Too bad the Ed Sullivan Show isn’t on anymore, or you could probably get an easy appearance booking for the number of plates you’re spinning (LOL).
Just one small suggestion for the back office of EVP: I sent my first email to my downline and the line breaks were stripped out of my message leaving a big ugly block of text that looked very unprofessional (I actually got a number of replies saying as much).
Could it be possible to integrate some kind of WYSIWYG editor for the downline mailer – and maybe even the eresponder system? Even something like TinyMCE would be just fine.
It’s great that EVP is expanding beyond the IM niche into the “personal use” realm. While the IM niche is definitely growing, there’s already a HUGE market of people who just want to do video without having to jump into the whole YouTube culture. (Nothing wrong with YouTube, but it has a learning curve all its own).
Nice to be associated with a group who are truly “customer-driven” for a change – very refreshing in the cutthroat world of IM.

Flash version its getting better by the day. Its just awesome,
also being able to work on Mac and Linux…opens the market
right up for everyone.
In regards to our filming I must say that we have a fantastic
video editor with an imagination that never stops.
We do use a full green screen kit. Lighting is the most important
thing out of it all. We run 2000 watts in front of us at all times
when filming indoors. To get images in the back ground our
editor uses a combination of a couple of programs…one being sony
vegas I think and not sure on the other. I can for sure find out
for next Wedn. blog!

First off welcome to EVP. Many ways to earn a commission
here. Anyone that signs up off your affiliate link that is found
in your members area. That take the OTO you will collect a
40% commission on the elite or pro membership. You will have
to contact me off the contact us tab from the main EVP site
so I can check which package you run under. Many other ways
as well…

I am not a fan of these video blogs, I much prefer something written so I can scan through pick up the relevant bits and refer back to it easily in the future if necessary. I find video blogs time consuming, difficult to pick out the actual information from the fluff and generally not so useful for actually imparting information.
From the making side they must be more time consuming as well, much easier to write down some ideas, fill them out then publish them, rather than do that then prepare a script and sit there and present it.
In closing video blogs, good for entertainment, maybe good for selling some tings, bad for giving out information.

PPS When I put this to your support – they simply came back and said where am I sending the new subscribers?

When I setup my minisite for the Free Hot conference and the Free 1 Domain Hosting .
What happens is that when a new reader arrives for a free 1 Domain hosting – they opt in and they are then shown a message that they need to watch their email box ..
When they receive an email they are shown a URL which seems to take them to the Generic Kiosk hosting page??
So where is the new reader who opted in for the free hosting supposed to get the free 1 domain hosting ?
There is no reference to the free hosting?
The same applies to the Free 10 Seat Hot Conference as well.
The other pages are OK because they are sent a download url for a zip.
Am I missing something??

Maintaining a regular product / company dialogue using this format is definitely a step in right direction for sure 🙂
So too adding further quality systems / personnel (Blake) for management and auditing.
ISO 9001 /2000 Quality Accreditation down the track would certainly be a feather in the cap in my opinion.
Enabling even more business sales growth in the government market sectors and indeed generally.
Most organizations want ISO 9001 certification to qualify for a tender or to achieve preferred supplier status: typically for a Local Authority.
However, there are many other benefits that can be added to these, including:
1. Improved internal working leading to less errors and re-work.
2. Improved customer satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Improved morale and motivation.
4. Preferential insurance premiums.
5. Competitive advantage.
6. Increased profitability.
7. Enhanced status.
As a long time HotConference reseller, I’m certainly looking forward to moving the new flash version.
With regard to the current Client download version, I personally generally have no problem with the this version eventually becoming redundant which makes good sense.
To qualify though, only when the new flash version meets or exceeds all the current features currently available.
Although having said that, the only hesitation or reservation at this time is a certain percentage of the market demands encryption for security reasons. I believe the market will continue to require this option of encryption – using flash technologies makes this difficult or even degrades performance so I believe.
Great to see the company moving forward!

Will the 3-seat conference room that used to be available to us in our Kiosk members area (but which seems to no longer be available) become the Flash version once HotConference is launched?
Hi Karen yes Kiosk is still standing after that launch.lol
In regards to the 3 seater it is still in Kiosk members area
in marketing tools. For the first bit you will have the option
to use the download version if you like or the flash version.
Everyone is waiting for the new flash and we are very excited
as well.

I am trying to look at you blog but all the time it is not streaming as it post to do always cuting stoping and loading cuting stoping loding ……..
I always have to stop and wait for about 2-3 minutes so it play OK then it play for 2-3 min and then stop and loding ….
I have try out 7-8 computer in Iceland with the same result stoping and loading all the time
My home connection speed is from 1.5 Mb to 4 Mb
And its is not helping to up sell the video producer if the short video on the promoting web site is stoping 3 to 5 times be for the get to the end!
I know this is not the right place to talk a about this but I already sent some support ticket that was no help
I have to let you know about this
I have one friend in Luxembourg trying this out with the same result and on in Thailand with the same problem stoping loding …..stop…
I just want to know is possible to fix this ? and find out way this is like that and is this working ok all over in USA
It is one video how is not stoping and work well that is all the video that you record with Camtasia and load up on your website

What are you currently doing regarding the conference rooms branding. I pre-paid a whole year as reseller and branding but I don’t see anyway the branding on the flash version of the conference.

