  • how did you get that video on your blog?

  • My big challenge is getting traffic that converts. I have tried free traffic programs, and found them a waste of time and effort. I tried Adsense, and lost three times what I made, before the first google slap, when they massively increased the prices of the keywords I was bidding on. So, now I am reluctant to try Adwords again.

  • Hi Joel,

I’ve been a full time infopreneur and web marketer for the past 5 years and when I teach people how to succeed online, at web marketing or at MLM, here are the most common problems people seem to encounter:

    – A lack of basic computer knowledge: it is hard to learn how to use the web and build a site when you don’t know how to do basic things with your computer. I often recommend to people to go take an evening class first, just to be more comfortable with their computer.

    – A lack of self confidence: people read other »s successes, learn a lot online, but never ACT on it because they feel they either don’t « know » enough or they don’t feel they are good enough to succeed.

    – An information overdose: people often orver complicate things. They read so much, buy so many ebooks and trainings, they just don’t know where to start and they just never try!

I think people need to learn how to think like an entrepreneur first, and understand that the web is no different: you need to calculate risk, minimze it, and TRY things to see if it works!

The web is a great way to build residual income, it is just a matter of taking the plunge!

  • I believe that is frustate of that I have many clients but not so many buyers, in proportion. Also that the persons in Argentina do not trust in the business in Internet.

  • Hi Joel,
Can you tell me how to change the info on a salespage to my own personal info and how to set it up so that the product could be downloaded once I do figure out how to be paid first?
    Thank You for your help…
    Denise

  • Joel,

I have been a online marketer for quite some time myself, but find that getting people to the site is the first problem and second is to convert them into a sale.

There are so many programs out there to chose from, people have a difficult time believing that my program is the best for them.

One thing I have learned is that you have to market yourself and not so much the product. I’ve stopped promoting the site and started using capture pages for email capture – so I can have a list to work off of.

    Thanks,
    Dale

  • Hi Joel,

First thanks for the opportunity to tell you what I think is the the most frustrating part for me.

It is generating traffic. I know how to build sites, blogs, squeezepages, etc, but I have a hard time getting enough traffic to make it worthwhile.

I am sure I could do better in some of the other areas too, but traffic is my biggest concern.

  • Joel, one of my problems are the supersponders. I’ve asked how the Supersponder works and I was given a link to read up on. I’ve asked questions again and I was told all of the answers are on that page. To this day, I still do not understand how it works and whether I can have more than one (for specific areas/websites) or it it can be modified.

  • Hi Joel,

My issue with online sales is internet marketing and understanding the tools in which to draw traffic to my websites. I understand the concepts, but the technical part (marketing, autoresponder, newsletter creation, I like your videos!) and the time it takes to create internet sales. I see so many pay per click sites and places to post your site, but which one are really needed and which ones do you stay away from when marketing. how much should I be spending on marketing and what is the most strategic approach. I think I was all over the place here. I appreciate your wanting to help your clients. I really need to be able to evade the listing fees from eBay and other places and really want to know how to best market the products and services that I have to offer.

    Thanks,

  • I’m in the process of trying to set up a site ‘booksabounds’ with Kiosk.
I don’t understand all the technical jargon. Would you believe that I still can’t bookmark it simply with Kiosk.ws ? I’m all round the world for a short cut!Your I.T. boys are first class but I get a feeling of embarrassment associated with all my questions so I just left it and I’m still paying each month and nothing done. • See what I mean- I submit a comment and up comes the message “your comment is awaiting moderation”
I know what moderation means but-
JUST WHAT DOES IT MEAN IN COMPUTER SPEAK?

  • I find it very frustrating when I discover an affiliate product that appears to have great potential, but that also has one or more defects. But the purveyor of that product just doesn’t seem to care.

I find myself struggling with wanting to enthusiastically and aggressively promote that product, but yet not daring to associate my name with it as the sales copy could be considered to be misleading.

How does one go about getting a product or service owner to listen and hopefully fix what would otherwise be a product with exceptional value?

  • I am frustrated because I’ve been trying to make money on the internet since 2003 with little to no success with systems like Plug in for Profits, Home Income Portal and many affiliate programs . All claiming you do this and with there help you will succeed. I believe I am in information over load and after a Lot of money and time I am still waiting , and now here I go again I am hoping I’ve found something that will work Simple Profit Setup Business Package but I must tell even before I can get this started I am having set backs. When dose it ever work out,I hope you can see why I am FRUSTRATED.
    Thanks for the blog

  • Joel

Thanks for asking. My biggest challenge is trying to find effective advertising for my business. I find the new advertising tools on Kiosk to be a big help!

