader poster n member will follow suit….I have another good way to share my method of distraction and relaxation techniques is a nonpharmacologic strategy to promote comfort and decrease anxiety and tension from my neck, shoulder, arm, wrist, stiffness pain that happens from long hours of sitting, keying, and mousing, because of my passion in online marketing … for Sure is, Yes I know there are lots of other ways to counteract this pain and stress but here’s my favorite… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzQJrduvUuM

  • My most favorite relaxation technique… is a deep, relaxing massage while listening to some relaxing music (like nature sounds). And don’t forget the candles.

Ofcourse, a walk in nature relaxes me too.

  • The one thing that I like to do to relax is soak my feet in warm water with epson salt and any type of Menthol. Not only does this clear your nasal passage ways but it soothes your feet. I also suggest to read a Fiction/Fantasy book to clear your head of all work thoughts. That way when you go back to work you have a fresh clean palate to work with

  • Hey all. My favorite relaxing “technique” is to go on a hike, climb a mountain in the area, eat a good meal afterwards, meditate and then just lie down and drift off not worrying about getting up. 🙂

    Have a good one

  • Floating in a pool or a slow moving stream is my favorite way to relax. A good book in a hot tub of water is a close second.

There’s just something about the weightlessness of being submerged in water, or floating on top of it, that is totally relaxing.

  • Relaxation? That is the life!

My favourite relaxation technique is first, a half hour stretching and then a full bodied shiatsu massage delivered by an expert, followed by a 30 minute hot tub soak…

I see all of you are so relaxed, I think I’ll just go do my favourite spa thing I just described. It’s been a long, long week.

    See ya.

  • my relaxation technique is researching, and watching movies

  • Hi Joel & the rest of the guys 🙂
My favorite way to relax to go to the beach. Long walks recharge my batteries, and sunbathing helps too!
Though my feet could use a good pedicure.
    Thanks for the giggle

  • Hey, guys, I don’t mean to hog this space but I can’t favourite this blog on Technorati – please see what the problem is…OK I’m going. My appointment’s waiting.

  • Hi,

My favorite way to rest is to read

I love my 5 Hot Conference rooms. I
have had them for over a year.

  • Hi Joel,
when I need to disconnect from my business, I grab my guitar and I play some piece I used to learn when I was kid.
It helps me to relax and to reset my mind before going back to work.

    Hope you can try this.

    Have a great day.

  • Type your comment here.My favorite relaxation technique is also my favorite rejuvination technique. It is prayer. There is nothing better than talking to the Creator when you are stressed out or bummed out. It really works~

  • I like to go outside (I live in the desert) when I get home. Sit on the porch or on the ground with my dogs and enjoy the breeze, watch the critters, and smell the flowers. The evenings are so perfect for grounding and releasing all stress from the day.

    Great picture. Smart Team!

  • make my wife shut up for 1 minute.

  • Tee number 1 at any golf course on the planet.

  • My favorite relaxation is sitting out in my boat on my favorite link flyfishing for big fiesty rainbow trout with the sun in my face and my favorite beverage. Going to have to try a pedicure!

  • Well, well, well – almost in my alleyway but after seeing the Reflexology foot chart on the wall, that is what we do at the Ontario College of Reflexology http://www.ocr.edu but we are just a college to educate those that wishes to learn about Reflexology. No, no, no – we do NOT provide facial pedicures, etc although it does sound nice! Have fun!

  • To continue with my other post (I hit the enter button too soon!), there is nothing, nothing like Reflexology! Try it and look up your local Reflexologist – I guarrantee that not only will you feel great, it also has health benefits.

  • Brett Shelite The HBB Advisor Here

    Great Video….

My absolute favorite way to relax is to get an hour long massage.

The lady I go to has absolutely magical hands.

The stress just streams out of me.

I would get one every single day if I had the time.

