Should we shave our heads on launch day?

Hi Everyone!

When ever we have a new launch coming I always visualize how it will go. I see certain numbers in my head, a certain amount of excitement etc.

I have to say, the excitement around the launch of GVO is much, much, much more than what I visualized. That’s a good thing. I am truly convinced after 12 years online and 3.5 years of planning, this will be the largest MLM launch online EVER.

We are making history in hosting here folks and I am proud to be making history with you! I promise you, I won’t let you down. We have crossed all our T’s and dotted all our I’s over 3.5 years to make sure this launch is a success.

Oh yes..

Mike and I are considering on launch day shaving our heads live to donate to charity? I would love your opinion… Is that a good or bad idea 😀

Please post your thoughts here on the blog.

Have an awesome day!!

  • No need to shave the heads guys. Just ensure GVO system is working in all areas and the system is ready to handle it all. Nothing worse then a launch that isn’t ready.

Good luck on launch day and hope we all prosper!

    Remember, Today is Yesterday Tomorrow!

  • By the way, where is my free T-Shirt from the offer you made earlier?

  • Awesome! Really pumped about the full launch of GVO & greatly appreciate the regular email & blog updates.

Definately, shave your heads and donate any funds raised to charity, add the video to your blog for all of us to see who may busy working at that time.

It will be an Event to remember, maybe you could even make a launch day t-shirt to commemorate the day, with your guys shaved heads as part of the logo, lol 🙂

    Cheers from Alf in Australia

  • Another great video guys, history in the making. Can’t wait until the 20th, going to be a great GVOINGGGGGGGGGG day.

The help video’s in the backoffice are great. Thanks for all you do, to help make us successful at what we do.

  • Hi Mike & Joel,

It would make a contribution to a charity some real meaning if you both have decided to do so!

It’s going to be a big hit on the launch date and you both deserve it
    for all the hard work.

  • That’s must be the best ever product launch on internet if you guys make it REAL! Everybody will queuing online to see the historic launch of this product and the team making it big with sacrificing their HAIRs….

Go on and let’s make this GREAT!

    Cheers

    Nizam

  • I would only do the stunt if:
    1. The charity is known in advance
    2. A representative of the charity is present
    and
    3. Get NEWS COVERAGE to get the GVO name in the national news cycle for a day or so around launch.

Having the charity known and a representative is to support the NEWS COVERAGE.

  • I’m really excited to see the impact on GVO launch day. GVO is the GREATEST!

I would also love to see you guys shave your heads 😀

    Best regards,

    Victor A. Roestad

  • Yes, if it means you will get easier to look at???? How about donating the money and just putting a bag over your head? I think the idea is not to scare customers away isn’t it? Too early to celebrate Halloween unless you are going to celebrate by handing out candy. Well of course I’m just kidding. Shave away, won’t make much difference.

  • Joel, don’t shave your head bro.. unless your wife…approves!

Excitement lasts a few minutes but you must live with that woman:-)

    #1 Rule If MaMa ain’t happy ain’t no-boodday happy! Looking forward..to Launch!

Where is my shirt from last week!

  • Yes anything for charity…ha!!

  • Hello Joel, Hell0 Mike,

That’s really a great idea. Go ahead, Do it! I am curious to watch the video then. You will save on your haircut and can donate more money!

    Best regards
    Horst-Dieter

  • No problems on my account! If it is going to enhance the coffers of a worthwhile cause then.. .LET THE SHAVING commence!! 🙂

  • Hi Guys,

It’s a yes on the Head Shave since it is for a Charity. Otherwise I’d have said No.
    Keep up the Brilliant Work!

  • Hi Joel,

No…that’s an amateur play. Just launch it like the pros that you claim to be….no need for the theatrics. We’ve waited long enough already…..just launch it for cryin out loud!! Sheesh

    Randy Ritter

  • Yes, I vote that you both shave your heads! God you guys will look cute, LOL

Think it is a great idea to do it and donate to charity. Sounds like a great marketing idea too;)

    Terry

  • NOOOO…. please don’t shave your heads…. my wife says you’re too cute just the way you are!

  • Yes!
Do like me, always shave your heads before winter. Let it grow for the summer :).

Shave your heads and grow a beard!!

    Good Luck!

  • What a great meeting!
    Do not Shave your head!