Any more advice would be certainly welcome!

    Thanks for all you do

  • I was not going to answer your question, because I don’t really feel frustrated by much of anything, but then I HAD to answer your question, because if anything frustrates me, it is getting people to answer my questions. 🙂
There is one thing that has frustrated me for a long time and seems to have no solution in site. Hotmail. A large portion of my prospects use hotmail. A large portion of my email to them never gets delivered. I have contacted Microsoft for assistance in resolving this situation and have my programming team checking our servers to see what we can do to get our opt in mail delivered to our people who use hotmail. The funny thing is that the survey from Microsoft asking me about my experience with their support got filtered into my hotmail spam folder! So, if Microsoft can’t even get their email delivered to hotmail accounts, who am I to think that I can ever make it happen? Hopefully people will wise up soon about how unreliable hotmail is and use something else, like gmail. I have had almost no problems with gmail.

  • Although you have all of the viedos in the back office on how to upload pagesto your website I still find it difficult to get done. I think that is the single most frustrating part of the marketing.
    Thomas.

  • Hi,
What disturbes me very much is:
After putting my trust in someone, enough to sign up to their program and pay…than, to be left hanging in the balance,as if it was really my duty to sign up…I should be thankful for the privledge to do so,,, only to be given a Puzzle, with missing pieces. To know that the assumption is wide spread…that one should know, how to use the computer programs, to implement your broken puzzle…there are however, some that are well meaning…but, unfortunately I pay the piper.

  • I’m just starting out and I find that I waste so much time read othe peoples offers and I think alot of them are outdated Once you start signing up for a free offer or to get info, you are then inundate with emails that you end up not reading half of it.
My question is: how do you find a program/product that is recent and has not been oversold already. Otherwise you waste your money generating traffic and you can’t get your clients to signup and even less get them to buy.

  • I would like to know how to record audio with hot conference and how to upload video to my website like you have in your blog. If I can figure out how to record with hot conference I can create my radio shows and pod casts online with our product.

    Best Regards,
    Richard

  • The internet holds great potential for anyone interested in making some extra income, either a little extra cash or a full-time income.

When I speak to people about our site and program they just don’t see the possibilities. We have identified over 20 possibilities that can be delivered over many channels, all with direct, referral and bonus income and for some reason they just don’t get it or can’t see it.

So what is the biggest frustration having people adopt a new mindset about the possibilities. Maybe I’m not a good marketer and can’t deliver a good message. Either they don’t get it or I can’t tell it – just wish I knew which it was.

  • Hello Joel.

Been at this game since Kiosk first emerged some 8 yrs ago?

My frustation? Well I guess it’s all those guys out there including some of YOUR best clients telling me they’ll take me by the hand and teach me how to do what they do and then wanting thousands of dollars for the priveledge .
If I had thousands of dollars I would already know how to make it and more. So getting regular tuition (Take me by the hand) from these guys as a thankyou to Kiosk for making them those big bucks, doing it at prices most of us could afford would be a big step forward.

Gripe & Frustration aside… Kiosk / Hotcvonference is the very best out there I just wish I knew how to convince others of that fact.

    God Bless

  • Hi Joel,
It is great that you will be doing this each week. People need to hear and see you so thanks for doing this.

Is it possible to get one email each week sent out to everyone with the classes available in the public and members only room so more people will come to the classes. Say maybe every Monday morning with classes and presentations for that week listed in the email and reference in your blog to the classes and presentations.

It becomes very discouraging for Claire and Carolyn when only just a few people show up and also Steve when he is in the public room every night from about 10:00 PM to Midnite ET as a moderator and only one or two people show up.

People could get some answers from Steve if they would just go there and seek the help that is available as he is very knowable in many areas as far as marketing on the internet and offline.

Carolyn and Claire both share their time and effort to teach people for free and do an execellant job of teaching, answering questions and providing help to anyone that needs it.

So everyone if you need some help; take advantage of the help that is available to you in both hotconference and kiosk. Do not be afraid to come to a class and ask questions as they have been in the same shoes as you and everyone must start somewhere. We also learn by you asking a question and the question you ask may be same problem somebody else is having. Not only maybe the answer helps you and could at the same time help many other people.

Thanks again Joel and cu later,
    August

  • I signed on to Kiosk last month, But haven’t used it as yet! I am completely new an am not able to get
started? I don’t know how to do any of the things you talked about on the video! I have spent over a thousand dollars these last few months on different supposedly step by step Products But they all assume
I (we’ newbie ) know more than we do.
I download stuff then can’t find where it went,…”DUH”

  • I echo Pierre’s comments. A lot of stuff IS oversold. A lot of stuff is NOT unique. Those people who create unique products will do well.