In fact that may be my next short term goal… LOL…

  • Here is how I relax, I go into my basement I kick the massive studio music system on with some herbie hancock or some George Benson on and get into my massive 5 person spa then kick those jets on high for about an hour at about 100 degrees and just relax. I’m a truck driver so I have to relax driving that 18 wheeler all week long, then I get out go into my enclosed sunporch or on the deck and enjoy Gods given Breeze. Then if I feel like it I will shoot me a couple of games of pool on my professional pool table. Then I go and relax with my fiance’ with a movie…

  • Thats the fact, taking time off brings you more fresh and lively and ready to go. Not a bad idea taking time out. Now that you guys have taking time out, what are you upto?
    Pls do get me inform.

  • My favourite practise for relaxation is ho’oponopono – more info on http://www.hooponopono.org … it’s simply about taking 100% responsability for everything appearing in my life. It can be done even while jogging, swimming, cooking, working, having sex etc. in my experience it cleans everything. Miracles happen …

  • Joel & Mike,
My relaxation time many times is comprised of actually more work. But of a different type. I am building on a 400 sq.ft. studio for my wife’s painting hobby. If I become tense while at the computer for a long period of time I will go build for awhile which relieves my tension and sparks new ideas. That is unless I hit my thumb with the hammer. I may have to try your form of relaxation. 🙂 Your videos help too. Keep the great videos coming.
    Terry

  • I like to go out on my Buell motorcycle and ride in the hill country outside San Antonio and just take in the view and the windy roads. Its great way to have some me time. Then stop at some small town eatery and enjoy a good meal and head back. I find that is a great way to relax.

I also look manly doing it. LOL!

  • Hi Joel and Mike,

    Funny post as always.

I go on my mindlab machine in order to get into State in the fastest possible time. It enables me to be very relaxed in less than 30 minutes.

It’s an excellent device – must get a new one real soon as I have had mine for a few years now. This is very useful for Visualization and Relaxing.

    Have a great day

    Martin Jeszke

  • I do manicures and pedicures. At the present time I don’t know of anyone who would do it for me, without charging about $50.00(for a pedicure). My manicures and pedicures involve massage to the elbow and knee, respectivly. That is relaxing. I also do counted cross stitch for relaxation. Sometimes I work on my photos-cropping, naming, etc. If you have a way to upload pictures, I could show you a couple of my counted cross stitch projects.

    Thank you.

    Fragrant Regards,

  • My favorite relaxation technique is to use the vibro shape on my back.. let it do it`s work for 30minutes, I fall a sleep in the bed like a baby afterwards and wake up like a brand new and refreshed man. Easy relaxation technique. You can buy the Vibro shape at TVshop! :O)

  • I’m more of a nature girl myself and love to relax on the beach and dive through the waves on my beautiful Mooloolaba each, Queensland Australia. It’s Spring here… 82 degrees. Are you jealous yet?

  • Awesome guys!
That’s the way to do it..
A full massage would be in order next.

  • Hey Guys,

Sorry I forgot to say before that I think the hairy legs look really sexy!

    Have a great weekend

  • Like taking time out to cool of the worries of work every last day of every month.

  • Well, let’s give this a try. I like to sit out on my front porch deck with a cold beer in hand, gently rocking in my aged cypress hardwood rocker, drifting away on the lightly scented sea breezes as they waft their way through the trees, lightly dozing, listening to the music of the beach. Then I wake up and get back to work.

  • Riding my Harley in the mountains and golf. When I play golf, I don’t keep score. Let my golfing buddies worry about that. I don’t want to know the score till after we finish. I know there are people who take golf too serious and it affects their game. I just play to enjoy the outdoors and the company. That’s not to say that I don’t try to play my best every time.

The most relaxing thing I do is riding my bike in the mountains. The views and the people you meet are great.

  • Joel,
The ultimate relaxation I’ve experienced is a deep tissue massage from a Russian massuse after a steam in the banya.
P.S. My wife and I are planning to join you on the cruise.

  • Hi Joel. It’s Kieran. That was a good video, it was hilarious. You guys looked really cool in pink hair caps. Made me laugh. You’re silly. Especially Gino. Bye I miss you, when will we see you again?