  • Well since you are in a warm climate (not here in PA where it got significantly cooler today) I say you could go with shaving your head.. otherwise I may say pick something else.. still donating to charity of course!

    Looking forward to 10-20-09 🙂

  • One does not need to shave his head to give to charity…. just give. If you want the glory of man, boast about it. If you want the Glory of God, do not boast about it…Sorry mate! But that is the way it is…..

  • cant wait for launch day…
You are doin a great Job folks…
And yes =>shaving Your heads live !

  • Yea, Joel opened a can of worms, LOL Where is my T-Shirt also? Headed to the Texas State Fair on Friday and sure would like to advertise…

    Terry

  • Joel… If you shave your head I will too! So, I dont know If I want you to shave it LOL

  • WOW! What a trip… seeing is believing, even though we knew this was taking off with or without us.

You guys not only have a state of the art data center there, but the many people behind the camera are the best in the business!

Thanks for the “cameo” appearance and for providing this amazing opportunity to everyone.

    – Mark and Ken

PS. We are definitely for you guys shaving your heads! Remember, you can always buy some cool wigs! 🙂

  • Being as my head is usually shaved it is a fine idea to me, although I am not to sure that Mike would really be suited to a shaved head but what do I know anyway.
Have a great day and a better tomorrow “Chance Favors the Prepared Mind.”

  • Yes, I agree – shave your heads – it’s a new beginning.

It’s warm in SanAn and you can always wear your GVO hat!

Good to see all 4 of your interact!

  • Hi Joel,Mike,Mark, and Ken Great job and I am voting for the FOUR GVO BALD AMIGOS!

    Best Regards,
    Blaine

  • I think launch day is going to be awesome enough, no need to shave your beautiful heads. :}
    Congrates Guys

  • I agree with Joel (comment #1). No Amway theatrics are needed just provide a good product/service. By the way, why can’t I upload a cvs file of leads to the Titanium eResponder? It appears that you would have to reorder the data to match the example header format (not possible). Also, please add an online text info/operating manual for each feature. The knowledge base feature is very weak.

  • You guys are always good fun and deliver the biz. So if you’re doing it for charity cool go fot it!

  • Yes, you should shave your heads.
    Maybe legs too! LOL

  • Thank you guys for the presentation!
I can see how excited you are, it gets me more excited as well.
Only 1 week and a day ’till launch-time, bravo!!
What you are offering is really a bargain, thanks for that.

  • Hey guys,

I like the charity idea. If you do it choose something to do with children!

How are you guys dealing with the ‘weather’ change between Canada and Texas?

  • That is a NO on the shave your head.
The launch will be enough excitement.
GO GVO! Go Joel, Go MikeyP

  • I say Shave, Shave, for charity. More important, save your hair and Auction your hair on 20th Oct 2010,So that I am in position to bid for the hair a year later. The money should go to the charity of the choice of the highest bidder.I would love to out bid Bram Smith!!!
Great stuff all you four guys. Nice to see you having fun, and so passionate about My Business!!

  • Oh you all are so cute…………..wish I had some more daughters.Even the bald one there. No shaving just do what God says and contribute 10% and let us know to who it is………good luck and best wishes to all of you…..

  • Hey Joel and Mikey P.

I will PERSONALLY “donate” $50.00 if you shave your head!

    Come on, everyone…. it WILL be for a good cause! $1 – $5 – $10 …
Any amount will go to a good cause!

What do we need to do to get Ken and Gerry Schroeder to do the same! LOL

    Dina Call

  • I have wanted to shave my head for so long but my wife said “Don’t! You will look like a wrinkled old man!” LOL.

    Go for it!
    Damn the torpedoes!
    Bite the bullet!
    Throw caution to the wind!

No entrepreneur has ever succeeded without taking risk. Joel, just make sure that the cot in the basement is comfortable LOL.

It is warm enough down there … but we drove through a snowstorm yesterday while going north to Muskoka for Thanksgiving dinner with family.

Great blog video this week. Lots of dialogue, lots of info, and great entertainment – as usual.

As a side note to your Gatineau comment, Joel, we moved our daughter to La Peche (near Wakefield) a couple of weeks ago.

God bless to the GVO team, all the best … you deserve the success!