A lot of wasted time reading the same old products offers over and over again, and all from the same internet “gurus”.

A lot of the products are too expensive for the average “Joe” to purchase.

Kiosk/Hot Conference offers over 20 hours a week of LIVE instruction in the Members Only room – including how to use the SUPERSPONDER and all the other resources that Kiosk/Hot Conference hase available…….. the schedule can be found at:
    http://teambuilding.kiosk.ws

Thank you Joel, for providing this blog for us to send feedback.

    All the Best,
    Claire Poulton

  • Type your comment here.
My frustration is with getting people to my website. I am currently using adword and msn program.

  • One of my big challenges is understanding autoresponders. If you get them with your hosting site, why do you have to go out and purchase separate autoresponders for an additional fee, or are the autoresponders on your hosting account very limited, what is the difference? Also, what about the autoresponder program that you can download to your personal computer, is that just bunk? Sorry, but I am a NEWBIE. Thank You…

  • Wow, some great posts are here. In all it looks like alot of you are either frustrated with.

    1. Basic knowledge like ftp, domains, html
    2. Frustrated with our Supersponder and mail delivery.
    3. Frustrated with getting traffic.
    4. What to market.

I will cover all of these in another video shortly, but what I want to talk to you about today is ultimately what truly makes some of the “gurus” gurus. To be really successful online, you need to become a ME marketer. What do I mean by that? You need to develop your own product or service. Not to say that you can not promote others, but promoting others exclusively is not a great plan.

Do I promote other peoples products? YES! It probably accounts to about $400 000 to $800 000 of our revenues per year. But how did I create a leverage point for promoting? I had my own products first, which gave me the distinct advantage to be able to do it.

I will do some more videos based on all your questions, but I wanted to make a quick comment so you know I am truly listening 😀 Today I have to go co ordinate to pick up a 500 gallon diesel fuel tank for the new Data Center here in San Antonio.

Now how boring is that 😀

    –Joel Therien

  • Well Joel it seems that about 90% of the problems you talk about in the video are covered by Claire, August and myself in the member’s room training. It does bug me that we cannot let the membership know the classes are there and available. We are each willing to answer all of the “how do I” questions that tech doesn’t have the time to do.

The calendar hasn’t been updated in months and months. It seems that you, Rodney and Chet left all at the same time. Someone should be doing the opportunity meetings in the public room, not just anyone but someone with good presentation skills. The videos are OK, but they are not personal enough.

Someone has to concentrate on promotion. All the strategies that are available are valuable to learn and do.

The training is there Joel, the problem is getting attendance. How do we get people off their duffs and into the trainings so they can learn the “how do I” problems they are facing. We do it free and freely so price is not the issue promotion is.

  • Hi, Joel, It has been a long time since Dave or I chatted with you. Sure miss those great chats. Anyway, about our frustrations …We tried bulk email, blasters, ffa pages, pay for clicks, classifieds, ezines to some degree ….. All it did is cost us money. Local promotions are just as tough since every college student in the country is a webmaster, and knows of free or low cost hosting. As you know, we have the entire family in WWK, and we’d love it if our income would go back up. But it isn’t, and we just can’t throw more money at it. So what can one do to grow one’s membership without spending a ship full of cash we don’t have? It is beginning to look and feel like the normal run of the mill mlm, most of which go for a while and then decline. Again, what can one do without costing a lot of money? People join to earn, not to spend. Thanks much for everything you have done. We sincerely do appreciate it. But, online marketing has become extremely frustrating.

  • Hi Joel,

    My biggest frusrations are:

Not many companies offer debit cards as forms of payment for their services. I want to see more companies accepting solo and maestro debit cards… Yours included!

I want to use your company for website hosting, but i am limited to visa, mastercard or paying 6 months in advance through paypal! I can see the reasons for paypal. i.e. reducing monthly processing fees, but debit cards are also needed to be offered to use as a form of payment.

I chose kiosk.ws because of the superior hosting packages and for offering 24/7 live online support. I havn’t seen any other company offer this for hosting. I have an Awesome business in mind that requires your titanium package! My only reason for not completing the sign up process is that you don’t accept debit cards!

  • My challenge is learning how to promote an MLM product using the internet.

  • Well, there really is a lot of good information here. I think that what brought me to Kiosk was a search engine!

I know what made me sign up was the $1 – 30 day trial!

What kept me going was personal contact and great personalized training.

What frustrates me is that I think, and I think many of these comments prove it, we’ve lost our personal contact!

From day one every new person through the door should be treated like a king. Taken by the hand and shown step by step how to do things. Set up, systems, promotions, etc.