I understand what Karen means when she says that the 3 room Hot Conference in our reseller members area is not working any more. I haven’t needed to use Hot Conference myself, but 2-3 weeks ago I decided on checking it out. Yes, the “Your 3 seat conference room” icon still is there in the “Marketing Tools” section of my Titanium mambers area, but when I click the icon I get the message “ADMINISTRATION PANEL IS UNAVAILABLE FOR SUSPENDED MEMBERS”. I thought this just had something to do with the transision to the new version and thus haven’t reported it to your help desk as a problem.
I also have a few questions for you.
Regarding Hot Conference;
1. Would there be an opportunity for people like me, if I should be interested, to take on the job of translating the solution into Norwegian? A relatively small market I know, but that also might make it more interesting, since I suppose many competing solutions are not translated into Norwegian.
2. Do you think it would be a viable business idea having my own conference room with sufficient seats, having small businesses, that think having their own room and adminestering it would be too technical for them, pay me to use my room and to administer it for them?
Regarding Kiosk;
3. Will you update all the special solutions, like my Kiosk VIP franchise, with new look and information before Kiosk is relaunched?

4. I have a question regarding the status of one of your products that I don’t see mentiond anymore, but I think I’ll put in a support ticket about it. Had my yearly recurring payment for the product withdrawn from my bank account not so long ago.

Definitely looking forward to the Flash HotConference. I will start teaching my summer tax classes in May. Will you have (or record) training on how to use the new Flash system?
I’d love to know how to have both a moderator AND a speaker, with the speaker able to change pages, etc.
When I tried it about a month ago, the system wasn’t displaying web-based PowerPoint presentations properly. We ended up getting frozen and moving back to the old version of the room.
Incidentally, it required the account password to use, and didn’t accept the moderator password for the room. (That took a while to figure out.) Will that be changed?
I suspect the system is better now!

Where is the real market and what are we doing about it?
Many of us have hedged our bets that there is a Real Market out there for voip conferencing technology that TARGETS the MLM and Network Marketing community – after all no one offers 100-500 seat rooms at our price! A price that is the BEST price anywhere on the worldwide web.
After spending several years observing the market place and watching in dismay as the competition releases new product after new product that TARGETS users that will never in their life time want or need a 100-500 seat room – I’m questioning wisdom of our focust on this niche MLM market.
Ask yourself why would someone want to pay $67.00 a month for one 10 seat conference room when they can get one of our 10 seat rooms for free?
I spend an hour yesterday in a conference call with the Executive Director of the Illinois Principles Association and he told me something interesting.
He said that although our 10 seat rooms are great he said that he would continue to use his current voip provider (where he pays $67.00 a month for 10 seats and $128.00 a month for 20 seats)- because the software is designed for the educational community and it works great- He told me that schools want functionality and will PAY to get it even as much as $128.00 per month for 20 seats – they don’t care that we can give them 100-500 seats for $60.00 a month.
The Education market is one of the largest market opportunities in the world today yet we continue to focus our marketing on the MLM and Network Marketing community.
I would like to see us start competing with the compitation – the only way to do that is on functinality.
I beleive that if we had a voip conference room that feature for feature was as good as what the educators are using now we could get our product into every school in America and Europe – hell, the world.
YES at our prices, we would conquer the worlds educational market.
But unless we start paying attention to what the educational community wants, needs, and perceives to be a better product we will continue to miss out on an opportunity of a life time.

This WWW blog is a great idea! I am with Steve O thought we really need a regular members meeting and of course regular opportunity business briefings to invite prospects to for both K and HC.
I really like the efficiency of the WWW blog in that we can catch in one our own schedules!
It might be a good idea to offer a kind of franchise package to Hot Conference resellers complete with web site etc like you did Kiosk some time ago.
I also fully agree with Richard Potvin aka “Pops”. Even lots of MLM and traditional businesses are willing to pay We_x the BIG BUCK ’cause they have a very functional system that works well and now with VoIP!
Really looking forward to the completion and launch of the FLASH version! It will really expand our market.

Sorry I have to come through here but nobody is any longer answering the support ticket ABP-13469-298 which started on 10th March.
I have tried for so long with EVP helpdesk to get one domain hosting test working but I’m getting no where after a lot of time spent trying to get this right.
My support ticket has about 10 posts from me and now it has come to a halt with no answers from anyone for the last few days and it still doesn’t work.
I am very disappointed because I cannot promote the free hosting offer until I know it will work smoothly for the people I recommend it to.
I love your blog and I like your comments about the customer being right, but if a future customer signs up for the free hosting as it works now and gets the same experience I have, they will be off.

Hot Conference must be such a great product for so many markets out there.
I’m not much into MLM’s. As you may see from my post above, my thoughts for the use of Hot Conference goes as much for the small business market.
Schools, as you mention, must be a great market.
If a participant can share his desktop it can also be a great tool for one-on-one support.
I’ve also thought of the possibility of using it to offer online classes on different computer related topics for my customers.
Without knowing too much about competing products, I think, with all the necessary functionality in place, we really should be able to enter those markets.

Finally got watching today. there are times when I have to let the video play in stop start mode and then watch it over again as after it has run once it runs ok.
Today I was able to watch it right through the first time. This may be due to the time of day as I am at least 2 hours earlier today than normal.
Any chance of either shortening the intro section of changing the music as I think it is lousy music?
