I’ve gotta tell ya! Your posts are always so informative and generous in content.
Thanks especially for this one as it brings home the importance for me to build a solid affiliate program in order to build more traffic.
Although I’ve been using Mike Filsaime’s PayDotCom system to make sales, I have never really explored the idea of creating my own affiliates.
I guess that’s why my Alexa Ranking is as high as 718,000. My goal in 2008 is to bring that down to 250,000 and I now plan on focusing on creating my own affiliate program, thanks to your sound advice.

I am very happy to see that you will be doing this on a regular basis. I know I for one miss your visits in the member’s room.
I totally agree with the statement you made that, “everyone has something to contribute” – absolutely true.
I do most of my business on the retail end. I have been totally out of debt since 1992 and thoroughly enjoy working with folks on a one-on-one basis. The only trouble with that is there are only so many hours in a day to work and working retail even though my profit is at 99% of that retail the key certainly is leveraging your time and your efforts.
I will look forward to coming and reading the blog each week.

Yes, you do provide information we need. But sometimes it’s hard for us ‘newbies’ – I hate that word – to get our head around those big numbers. Despite what every body says it is hard to make that first $1 or $10 or $100 or…!
You definitely need to have a product of your own, or something to differentiate you from all others.

We are using one here Success Patrol and it’s definitely showing results and we haven’t even launched yet.

Joel… excellent post. Dad and I are working on a couple new ventures. We’ve lost a lot of money with Adwords and may try some other routes. Great advice, and I will waiting to hear more on the health venture. Hope you are enjoying San Antonio, we are experiencing a blizzard now in North Dakota.