  • Hi Joel and Mike,

I do not think that shaving your heads is a good idea.

We have waited all this time for the launch of GVO to take place so that we can start promoting the products and opportunity again.

If you shave your heads, you will get publicity, for sure, but you will be remembered (maybe for a day, or so) as those two crazy guys that shaved their heads to launch something or other.

We do not need this gimmick at this time, maybe some other time, but not now, focus on the launch please.

    Just my opinion.

    David S Smales

  • I think it would be very generous of you guys to shave your hair for charity. As kind and noble as that would be, I also agree with Curtis Walker. It would not hurt to do it with a rep from the charity AND some news reporters there! Take advantage of the opportunity guys! PUMP it for all it’s worth, you only get ONE launch! Keep us posted!

  • Hey Guys…how do we get a link to promote the different pages I am seeing already on the traffic exchanges etc….

I come from an era when we grew long hair, now everyone looks like a redneck to me.

But it is what it is, so if you must be sure to get a couple of ear rings and a nice GVO tattoo.

Heck, I might even do that!

  • Do You Guys Need Really Needs Haircuts?

  • Great Blog Guy’s
I could almost feel the excitement flying around the desk!!
    10/20/09.BRING IT ON…….Go Go GVO

    Steve

  • hey, its our wedding anniversary on your launch date but we celebrate a day before you do, so will we be having dual launch dates? Guess launch date for goGVO will be easy for me to remember. he he
Noel, to shave or not to shave depends on the weather, whether to or whether not to, just think of Tellman running on that hard road and donate to his fund raising for homeless teens across USA and finds it hard to run when the weather is wet. If you shave, donate to the homeless youth cause, they do not have the space you have to move around in.
    Cheers,make a difference,

  • You guys have showed your dedication to us a long time ago but you still got to shave your heads to at least look like Mark Call, I’ll even do it with you! You have guys have a Awesome Product with an Awesome Staff, I think we will be watching history happen! Lets GO GVO!!!

I can’t say thank you enough times.

Joel and Mike plus everyone else over at GVO. You Guys ROCK.

    Let’s do this!

    Michael Stracher

P.S. Did I mention this is going to be BIG! 😉

P.P.S. Hey, Mikey P. Since I never received the T-Shirt from you back over the sumer can I get one of those signed ones? Thanks

  • Hello GVO,

Great blog. We are gearing up for launch and have never been more excited than we are now.

Shaving of the heads would be a great way to attract people without doubt.

We absolutely love your products, your support, and your compensation plan is unmatched!
    Shave those heads…
    Thanks for everything.

    Michael Pilcher

  • I would not shave them and instead figure a different way to give to charity. Hey on the T-Shirts, in all fairness, it really depends where we set on the mailing list when we get the email and time to respond back. So three makes it very difficult to get there first if were down the line on the mailing list. I posted as soon as your email reached me and ended up at 32. How about first 50 or even off to purchase one! You Call guys!

  • I got so excited from the video I forgot about the shaving of the heads.

I say if it is going to raise money for a good cause, go for it.

It will always grow back. Right? 😉

  • Hey Joel & Mike I say no to
    shaving your head.And great
work on doing the things that
    count.Thanks to great owners
Trainers for all the help you
    guys Rock!

    Have a Great Day!

  • Nice job guys, informative and entertaining as always.

Don’t shave your heads, if you want to celebrate, have a party! Host a banquet with some of our IM bigwigs and raise funds for charity. Have guest speakers, hire a band, have a blast! But do make sure you record the highlights for us.

  • Glad the launch date is nearly here. Great to see all you are doing. And YES, shave your heads. That would be So Cool or SoKule.

Good luck and I liked your vbideo.

  • I Love The Spirit!!! Sorry, My Head is Already Shaved Ha ha ha!!!! I Would Love To Have a GVO T-Shirt and Hat To Wear In All My Videos!!!!

  • I think a MoHawk cut would be more appropriate, don’t you think everyone? That would show your not afraid of anything standing in the way, which is the real case here. You’ve proven so far that your a cut about the rest…just show’em now…LoL

    Love it all..fun fun fun

  • Great Idea Guys, When You Go Bald You Won’t Go Back I Have Been Shavng My Head For Years, The Ladies Love It. Good Luck On The Launch

  • I DARE YOU! Joel and Mike…go ahead and shave your heads. I did it! Wife didn’t like it at first but she got used to it.