  • My favorite relaxation is sleep. I sometimes work around the clock. At any given moment I may get drowsy or notice I’m not functioning right because of an inability to think, or “get it.” Plopping down in the bed, fully clothed, I drift off to sleep and wake up refreshed and relaxed. After taking care of a few personal duties I’m ready to go again. Having recently read a book on the damage to the brain this habit produces I’ll be happy to read posts on relaxation and what others are doing.
    Thanks Jowl,,,,Jowel,.. Jole.. great topit..!

    George

  • Awesome guys!
That’s the way to do it…
A FULL BODY MASSAGE would be in order next. That’s the way to really relax.

For something a bit more complex, I also find SCUBA to be a completely relaxing environment where you can let the whole world disappear above the surface.

I like to grab a coffee and head down to the water. The salty air clears the head and quite relaxing.

  • Hey Guys,

For me the most relaxing part of my day is when I take my two Pitbulls (Sandra & Lily) for their morning and evening walks.

I get to look at all the different homes landscapes, and admire the foliage around us. It helps to begin and end my busy day.

    Have a great one!

  • You’re abosolutely right! Relaxation is one of the keys to enjoying your success!

With that being said, I enjoy full body massages, hot rocks and all! Afterwards I feel like a brand new man!

I’ve never tried the facials…will have to step up to that one guys! Enjoy your weekend!

  • My favorite relaxation technique is clearing my mind and taking some time to breathe deeply.

Clearing your mind allows you to refocus and gives you a clean slate when your head is filled to the brim with anything and everything.

  • Hi gang,
what a mad mad mad world!!!
nice relaxation technique ladies, was that Joel displaying?? must be the Texan heat!!!
So what do I do for down time? guess it must be running the dogs, boring! I hear you say…
that is my 13 Seppalas come from Eddymonton (excuse miss spelling please) Canada.
Ok so what are we doing running sleddogs in the UK because there’s little snow here these days? well we hook up to 6 dog teams to a 3 wheeled rig made out of bicycle parts and hurtle round the forest at breakneck speeds trying not to pick arguments with the trees on the way in the British sleddog sprint championships. and you got to try the mudpack facial we get naturally racing in the British weather.
I also have a standing invitation to come over to race and film in Canada too, so that’s my recreational downtime, any takers???

  • Hey there Guys, Bob Yeager here from Out-Side the Box LIVE! Well…this one is music to my ears. I’m a personal development and success coach as well as a radio talk show host…so busy has become my middle name. But, everyday, right in the middle of the day, I take my 2 year old daughter Samantha, my black lab Duke and my wife Angella, and we take a nice long hike up the mountain we live on…sometimes we sit under the cyprus trees while the dog is chasing squirrels and my daughter is just settleng down for her nap…talk about some peaceful meditation that my wife and I enjoy together. Thanks for asking this question, it’s always nice to share the experience.

  • good morning all. to day is the first day of the rest of your life, if you take action to make it count. It is the littel things in life metters the most.

  • I all most for got listig to pink floy cd

  • Hey guys. Looks like you have had an awesome day. Outside of getting a pedicure, I love hopping on my 4-wheeler and romping across the hills on the farm. Wow what an incredible feeling is is to have the wind blowing in my face and the power off the engine taking me anywhere I want to go. Lots of times I’ll ride down by the lake and just sit there taking in nature and looking around at all the beauty that God has given us!!!

  • I love to get a deep tissue massage around the shoulders specifically. 🙂 Man just thinking about it makes me feel great… I’m heading out to my local chinese massage therapist right now.

    Cheers Guys
    Love ya work!!

  • The best way to relax is to meditate for a least 20 minutes.

Great Job Guys keep up the great work. I hope you have a fantastic day!

    With great respect and appreciation

  • Relax folks, it’s Fryday!

My fantastic technique to relax every day is to seat near my swimming pool with my feet in the back of a pool chair and looking the beutiful view of the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon at Rio de Janiero, RJ, Brazil over the tip of my toe!

  • Guys;
Great but short video … always enjoyable.

To relax and let the mind run … I like to go for a long drive in the Mountains (since I live in beautiful Utah). Not only do I get to enjoy the variety of Gods work, but my left brain is free to run, explore, create as the right brain concentrates on the driving. I often take notes or talk into a tape recorder (see how bad my technology is?) while on these drives.

