  • Joel, thank you very much for the information. Speaking for myself, I do not often see this from a CEO! I really do appreciate the honesty, not to mention the speed. Anyway, that’s what TESTS are for. Now you are back on the air and that’s a good thing. Don’t worry about your hair Joel. You look like you have been up for about 2 days! Perhaps all you need now is just a 14 hour nap. Good night Joel.

  • An example of true leadership. Appreciate ya Joel!
Good seeing you in San Diego.

    Chat soon

  • i just want to know more about this and promote my link with you guys

  • That really is total transparency. I love to hear from you Joel. This really build trust with us and new members I bring to GVO.

  • Hey Joel,
Thanks for the overtime you are putting during the holiday. Make sure you get time for your 7 minutes workout!!
Glad the problem was not my fault. I assumed it was OK to sponsor more than one member per hour!! I will try and slow down. How do you say Slow down in Polish?
Have a Happy New Year. Glad to hear Mike’s voice in the background. You do not want to suffer all this stress on your own.
Thanks for the update. Nothing is impossible with you guys.
    Thanks for a fantastic 2012.

  • Thank you SO much for the status updates, but could someone please tell me what a UPS is. And what does a UPS outage effect–my conference room or hosting–or both?

    • A UPS is a battery power supply that takes over when the power burps, it prevents things from going down at all in event of power failure. When that stops working and we have a power burp servers auto reboot etc

    • UPS stands for ” Undisrupted Power Supply ” Which is used as a means of Protection or back up system in the event there is a power failure or some other issues of disruption etc….( Kind of use like a Generator ).

  • Thanks for the info, but what is a UPS?

  • Thanks Joe..No problems with us. Glad to see you all are on top of this. Thanks for the total transparency. Im sure all understand not much can be done over the holidays. It will all be OK. Get some rest.

  • Thanks for all your hard work. We appreciate it. You still are cute even with no sleep! Go get some rest. We luv ya.

  • My bad luck…. this happened just as I joined… Is this why I can’t access my CPanel… despite having registered a domain with GVO. Happened just as I bought advertising too, does this affect affiliate URL’s as well? …mine does seem to be working at the minute.

I did submit a couple of tickets but I guess you guys are pretty stressed at the moment so don’t worry…. these things happen. I was so excited to get my Blog up and running… guess I’ll just have to be patient.

I’m looking at GVO as my main affiliate vehicle to get me out of my crappy day job.

Thanks Joel and team… hope you get some sleep soon

  • Joel I really appreciate the update. There’s not much you can do until Monday so go and get some sleep!!!

You are doing all you can and that’s all we can ever ask!
If the lights go out on our sites… we know it’ll get fixed up.

Just remember to get a UPS that has More UPS than DOWNS 🙂

SMILE and don’t go getting yourself ill over it.

    Cheers
    Tim

  • Love how you keep us in the loop. Thank you Joel. Just another reason to trust you and the GVO company.

  • Thank you Joel… it absolutely ok…with Us… U always make us feel special….Thanks again..!!

  • Thanks for keeping me in the loop Joel. Get some rest man. 🙂

  • Hi Joel, something that can happens, don’t take that so personal, take care about your health first please. Some people are probably angry now, but they should understand that something like this can happens. We know you are doing your best to fix it up.

  • Can’t imagine how stressful this must be… ‘and those electricians do like there tea breaks’ 🙂 …Hope it all works out soon. Despite the ‘burps’ I am delighted to have joined up. Very impressed with customer support thus far.

  • Hi Joel, you were very lucky it happened at the time it did. As with the holiday period lots of people dont do much advertising until after the new year so not much damage done. I do hope you get it fixed over the next few days as people will start to advertise again and your UPS will get bombarded again (good thing) :-)) Take care Joel and have a good sleep, your health is more important than work, regards, Martin. Oh one more thing I hope you and your family had a great christmas and dont get to drunk at new year, also I wish all of your customers a happy new year..

  • thank you for help me ..behrouz

  • Hi Joel,

Whoever did the engineering should be held responsible for the problems. Have you ever checked out Flywheel UPS units, they are more reliable and require less maintenance. I am an electrician and met you at the Unstoppable Millionaire in Nov. Hope all is fixed quickly for you and you can enjoy New Years Eve.