By the way, it will grow back.

  • No shaving heads…This was an AWESOME blog! I loved the history of the obstacles that brought you to Texas.
Biggest launch in history coming up!
    Go GVO!!!

  • If it helps to create a successfull launch and gives money to the needy, No Brainer

  • Hello Friends of GVO, would not be a bad idea jaja, but we are convinced that their great start we will be prosperous, which will make something great of GVO.
I am with you at the start of luck and God bless!

    greetings from Argentina.

    German jose

  • Yep you should shave your heads. Make a wonderful memorable day that much more fun.

  • Another great video!

On the head shaving question – if you do that will the attention be on the “stunt” rather than on the GVO launch and the incredible opportunity it offers?

I’m all for donating to charity, but I also agree with Curtis Walker. Only do it if the event is well planned and will generate huge coverage for the launch.

    Brenda

  • I was a part of GDI a few years a go, without sounding to negative, I bought the DVD’s, cards, and talked to everyone I could. It went no where for me. How is this different? Just gun shy and being a little cautious is all. If the head shaving is for charity, that’s a no brainer. Shave your heads. Should never hesitate when it comes to doing the right thing!.

  • Yes if the launch does not get off the ground.
No if everything goes well and the launch is on time. (Smile)

Hey who cares what you guys look like if everything goes well. You and the hole GVO staff is doing a great job.Thank You GVO Team

  • LOL. Go on camera with shaved heads! It’ll bring us luck. =D

  • Another great video guys. I like how you keep us so informed. Can’t wait until the 20th. GVO rocks dudes.

  • Awesome! Thank you for a great opportunity. Everybody needs GVO

  • Cool Guys go on and shave your heads maybe even a launch day t-shirt will be a good idea HEY I nearly forgot where is my t-shirt hope we all prosper on this one

    Thanks

    Ezra.

  • Thanks for the email Joel.

This is all brand new to me. Just going to check it out now. Been otherwise engaged recently!

Is there a main website or is that all part of launch day?

  • Hi Joel and Mike again,

I really do not think that shaving your heads at this time is a good idea.

It may appear to some, as a cheap and gimmicky stunt.

It could have a negative effect on the launch.

However, may I suggest that you plan the shaving of your heads for “Thanksgiving” in November.

This will give you sufficient time to gather the statistics of the launch.

You could then create further buzz in a “Post Launch” promotional campaign, whereby you show your thanks at Thanksgiving by shaving your heads and donating to charity.

Maybe, organize for anyone else that wants to participate in shaving their heads, to have a “GVO Global Head Shaving Day”

But, please just focus on this launch.

    Just a thought,

    David S Smales

  • Yeh why not, your losing it any way 😉 May as well hang out with the slap heads.
By the way Joel, your wife loves bald heads, well thats what she told me recently. Nice one.

  • Launch…. launch….Launch…….
Shave your head, and paint it “GVO”..

  • Hey Joel,

  • Hey Guys,
Don’t do the head shave thing; I see enough of this on SyFy. Both of you are cute just like you are. Unless you are having hot flashes, please keep the hair.

🙂 Am very exited about GVO launch!

  • Hey Joel/Mike – Please put me down for the pink hat and T-Shirt!! DARLENE G. http://www.gvogold.info !!
    Signed in GOLD!!

  • I will if you two will…. Wait I am naturally bald on top so that’s not completely fair. But my hair (heart) is in the right place. Hey look guys, I wanna introduce someone into GVO but I want him in my team but I would like to do it tomorrow night not nine days from now …. So he can win the thrill ride with us too during the launch. What do you think? Tom

  • Great video guys. Go on and shave your heads if you like and give it to charity. I personally think you should get GVO Logo tattoos…

I am loving GVO and looking forward to the future with GVO. Way to go guys. See you on launch day.

    Randy Wood

  • Hi GVO Team,

I don’t think you should shave your head. But it’s up to you if you want to. Just make sure this launch event will be 200% ready dan smooth.

    Thank you

    Albert Mikha

  • If everything is a go on Launch Day I say go ahead and shave your heads. WOW

  • What a great idea !!! Shaving your heads will definitely make GVO run smoother.

    Good luck with the launch.