    Thanks for all you do.

    Dan Lindsey

  • Heck my daughter got me into pedicures and manicures a long time ago! We make it a father-daughter thing to go to the local place and get pampered.

  • To relax, I try to go to foot massage twice a month. It helps improve blood circulation. It’s originates from China where they believe each area of the foot represent your organs. 🙂

So by massaging the foot, in a way we help the associated organ too 🙂

    Regards

  • The best way I relax is an old but effective method.
I love to just open a Coors Light jump in the Hot Tub, Call the wife to join me, have some great conversation until the moor starts to fade and the sun begins to rise.

What a great great relaxing time.

    O’Yes, Laughs are always welcome…

    Hope you like that..

  • Hey Joel and Mike – I gotta tell you, the most favourite way I have to relax is to get someone else to do the work, so I can nick off and do what my heart desires at that moment… A great example of this for me would be having your team design my lead capture page because I totally suck at this, yet am fantastic at having a massage, which is what I will do instead!

  • It just shows you that one should not rush into things.A bit like life. One should cheek before pushing the send button. In the rush to be the first,I neglected to cheek the spelling in the last e/mail.
mayby one should slow down a bit and smell the rose,
take some time out and spend this present time with the ones you love.
ps,listening to a pink floyd cd

  • Hi Guys,
Personally, a long hot shower works best to relax me after a hard day.
    Jonathan

  • Ha!!
    To many bank contracts…sickness!

  • I am sure I am not the first since I opened this last night and left it open while I went on a long walk with my family.

I like to take the wife, son and dog out into the woods and walk for at least 20 minutes.

Since my wife and I are both school teachers we spend about an hour each dumping our day on each other.

It has become a great way to relax and get it all out. We owe it to Dr. Oz who says anything more than a 20 minute walk a day is overkill and can actually age you.

When I was in the Air Force my wife painted a snowman on my big toe. I forgot and went to PT, while in the community shower I looked down, looked around at the 20 guys and turned red. I have never let anyone touch my feet since!

Anyway, my wife does the spa thing… hmmm if Joel can do it maybe I should join her.

I use to run by myself with the dog and carry a tape recorder but enjoy the time with my family much more.

  • Hello Joel and Mike for me relaxation is peace and quiet with a good book, and a nice cup of tea!
P.S It might be a good idea to randomly select winners give us jonny foreigners in other time zones a chance at these posting (placing) competitions? Keep up the great work.

  • Hey guys,

    You look beautiful.

My favorite relaxation activity is taking a leisurely walk in the forest. I find the closeness to nature there is very invigorating and thoughts provoking.

The enveloping silence is overpowering and is the first thing one notices. Walking among the trees, many of which have been around for hundreds of years, one is inspired and forced to realized how short the time we are given on this earth really is. The urgency to fully live our lives is brought to the forefront and reminds us to go out and strive to reach our goals.

I feel I am very productive for weeks after one of these solitary walks.

  • Great contest with so many responses. Great to see you guys relaxing with beauty treatments. Like the occasional one myself. Anyways being fortunate to live in Northern Ireland with the Mourne Mountains sweeping down to my back garden and being able to watch the boats fish the Irish Sea from my front windows I find relaxation easy. All we need is better weather!!

I have read some of the comments and at one time or another have tried all of them. and they all work to some degree or another.
My personal favorite is to read a book, preferably a good mystery. You would be surprised at the ideas you can get from the titles of chapter, dialog of the characters, the events unfolding on the pages. Headlines for ads, different ways to phrase your own posts for your blog, even ideas for selling on eBay.
I have even come up with what I want to do with my new blog (designed by your design team) http://www.cujotips.com. I will start on that today.
Thanks guys and have a great week.

  • When I try to relax,(which is hard at times as I suffer from anxiety), I have what I call a Nanna Nap, however sometimes I don’t wake up for 2-3 hours later.

I also like to slip into a bubble bath with soft music playing and a glass of white wine in hand. (LOL I only have a hip bath at the moment)