    Perhaps having a Kiosk/HC University!

Get back to basics, all the new bells and whistles may be fun and exciting but what will carry us to the top is to maintain a true personal contact and individual treatment of all of our clients. Especially the news ones.

Perhaps even a peer – to – peer training where those of us who have gone before can better and more easily share with those who are new. As well as mastermind with those that are, well, not so new!

Any way, I wasn’t going to write anything… I’m glad I wasn’t frustrated it would have been a library , not just a rather long post!

Bottom line is Kiosk / HC are the greatest and present an opportunity like no other company out there; believe me I’ve tried them all!

I’ve been here for years and love you all, new and old.

I truly believe that together we can!

    Sincerely,
    Brian Hurlburt

  • Hello Joel, Well, in short, I don’t have physical products that I sell. I sell insurance and work at a car dealership. I’ve thought of coming up with numerous products that I might be able to sell but I come up empty handed. And, it seems like people are selling a lot of info on building an internet business but that is basically not my style. In fact, that’s why I’m more or less sitting on the sidelines until I can market my service business.

  • (1)Too many marketers selling the same product.
(2)Internet marketers pawning their outdated material to the masses and after they have given it to their affiliates to “drain the well dry.”
Since being a member of Kiosk I have seen a more assistance with making your income and the backoffice which is very helpful indeed. We hope that people see it isn’t traffic, it the gurus that have swept the floor with our hard earnings and the sweat off our backs taking our money for second hand goods.Look at a product of your own, develop that and spoon feed it to it gives you your income.

  • I am under the press of information overload. My inbox is full of emails and what is very frustrating:tens and tens of Launces everyday, hundreds of Video and 24 hours daily is not enough already to read this stuff.I was involved in 2 Courses:Google Payload(traffic Arbitrage) and Jason Dinner’Video Training Course (he brought me to Kiosk.ws).At some point the sellers stopped to answer my questions.I guess this happened because they have to many guys who do not understand evrything clear and try to figure out what to do.As a result of such “education” I spent over $40,000 during last 10 years and my earnings are Zero.I learned a lot about Internet Marketing but never came to the point where I could earn one cent not dollar. Is there are any chance to break this circle? How to get attention of somebody who you paid and expext to get some help for your money? Now everybody is playing mass Control Game.I am not sure this expensive info will bring somebody without experience to the money.Something is wrong in the Internet Marketing.

  • Internet marketing keeps changing, and by the time people learn something… the program is obsolete. I think a three level course on marketing and how-to’s would be great. If the meetings/classes would be in the evening would be awesome. Most people have day time jobs and cannot participate during the day.

  • Hi Joel

First let me say that you and your whole staff rock! Your consistiant drive to improve not only the quality of products and services offered i belive it is your true
passion to see every member succeed
that has keptme as a member all these years.

The one thing that flustrates me most is doing the testing of ads
    and site content.

  • Hi Everyone:

I REALLY appreciate all this great feedback. Firstly if you DO NOT see your post here it is not because it was negative, as there are some negative posts here. It is because it was not in the context of the question

.Putting a post like ” The only thing that frustrates me is your staff” is not in the context of my question. For example, here are my frustrations online:

    1. There are alot of great Gurus out there, but there are some who are in a hamster wheel. What do I mean, well I bet this sounds familiar? “I make money online by teaching other people how to make money online”. Great, my question is “If you teach people how to make money online, where is your first business credibility?”

    2. I still see alot of people come to us for the sole purpose of uploading 200 000 extracted leads from the internet, duh… that just does not work 😀

I could go on with my own frustrations, but that is not the true context of this post. I am a terrible typist, so please watch for my video today 😀

Again, to all of you I REALLY thank you for your great feedback here, this is going to be AWESOME!

    –Joel Therien

  • Joel, I appreciate your personal approach to your business.

My greatest frustration is that I spend money for domain names, autoresponders, websites and still don’t know how to get them up and running…I am frustrated by my lack of technical skills that I try to figure out but am just wasting a lot of time and money! Haven’t made the first dollar online yet after a year of trying to figure it out! I tried to take advantage of your last big franchise offer but couldn’t figure out how to do it…I’m just techno challenged…big time!
    thanks for listening, Roger

  • Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for all this feedback, I am reading it daily. Right now I am in Long Island New York with Mike Filsaime and Mark Braunstein working on Vtribes.com

I am back in my home office tomorrow and I will get a new video uploaded 😀

  • My biggest frustration is not getting things done. Information overload! I start something and then read that something else is important and I start trying to do that. In the end I end up with nothing!
What is the most important thing I must concentrate on in the beginning?