    Barry

  • No! you guys shouldn’t do it.
Simply prove the GVO system a working system, a compentent one that’s all.

  • The idea of you shaving your heads is fun, but I think you deserve a more sincere and joyful commemoration…Congrats everyone…

    Gina Edwards

  • I always support giving to charity, but you don’t explain who is donating for you to shave, or how much.
if it isn’t worth it don’t do it.

  • Type your comment here.

To be honest, I think cutting your hair and donating it to charity is an gracious idea. Maybe some children will get it that needs it. An honorable idea and action.

  • Hey Joel,
You guys are doing a great job, but I have a couple of questions.
When someone joins my group and pays the $1 trial, do they get a full Kiosk back office or what?

Also, do you guys start communicating with them or am I the only contact?

Finally, are they able to set up web hosting, etc. if they do not get the full Kiosk back office as I have since I was previously a member of Kiosk?

Thanks for your help on these lines.

    Gary

  • Great idea. Go on shave your heads.

  • To shave or not to shave, that is the question. Whether it is better to have hair or none…

I’ll leave that up to you.

Thanks Cant wait to the launch… Oh yeah Shave Your heads… Cant Wait

  • How about a shaveathon campaign to mark the launch of GVO as a milestone (new beginnings)in Internet marketing history.
Be sure to link it to a worthy cause to benefit from the proceeds. This way GVO will also be branded as a socially responsible company, giving back to the community.

  • I vote NO to Shaving Your Heads. Why should you have all the fun?

    George Clark

  • Hi Joel,

I think its a great idea. Everything starting from new for the launch. Go for it!

    Cheers
    Jay

  • Hi guys,

Good luck with the launch! I hope it’s going to be a huge success for all of us!

    Love from South-Africa

  • I’m all for charity,but shave your
    heads:D.
    Looking forward to the launch,though.

    Good Luck!!!!!

  • Hi… can’t wait for the launch.

Question: Is there an official GVO site to promote?? Don’t mind promoting the Kiosk site but would rather promote a GVO site as this is for GVO…

waiting in Washington – State / not D.C.

  • Hi,Joel, Mike, Ken + hairshaved guy :-))

You are really honorously noble-men in this incredible Ebizz-World.
    Have to tell my story:

I used Kiosk as teaching platform, so i could get the Second BA in Religious Education.
Then the Title Reverend was granted to me.
All i could do was from my home office- and GVO/KIOSK/EVP/ is my strongest tool for this.

Now: People from India asked me to be their Bishop! It´s some 70 Pastors. We planned a big meeeting in Nov. with 500 Pastors, representing christian churches from all Andrha Pradesh Area.

    Then the big FLOOD came.
Now they needed a “NEW ROOF”.

This is where we go with GVO:
it gives us the urgend opportunity to meet online Global and to build UN-Climate Funds.

You think, this is crazy? No, it is not, not at all!

Mike and Joel went to India to found a NEW DATACENTER.

Now 500 Churches under my “ROSARY” – roof are invited to go GVO!

History? Posession? I call it DESTINATION!

So, go on- let´s have a good LAUNCH together – and don´t just look and talk about the weather!
    GOD is great!
..and my hair is still growing..:-)

    Bless U ALL!

    Rev. ROSARY
    Bishop of ROSARY, India
Member of “Confraternity of The Most Holy ROSARY”, Portland, Oregon

  • Great blog post again, and shaving your heads for charity is a wonderful idea.

My father in law (bald) says, “Moss doesn’t grow on a busy street”, so I have to remind him it doesn’t grow on conrete either!

Anyway, it’s clear there’s no moss on the leadership team at GVO, and with, or without hair, I’m sure you’ll do your best for everyone!

    Take care,

    Jean

  • Oops – that should have been “concrete”.

Maybe I should shave my head too!

    Jean

  • Hello Joel and Mike, I’ve just being checking out that video conferencing software in the members area! It is fantastic!
    Thank You.

  • I am really excited for the launch to come!! You guys are great at what you do and I am really glad to be apart of it.

Thank you for all the training so far and for what is to come.

  • Yes I think you should shave bald and show us the pictures and all the GVO leaders who are males should shave GVO on the hair

    Andree

  • Not sure what charity will be able to use your hair, but have at it.