    • Hi Kevin

I agree, it is very interesting that you mention that, when i first moved to San Antonio I was the new kid on the block and I knew no one. I hired an engineer who told me that he had done the blue prints for hundreds of server rooms and data centers. Nothing could have been a bigger lie. I have been in litigation with him for years now. Happy New Year to you Kevin and it was awesome meeting you!!

  • Hey Joel & Mike, Thank you for the update and being transparent as you always are. I know you are doing everything possible and as quickly as possible. It is technology and things happen. I will always stand behind you as I know how serious you take problems. Don’t let this get you down. You guys need to get some rest and take care of yourselves as well. I hope you are able to enjoy New Years Eve/Day with your families. Love you guys and totally respect your honesty and integrity in business and life.

  • Thanks for the transparency. I was working on some subdomains and noticed that I could not get into my dashboard. Now I know what was going on. Get some rest and all of the technical electrical issues will get resolved!

  • Joel…

You are the greatest.. You’ve never let us down. Always there to see that things run smoothly. Step back, take a break and breathe deeply… You/We will get through this.

Trusting that your New Year celebrations will lift your spirits and last the whole of 2013.

God bless you and your family, all the team out there in Texas and of course Mike P 🙂

  • Joel..

I’m sure most (if not all) of your customers feel just like those who’ve commented above. Funny how some things in life seem like total
disasters at the moment, but turn out to be great blessings in disguise. We’ll still be here when you get everything running again.

    Good luck,

    Mel Hardman

  • Joel, I was sorry to hear that you have these major problems. You came across with all your honesty and I appreciate that. Maybe I am not too active now, but still I wanted to respond as I care.

  • Support sorted me out. My not being able to login to ‘WHM’ was nothing to do with current UPS problem… I just wrongly assumed it was. My IP was blocked on your firewall… thanks for sorting out. How do I get my picture to show up on here?

  • Thx for the update, get some sleep!!

  • Thank You Joel for being transparent and keeping us in the loop .

  • Thanks for the update Joel.

  • OK Joel… What are you really trying to cover-up? Huh? UPS failed. RIIIIIGHT.

Seriously, though, no problem here other than intermittent small glitches (which I have anyway with my old computer & network system).

I recommend you do what other smart CEO’s do… Delegate the tech stuff to the teckies (before they screw things up), get some rest, then go back to doing what they do best _________ (fill in the blank).

Everything is fine. Just get some sleep. And always worry. That’s The CEO’s job!

  • Joel,
This might just be the solution you need right now.

I found something which is totally within your control,
doesn’t require an external power source,
    nor an internet connection,
it has a redundancy system built in place,
it is available in any location, at any time, worldwide,
    and,
    100% guaranteed to work.

This Product is called 7 Minute Workout.

Get some rest knowing you (and Chris) designed a Product which can still be enjoyed, provide benefits, and has zero reliance on any “outside” factors beyond your control!

  • I’m not being serious here with this below, just thought you need a lighter moment at this time. lol

Joel you don’t really believe we’re all falling for this, sounds like our Gov leaders taking us over the cliff to justify tax increases… Are you going to raise GVO membership??

Now being serious Joel, you and all of GVO are the best program on the Planet. A fix is just around the corner.

I’m retired now, but use to be a Heavy Industrial Federal Electrical Investigator/Inspector, prior to that a heavy industrial construction and maintenance electrician. I’ve been involved with multimillion dollar blurbs. Someone, you know for a fact, will come up with better system and fix.

Joel you are a very honorable person owning and operating a company and serving all of us thank you very much for that. Rest and enjoy, Happy New Year to you all.

  • Joel,

Not to be a back seat driver, but it could be an INEFECTIVE grounding system for the electrical and electronic system.
Over-current transients between the two causing back-feed and burning the UPS up. Filter blocking equipment and a low ohmic resistance impedance system could resolve the issue.

Just a thought for your electricians, electronic technician and engineers.

    God Bless,
    Rich F.

  • Thanks for the update, but I would like to know if there is anything new in the pipeline. I have noticed that at times (at least in Israel) the server is really slow.

Love the company and hoping to be able to make some money with it.