    It’s been a blast, now it’s blast-off time.

  • Shave the head guys. Years from now you will look back and say…”we did make a splash didn’t we”

  • Great job on the video Joel, Mike, Mark and Ken. I can hardly wait for tuesday 20th of October.

  • lol that was a hilarous video blog. Whats are gigis..Is it like the Gigabyte fiber channel that comes in?

You dont have to shave the heads only if there is very hot.

Thanks for the update, and good luck during the launch. Its gonna be phenomenal. You guys ROCK!

  • Why shave your heads. It is not necessary. Just launch and ensure all systems are ready to go.

  • That would be great fun…I can hardly wait. There is always a charity that can use help. I have never been so excited about a launch and can barely wait.
Thanks for the Thanksgiving Greeting to Canada, very thoughtful and appreciated.

  • As with GVO you guys have not cut corners, be they round or square, so I vote no shave. Just full speed ahead…(pun intended)

  • Yes shave your heads its a good way to raise money for charity.Cant wait for launch day

  • No need to shave your head. Just make sure it is a smooth launching historic day…

  • Hello guys

Great idea. Please do so for the sake of charity.

  • If you do shave your heads, I challenge you to donate your hair to Cancer Care Canada/USA…used for wigs for cancer patients

  • Hello again guys. Great to see you all again. Well I think the intention of charity is good. The world would be watching and everyone has a different opinion. So I better be safe and avoid the Grey areas. Thats my 2 cents. Have a wonderful day you all.

  • I can see no reason for You Guys to Shave Your Heads. The only reason for anyone to do something like that, is because They Want To Do It. I understand that you’d be doing it, Just For Fun, on Launch Day, but I think the Launch of GVO will create enough excitement, without having Two More Bald Heads.

Raising funds for Charity is great, but Shaving Your Heads isn’t necessary. I do shave Mine but, it’s because I Want To Do It. I also donate to Charity, but only because I want to. One of my favorites is “Smile Train.”

The Point is, Do Only What You Honestly Want To Do. That’s the reason I’m in GVO.

The GVO Launch will be Fantastic, whether You Two Shave Your Heads, Or Not! I would recommend however, that you Fasten Your Seat Belts! It’s Going To Be One Heck Of A Ride!

  • Go for it shave it off, its for a good cause, but why not before the launch to show all. Maybe everybody will shave their heads in support.

  • I just joined GVO.

    WOW! Just WOW!

The product is incredible. I didn’t expect this degree of hosting capability outside of a super expensive system. I can sell this to hundreds of people!

“Fantastico” has so much stuff on there I’m nearly overwhelmed. And it’s all included for my $44 ?! The PHPLIST mailing software alone is worth that!

Folks, sign up NOW and sell the product.

  • Hi Joel and Mike,

No need to shave your head we know where your hearts are at.
Can not wait till launch day myself this is going to be big and rewarding for you and for everyone who has put forth all my best

    Y E S !!!!!

  • arrggg…. typos
No head shaving. Eggheads? But, on the other hand, hair does grow back. Especially for guys who normally don’t wear long hair. For me… no head shaving with hair almost to waist, it would take about 10 years to grow back.

FYI. I have a lot of leads in my back office, something that hasn’t happened for a good length of time. So, thanks for the promo tools!

  • —– 1. It was said:
“… this will be the largest MLM launch online EVER”
“We are making history here folks…”
    – these are kinder aims and dreams: better to do the business in silence, w/o self evaluation.
Future will name GVO not made history or made history…

    2. I need a GVO related forum instead this blog – here it is impossible to navigate.

    3. GVO launch is better to postpone: at last I found suitable for pre launch marketing tools and there is not a time – 2 d till launch – to use them.

    Best wishes to everyone

  • This is incredible…I’ve been waiting for a package that’s very reasonable. Thank you guys! Sincerely, The Global Opportunity Community.

  • Hi! Joel & Team,
It is a worthy course to show your love of God for the poor. Shaving BALD is a great idea to gain contribution for others.
Keep giving more and you will receive abundance from heaven window opens and pour out more in Jesus name.Be blessed to give.

  • Heard about this site from my brotha. They pointed me here and told me I’d find what I need. They were so right! I got all the questions I had, answered. Didn’t even take long to find it. Love the fact that you made it so easy for people like me.
